St Bernard's Crescent, beautiful bright and well proportioned 3 bed flat
About this condo rental
Nestled in Edinburgh, this charming condo for $339 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Beautiful bright and well-proportioned New Town flat in one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian Crescents. New to the holiday let market in 2015, 3 bed flat in the Stockbridge area of the Edinburgh New Town. In a beautiful Georgian street, the property is flooded with natural light and overlooks the St Bernard's Crescent Gardens to the front and with views over Stockbridge and to Fettes College at the rear. The flat has been newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard to provide a home-from-home treat for holiday making families or couples, corporate lets and city breaks. 3 good sized bedrooms (1 superking, 1 twin/superking, 1 king; UK sizing) decorated to the highest standard with beautifully comfy beds and bedding. Bed 2 has a hotel-style zip and link bed that can be made up as twins or as a luxurious superking. A very generous living room with dining / kitchen off provides generous seating for 6. The table is extending and is shown in the photo in its smallest setting, it extends with 2 further leaves to generously accommodate 6 or more. With its impressive Georgian architecture, St Bernard's Crescent features regularly on TV and films. The property has superfast wifi, a 4k smart TV, Blu-ray player and the usuals you would expect. Stockbridge: You are less than 5 minutes walk away from all of the amenities of Stockbridge, the village in the city. There is a Sainsbury’s local for a quick grocery shop about 5 mins walk away and a Waitrose within 15mins walk. There is also a range of wonderful independent shops including Shaw’s the butcher, the fishmonger and an amazing patisserie. There are many choices for eating out including Tom Kichin’s family friendly gastropub, Scran and Scallie; Pizza Express; the Raeburn Hotel; Or Take-away and delivery including Domino’s Pizza, Street Food Thai, Pizza Hut and of course a good old British ‘Chippie”; And a good selection of bars, many offering food too, why not start at one of the Edinburgh institutions; The Antiquary or The Baillie. Inverleith Park is 5 mins away with it's historic yachting pond and wide open grounds to stretch your legs; its a popular area for runners and those exercising the children. To the Edinburgh hotspots: From the flat you can walk through the new town into the centre of Edinburgh (George St, Prince’s St) in about 10 minutes or if you prefer you can hop on a bus at the end of the road and it will take you there in a couple of minutes. It will also take you on the Old Town (Royal Mile, Canongate, Grassmarket etc) in another few minutes. Further afield: From this central location, you have easy access to the surrounding Lothians, Borders and other cities such as Glasgow and Aberdeen by train or bus. There are beaches, hills, lochs and mountains just waiting to be explored. Getting here: From Edinburgh airport, you can hop on a bus or tram to bring you into the town centre from where you can walk down to the property or, if you have a lot of luggage, you can pop in a taxi. From Waverley station, I would hop in a taxi. If you are driving in, there is a pay-for-parking bay in Danube St, just opposite the flat. The nearest free parking is about 10 mins walk away, in Arboretum Rd. Why choose this property? Choose this flat because of the stunning architecture, perfect location, modern dining kitchen onto living space, large sitting room, genuine 3 double bedrooms, bright rooms front and back and the fact that you are really not overlooked, which is unusual for a flat in town. There are only 3 flats off the bright main stairwell and the other residents are lovely. Please note that this flat is on the second and top floor, which means that we benefit from added light and better views, but there isn’t a lift so you do need to be able to climb the two flights of stairs. We bought it for our own use during school term time and to let during the weekends and holidays. We have decorated it to highest standards for our enjoyment as well as sharing this with you. My name is Nicola and my husband and I own the flat and are letting it directly. I would be very happy to answer any questions, please just give me a call or drop me an email. Wonderful flat in Edinburgh
We immediately felt at home and Nicola was great at providing everything we could need, even a printer for our boarding passes! The flat was very roomy, with lots of space for our family of 5. It was a little outside the center of things, which made it quiet at night but a bit of a (nice) hike into town.

Great place to stay in a magical city
Outstanding - just what we were looking for, full of character but with modern amenities and a great place to decompress after a transatlantic flight

Arrived after a 33 hour journey to be greeted by Nicola and her beautiful apartment. It was impeccably clean, had the most comfortable bed and best quality linen I’ve experienced in any holiday rental, and the fridge and pantry were stocked with everything I needed before I could pop down to the shop (wine, tea, good coffee and shortbread!) which was just around the corner.
The location was brilliant. I walked to all the attractions in the Old Town and explored many of the pubs and cafes in the area.
Would definitely recommend this property to others and would stay again in return visits.

Spacious, beautiful apartment in a lovely location.
We loved staying in this beautiful, upper floor, Georgian style residence. Very suitable for our family’s needs. The two flights of stairs were fine for my mother-in-law to navigate and we were fine to all share the bathroom. It was a pleasure spending time in the apartment and the kitchen was easy to use for a meal or two. Local shops and restaurants just down the road. Yes, a bit of a walk to George Street but we liked being just outside of the hustle and bustle in a beautiful, livable neighborhood (and enjoyed exploring Edinburgh on foot)! Fantastic host - immediately responsive although we had no issues whatsoever.

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights, June 5-9th, it was the last leg of a 4 week vacation. The flat was perfect! We slept very well, beds were comfortable and the area is quiet. The flat has everything you could think of or need! It is beautifully decorated & the bottle of wine was much appreciated! It is on the top floor with no elevator, so climbing 3 flights of stairs could be a problem for some, but if it’s not an issue then it is definitely worth the climb. We had been to different places in Europe, but we felt the safest in this neighborhood. Quiet, comfortable, clean & safe - what more could you ask for! We would stay here again & hope to again soon!

Fabulous Flat near Edinburgh City Center
My family and I spent 10 days at Nicola's three-bedroom flat near Edinburgh city center for our vacation this year. It's a very nicely and comfortably furnished; very spacious and full of day light with large windows in every room. Nicola is very nice and accommodating. She made sure that we had everything that we needed. The location of the flat is great. It's in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, yet with only a short and pleasant walk to the city center. There are grocery stores, fine restaurants and locally popular restaurants within a few- minute walk from the flat.
My family and I had a wonderful time visiting Edinburgh because of our stay at the flat. I would recommend this flat to any family that plans to visit Scotland.

Fantastic experience
Loved this flat. Ideally located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood which has all necessaries: grocery, pubs, great restaurants. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the old town, and very close to the Botanic garden. The flat itself is huge, and well appointed. Nicola is extremely helpful, and very nice. Next time through Edinburgh, I will definitely stay here again. Excellent in every way.

Gorgeous Flat
My daughter, son and adult grandson all enjoyed a lovely four night stay in St. Bernard's Crescent recently. We were very impressed with the high quality furnishings, bedding, kitchen equipment and artwork. It's just a short walk to Raeburn Street with many fun charity shops, pubs, restaurants and nice shops and a twenty minute walk to Princes Street and nearby attractions.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and provided us with milk and wine upon arrival. She was quick to respond to an issue we had regulating the furnace. It did get a bit chilly in the flat during the wet weather we experienced but was comfortable otherwise. Loads of hot water for the lovely bath and rain shower.
I would recommend this flat to anyone desiring an interesting neighborhood near to the sights but away from the fray in an elegant, historic building. Lots of stairs to climb which none of us minded at all but something to consider.

Beautiful space, great location, treated like royalty.
We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a beautiful flat in the heart of Edinburgh. Nicola is a fantastic communicator and has thought of everything you would ever need in the apartment. This is hands down the most beautiful rental I've stayed in.

Spacious home away from home in beautiful location
We had a wonderful time in Stockbridge. The flat was well-maintained and had all the facilities we needed including very comfortable beds. The living room and kitchen were especially spacious yet still cozy and we always felt like coming home after exploring the city during the day. A special feature are the window seats with a great view of beautiful St. Bernard's Crescent.
The location was perfect for our 2 weeks-stay. Just a few steps away from all the shops and restaurants (and the Sunday market!) of Stockbridge and with regular buses to the busy city centre it left nothing to be desired.
We would love to come back one day!

Wonderful place; perfect location; great service; exceeded expectations!
The four of us could not have been more pleased to stay four days and nights at No. 17 St. Bernard's Crescent. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully appointed, with quality linens and a well supplied kitchen. Nicola was responsive, clear, and flexible, and her informative notebook found in the kitchen had great suggestions for restaurants, places to see and nearby services. We highly recommend this property and hope to be back!

Gorgeous, conveniently located and thoughtfully presented apartment.
Nicola was lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed Edinburgh - it's a gorgeous, walkable city and Stockbridge was very quaint. Only wish we had more time. The apartment was fantastic. I'd rather a place like this over a hotel any day.

Fantastic apartment, fantastic location
After spotting St Bernard's Crescent on a previous occasion, we were not disappointed when we managed to book this beautiful apartment. Apartment beautifully done. Very comfortable and relaxing after a busy day round Edinburgh. Made to feel very welcome by Nicola and nothing was too much trouble. Stockbridge was a beautiful area of Edinburgh with many lovely places to eat and drink. Will definitely be returning soon.

A perfect apartment in an attractive crescent in Stockbridge, close to the city.
We had a lovely long weekend in St Bernard's Crescent. We felt like we were living in the most beautiful suburb of the City. A short walk to Edinburgh meant we didn't have to worry about parking. We had all we needed in the apartment. In Stockbridge there are all the shops you need for food, restaurants etc. It was a perfect stay.
