Horrible stay
I’ll basically copy paste what I emailed management and NO response:
Upon check in we called the front desk to inform them that the bathroom door is off the hinge and to bring someone immediately to address it. This door was off the hinge upon our entrance into the room, no one moved nor used it. No one came. I was walking from the kitchen to my room with my 3 month old and the heavy door fell on us. Thankfully it did not fall on my newborn however it did fall on my upper back/neck as I turned to protect him which has left me in immense pain. We called again and someone came, asked repeatedly if we touched the door when we said we did not and we found it that way. I had to visit my doctor for him to now send me to physical therapy for a neck strain.
On our second day, at 4 am a drunken man kept crossing over the fence near OUR room into the motel yelling seeking a women (he seemed to be a worker of the hotel next door as he had on a uniform). He was yelling near our room and eventually made his way into the pool and was throwing chairs and trash cans. He continued to do this repeatedly for 2 hours. We called the motel multiple times no answer. We then called the police to address this situation, due to the reason our 3 year old and 5 year old were scared. That same morning right before checkout, as I am pumping breast milk for my newborn right on the sofa near back door and my children and nephews are playing in the little yard, a suspicious male comes in our room WITHOUT introduction asking if we have circuit breakers? My answer was no. And he still insisted and just stormed in searching all rooms. He insisted to go in the back room and we said there is someone sleeping. He STILL poked his head. He then walked out, but came back again!!
There isnt enough room to write other details but: hotel is NOT friendly for strollers, beach path is not friendly for strollers, only plus is there’s a kitchen. But with kids we felt VERY unsafe. Spend ur $ elsewhere.

I loved how the location over looks the beach …breath taking
I found nothing to complain about other than the cafe that makes alcoholic drinks opens after Memorial Day and I was there a few days shy of the date .

Outside looks shabby, and no TV

newly renovated, great staff, close to the beach
bed bug stains on the duvet cover.

closeness to the beach and town. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
families here were loud and unruly! it was not a place
to relax and chill.. There was no one present on the property to control the loud , drunken people who were not watching their children.

As always the location is the best .
We didn't have any hot water and the shower drain was clogged

I have stayed here before and it is wonderful, Andre is awesome.
Room 1 is great.
Proximity to town is not bad.
Probably my ONLY issue is that there were many bugs on the ceiling & floor and I found myself trying to capture all before going to bed.

Room was the perfect size for my husband and I on our baby moon. We wanted a relaxing few days, close to the beach, with great views…. Breakers had everything we wanted. Beach was a short walk across the street and town was super close. We loved not having a TV and spent the evenings on our deck checking out the amazing stars.

Beautiful location with a view of the ocean. Nice deck and a little cabins to sit out and take in the scenery. Cool vibe by the pool, with a great bar and snack menu. very short walk to the ocean
The air-conditioning in the rooms did not work. Made sleeping very uncomfortable. Check in staff worked short hours. they advertise they have bikes but the staff left at four that day so you couldn’t rent them after that. Pool closed at five.

The look was nice, trendy vibe and the location was great!
The bedrooms were too tight to get comfortable in. Also, there was only 1 luggage rack so the rest of us had nowhere to keep our things organized.

Location is perfect.
I hope the two bedroom we book is located by the lawn, where we don’t have to climb up the stairs as we have small kids.

Close to town. Across the street from the beach but the path to the beach was not too easy to navigate, especially if you have knee or hip issues. There was a nice deck in front of the room where you could eat your meals.
The decor felt & looked cheap especially for the amount that was charged per night. There was a constant noise coming from behind the kitchen area (sounded like running water) that kept us up at night. The shower curtain did not reach the bottom of the shower leaving a space where the water from the shower soaked the floor making for a slippery & unsafe condition every time the shower was used. This is a easily remedied safety hazard. The window coverings/shades were very flimsy with no room darkeners causing sunlight to flood the rooms as soon as the sun came up, waking you, that is assuming you were able to get to sleep with the constant water noise. There was no microwave or tv in the room. Not complaining about no tv since we knew about that when we booked. Woefully overpriced.

Nothing
When I booked my Oceanview room at $950.00 per night I was very happy. When I arrived my room DID NOT have an Oceanview, When I inquire at the front desk I was informed that my problem was I booked with booking.com. I was told a manager at the hotel would reach out to me ,but that never happen. So needless to say I did not enjoy our stay, I would rate them 1 star. I will take this as another lesson in life and move on. But I will say this I will never book at Breakers again and I will never use booking . Com again. Thank you and have a nice day.

Not enough room at the pool, there was a large group that took over!

Incredible views, great pool vibe and very friendly staff. Also nice that you have your own cabin style rooms with kitchen instead of a hotel feel/ adjoining walls, and each room has its own outdoor area. Keypad entry is also great so you don’t need to keep track of your key. Easy walk to the beach literally across the street. AC units in each room were great.
Aesthetic updates were done and look nice/ insta-worthy (beachy/ boho vibe) don’t but don’t seem like great quality. The bathroom in the studio was TINY, like knees hitting the vanity when you use the toilet tiny, and the sill in the shower of the 2-bed wasn’t high enough to contain water so we went through a LOT of towels keeping the floor dry. It was also very expensive, but this was my first time to Montauk, so maybe it was a good value in comparison to other places. The whole place has kind of a younger vibe to it but is not super close to the actual bars/restaurants in town, though town is walkable. (Benefit to this might be a clearer beachfront, so maybe it’s not a bad thing).
