About this condo rental
Nestled in Porto, this charming condo for $313 per night is a great option for your next break. This is the perfect apartment for those who like to relax at the end of the day, after exploring the city, drinking a Port wine in this refined and warm atmosphere, punctuated with vintage pieces from the first decades of the 20th century! The great comfort of the apartment is guaranteed by the air conditioning and the excellent insulation and soundproofing, and also from the velvet and silk fabrics, and delicate sheets on the beds. The apartment, in a traditional building from the 1940s, has just been completely restored. Its location is perfect for exploring the city of Porto on foot! The kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, oven, grill, espresso machine, kettle, etc., and washing machine and vacuum cleaner. Also available two LCD TVs and Wi-Fi connection. It has two full bathrooms, and the details of the bedrooms are: 1 - the purple bedroom, very cozy, from wich the only opening is a large sliding glass door onto the bright entrance hall of the small balcony, and with thick curtains to cut the light. The imposing rosewood bed from the first decade of the 19th century is in the traditional Portuguese style Dona Maria, and has a comfortable mattress of 1.40 x 2.00 2 - the green bedroom has a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00) and mattress of the highest quality which can be separated into two single beds. There are blinds and curtains for total darkness. 3 - the red bedroom, warm and welcoming, with a sofa bed that opens and turns into a comfortable double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 , and also with thick blinds and curtains for total darkness. To enter into the green bedroom you pass through the red bedroom, therefore, for an occupancy of up to 4 people, the green bedroom works like a large suite with antechamber and private bathroom The apartment has two entrances. By the main entrance, the apartment is on the second floor, without elevator, but with very comfortable stairs. By the other entrance, access is through the gate below to the street and the comfortable outdoor stairs to the balcony. The apartment includes free parking in a garage 50 meters from the building Fresh fruit and Porto wine are offered for consumption on arrival free. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF THE APARTMENT ARE SUBJECT TO A RIGOROUS CHECK BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL to guarantee you maximum comfort and safety. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Manuela was there to greet us and get us settled. She was spot-on with where to go, what to do and recommendations for restaurants. We had a wonderful stay in Porto. Thank you Manuela and Jorge! The location was great - walkable to most activities and great restaurants and shops. The apartment is very well appointed and beautiful. It is also very quiet despite some street noise in the area. We found Uber to be the best way to get around if we tired of walking. Very inexpensive and always available in 2-3 minutes.

We were immediately welcomed from the attendant at the garage to Manuela greeting us in the garage. We were overjoyed with the beautiful well appointed apartment. This property is not to be missed, you are close to everything Porto has to offer, listen to the suggestions of the host, every detail was helpful and enjoyed. She took the time to let us in on fantastic restaurants and insider knowledge of how to navigate the city.
The (quiet) comfortable home with so many little treasures, bottle of wine, basket of fruit, so many luxurious towels. Gorgeous bathrooms, coffee.

The location was very close to many amenities plenty of access to bakeries, restaurants, grocery public transportation and Ubers. It is w/in waking distance ( less than 1 mile ) to the river front , port cellars, restaurants, shopping, and train station. The apartment is 3 rd floor without elevator access and not handicapped access. All necessary kitchen appliances are available and working. Washing machine is clean and very nice drying rack is available.
Some (not most) restaurants are Portuguese speaking for reservations. Our hostess Manuela was thorough and kind to identify local excellent restaurants and areas of interest. She is a treasure as she was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Unlike NYC the Portuguese will not rush your dinner. You will ask for your check before they bring it to you. We found many lovely restaurants on the fork app and did not have any meals that disappointed us.
The apartment is spacious and beds are comfortable. If navigating the stairs are not a problem we would highly recommend this apartment.

This place is perfect. The hosts Manuela and Jorge are great communicators and available. The place has great beds and plenty of comfortable furniture. The bathrooms are nice and well stocked. The kitchen is small, but it works just fine for a vacation - with lots of appliances, pans, dishes, etc. We were two couples - we each got our own bedroom and bathroom. You will enjoy this place.

Having just arrived in Portugal we stayed two nights, and while it unfortunately rained almost constantly, we very much enjoyed our visit. Accommodating our early arrival, Manuela met us at the garage (a convenient 5 minute walk from the apartment) and after explaining the apartment features, she then took time to highlight sites and restaurants on a city map. Communication with Jorge (Manuela's brother) was always prompt and helpful to any questions we had. They both seemed eager to share their love of their city. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and has a personality giving you "a sense of place." When not walking, it was very easy to Uber but if you want to go to Gaia, make sure the driver knows that! It seems Porto and Gaia share some street names. We're sure the city is a very different experience on warm, sunny days, but we were still smiling. Thank you.

This is a very well appointed and comfortable apartment. Jorge, the manager, was fantastic and so attentive. The only drawback for us, as we are elderly and my husband has serious back,we’re the stairs. Also, there was no dryer.

She gave us all the information we needed to know about the apartment and about porto. The apartment was very large with the bedrooms totally separate from one another. One bedroom had it's on separate sitting area, very nice. I have only good things to say about this apartment and would definitely come back. you will not be disappointed

We loved our stay here in this Porto sanctuary! Jorge met us when we arrived, showed us where everything was including wonderful restaurants and where to buy essentials, and he really made us feel very welcome. The apartment itself is lovely - full of well-appointed furnishings and details. Having now stayed in three different properties on this trip (all VRBO), I can say this place has truly been our favorite. It has all the big things (comfy bed and sheets, A/C, parking) and all the little things (clothespins for the drying rack, coffee filters so you don’t have to rush out and buy some) just right. It is close to good restaurants and Porto highlights (the Luis I bridge, Livraria Lellò) but in a quiet neighborhood so you can sleep soundly. I really hope to be able to come back soon and explore Porto some more from this cozy and beautiful home base! A huge thank you to our hosts for such a wonderful experience!

From the moment my wife and I and our friend arrived to our easy transfer to the airport after five delightful days in Porto, staying at this lovely apartment was an exceptional experience. As others have noted, Jorge's warm welcome transformed our visit (and he was readily available throughout). Opening a map of Porto, he circled desirable destinations, recommended stellar nearby restaurants, grocery store, and bakery, and carefully answered our questions. He also provided an excellent selection of fruit and a bottle of port. His generous spirit and guidance positively shaped our entire visit. The apartment itself is very quiet, exquisitely decorated with comfortable beds, soothing colors and lighting, and easy access for walking or taking the metro to everything we wanted to do in Porto. The bathrooms were nicely appointed and fully stocked with fine towels and amenities. We enjoyed using the back patio and steps as an easier entrance and exit to the apartment. We already miss residing there and look forward to returning. This has been our favorite VRBO experience so far, and we have had many good ones. Thank you, Jorge!

A great place in Porto
If only we could have taken the apartment to Albufeira then our North and South Portugal travel would have be a perfect '10.' The apartment had a charm not found in most places. We loved it's convenient location in Porto. Surrounded by great cafés and restaurants . Furthermore, thanks for those who also recommended this place without your reviews it would have been difficult planning our vacation.

Their unit is spotless and updated. It is very comfortable and centrally located. A short walk to old town and many of the sights.

Jorge was very generous with his time the first night we arrived. He showed us places to visit and restaurant to go to on the map. All of his recommendations were high quality. He was also very responsive to our questions over text or email.

Home away from home
Jorge’s communication and warm personal greeting made a welcoming start. Parking was near and easy. The apartment was conveniently located to grocery, restaurants, tourist sites, & public transportation, yet felt nestled into a quiet neighborhood. Pleasingly decorated, ample space, and functioning equipment within the apt made for a comfortable week. Jorge’s a gem of a host with quality recommendations and passion. Recommend without hesitation.

Lovely place and had everything you would need and more
This place was just as described. Very beautiful. Nice location and could walk to downtown areas. They left a bottle of port and cookies for us what a nice surprise and fresh fruit! I would recommend this place for sure. The only couple things is one of the toilets ran and I could hear it from the bedroom. I closed the bathroom door and then didn’t really hear it then. My friend in the other room said her AC unit was hard to control. Mine worked great. One other bonus they had a wash machine we could use

Close in and quiet
This apartment is ideally located on the periphery of the city center, an easy walk to everything downtown, but with no noise to speak of. Furnished with old world charm, the lighting fixtures were a particular delight. Check in was easy and the owner was extremely generous with her time, mapping out restaurants and recommended sights to see. A big bonus is the bakery next door to the property where you can get latte’s and pastry the moment you wake up. The owner was also quick to reply whenever we threw a question her way about things like transportation or tours to the Douro. Highly recommendable on all counts, six stars in a five star universe!

Great stay in Porto!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Porto. Isabel was a great host. She greeted us at the apartment and took the time to show us where most of the major sights were on the map. We arrived early but she allowed us to drop our luggage off which was a huge help. When we came back to the apartment later, there was a bottle of white wine, a bottle of port, and chocolate waiting for us. What a great way to start our stay! The apartment is very large and spacious. It was nice to be able to spread out after spendung a few nights in a small hotel in Barcelona. The location worked out perfect for our group. We walked everywhere! I would definitely recommend this apartment. Our experience was very positive. This was our first visit to Porto. We can’t wait to return!

OMG The best
Everything everyone says about Manuela is 100% spot on. She was amazing and sat with us for about 45 min going over Porto and surrounding area. Visited just about each one and all were amazing. Porto is beautiful and the apartment is close to everything. We did a Pasterrie de Nata hunt to find the best. Try them all at1€ /ea. We visited the Livraria Lello (Harry Potter bookstore) 30 min before closing and there were no lines. Good time to go and get a more intimate experience especially at 6pm when everyone has filed out. Duoro was awesome unless you have little ones. We drove. The road from Porto to Quinta Crasto (we just walked around as they were booked through September for tours) took us through harrowing but spectacular road and wine country. Try it if you dare and hope that Microsoft Maps routes you the same way. Went to Quinta Nova (10min from Quinta Crasto) for a fabulous but pricey lunch. My daughter said it was the best day of her life. Anyway the unit was fabulous, Manuela was fabulous and we loved it. Sad to leave. Our host in Algarve doesn’t hold a candle to her although this place is stunning too. Everything is within walking distance. Don’t need a car around town if
as Ubering is very cheap. We used ours for Duoro, Matosinhos (eat at the seafood place she recommends during sardine season - yum) and Gueifaes
