Great property in an excellent location. Our host was fantastic and very accommodating. I'll be looking this place up again the next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Terrific Amsterdam flat

Marjorie was so welcoming and helpful! The apartment was perfect - clean and well stocked. We were very grateful for the air conditioned bedrooms during the hot week we were there. Also, really appreciated the washer and dryer!

Marjorie’s flat is terrific! Great vintage feel. Plenty to do nearby. And Marjorie is a terrific host- treats in the kitchen, fresh flowers, the whole package. We’ll stay again when back in Amsterdam!

While being close to all the sites and action, this property is just far enough off the beaten path to not be too crazy! The amenities are wonderful. Feels like home away from home.

Our stay at Marjorie’s place was perfect. Easy walk from Central Station upon our arrival. Such a charming place, quaint, spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable and well stocked. Being centrally located was perfect for us, as we chose to walk everywhere in Amsterdam. Thank you so much Marjorie for a lovely stay!

The flat was beautiful, and air-conditioned bedrooms were a much-welcomed plus during the recent hot weather. Marjorie was very pleasant and met us in person to give us keys and acquaint us with the flat. Beds were comfortable and—crucially—the towels were of high quality and fresh. Well-stocked kitchen. On the same block as a Metro station. Just note that if you are in the 6-foot range, the ceilings may require being aware. Thank you Marjorie.

Marjorie’s flat is so very charming! She was wonderful, friendly, and not intrusive in any way! And she even had flowers and other wonderful goodies waiting for us. The flat has a wonderful kitchen, best we experienced in 6 cities of travel! Well equipped, too! Enjoyed cooking and looking out over the lovely back gardens. And it was nice to have a bit of English speaking TV news available, as well! The beds were comfortable and the air con was important given the recent heat wave. And there are blinds for privacy and darkness, if needed! And the location is fabulous...close to everything, the Metro, a grocery, lots of restaurants, too. The only cons, which I hate mentioning because the flat was so wonderful, and as earlier stated, are the steep stairs. I wouldn’t recommend the flat for anyone with large, heavy luggage, or if you are physically challenged, in any way. The front side bedroom is a bit loud due to people walking home from the bars later in the evening. Ear plugs and a white noise app solved the minor issue. Marjorie and her home are first rate 💖�

The home is situated in the heart of Amsterdam, close to all the action, but not so close that you cannot escape for some peace and quiet. The apartment is at the top of the building, up some very steep stairs, which is normal in these old homes. We had no problems, but if you have mobility issues, you should check. As you are at the top, considering how central the apartment is, you hear very little street noise, except for a bit on Friday from the restaurant next door, which I think is normal. Marjorie made us feel very welcome, she is an excellent hostess. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Loved staying in this real Amsterdam-like home. Great location. There are three steep stairways to climb. There was wine, croissants, cheese, and jam waiting for us. Great hospitality. Majorie was extremely helpful and there if we needed anything.

We absolutely loved this place! Marjorie was so kind and helpful. The place was so clean and nice, and it couldn’t have been in a better location. Right beside a metro stop, and close to anything you might need. We hope to return someday!

We really enjoyed our stay!!! We flew into AMS and took the train to central station. The apartment is about an 8 minute walk from central station. We were very happy with the location of the apartment. It is in a safe neighborhood. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to Dam Square. It is a 2 minute walk to the Nieuwmarkt. There is a subway stop right near the apartment. It is about 20 minutes walk to the major museums. There are trams nearby too. We chose to walk everywhere we went while we were in Amsterdam. We arrived prior to check in time but Marjorie let us stow our luggage so we could start our adventure without dragging our luggage along with us. She is extremely sweet. She answers emails quickly which I like a lot. She left wine, croissants, cheese, and fruit jams as well as beautiful flowers. The apartment is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. It is also well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. We really liked the Nespresso machine. There was plenty of soap and shampoo. She replaces towels etc. as needed. The pictures that she posts of the apartment are very accurate. You need to be able to go up and down stairs as is typical in apartments in Amsterdam. This is an excellent value in an ideal location. My family and I highly recommend this apartment!!!

Marjorie was an excellent host. She was very accommodating in welcoming us to her home when we arrived. The home was beautiful and even better than the pictures! It was so convenient being within walking distance of the City Centre. We loved being able to walk to the market a block away and have a kitchen to cook our meals in. We can't wait to visit Amsterdam again and will certainly be checking to see if Marjorie's place is available.

We really enjoyed our stay at Marjorie's fantastic apartment. It was really well equipped with lovely comfortable beds. Kitchen and bathroom were very modern. The location of the apartment was fantastic and was a perfect base for exploring the wonderful city. We loved staying in the heart of Amsterdam! Everything is within walking distance. Marjorie has so many wonderful Dutch goodies for us! Everything was super clean and comfortable! Would totally stay again!

My husband and I, and two adult children, just returned from a wonderful vacation in Amsterdam. We stayed at Marjorie's lovely apartment and we found it to be perfect -- clean, comfortable, and welcoming and she was the perfect host! It is fully equipped, with everything you could need. You know what they say about location -- location, location, location -- yes, this was the ideal location; centrally located so that we could easily walk to everything in Amsterdam (we walked over 50 miles during our 6 day stay and it was awesome!). A close walk to Amsterdam Central Station for those day trips outside the city. Marjorie's place is located on a quite street but restaurants, bars, shops and a grocery store are all within a one block walk. Do not miss the Saturday Market just steps away from her entrance. Everything you could possibly want. We just loved it and I would highly recommend you staying with her. We surely will when we return to Amsterdam!
