We loved this apartment - it was 5 minutes from the CMC hospital and close to lots of wonderful eating establishments, so the location can't be beat. However, the kitchen is SUPER small, can't open the dishwasher door all the way, there was no dishwasher soap left for us and the oven is a whole 'nother story. It only shows heat in Celsius so you better bring a conversion tool. Wish there was a manual or instructions on the oven, we would have been able to use it more. The beds were comfortable, the view was fun watching all the dog-walkers pass our building. Would consider staying again....if I could figure out the oven!

Top floor apartment with great mix of modern kitchen and art with original archways, molding and floors. Wine, alcohol and a few mixers included to enjoy drinks with friends after a day of sightseeing in Charlotte. Note that walls are not sound proof - loud talking or crying children will be heard by neighbors. However great location on Queens Road - close to downtown and beautiful upscale neighborhood!

Super Location, nice neighborhood. Close to everything, nice apartment and host. A/C didn’t kick on, but we didn’t report it, since temps were bearable. Comfy new couch and nice welcome, host provided wine, pasta sauce, cookies, etc . Very comfortable stay.

The location was perfect and the property manager made sure it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including English muffins! It was a great spot for our family for a quick trip.

Jim’s communication was immediate and thorough. Both check in and check out processes were simple and straightforward. The apartment was extremely well appointed and all the little touches (complimentary wine, liquor, mixers, fresh fruit, makings for a pasta dinner, English muffins, info for things to do around town, Roku TV with all the apps you could want, excess linens, plenty of parking and a secure facility) made it feel like some high priced B&B. And it’s location meant everywhere in Charlotte was no more than five to ten minutes away. Could not have been happier and would recommend the Home Collection to anyone staying in Charlotte. Thanks again J&J!!

This is my third stay in one of The Home Company apartments. They are so well located, in the gorgeous old growth area of Queens in Charlotte’s most charming neighborhoods. Every time I travel to Charlotte I stay in one of their places. Their service just keeps getting better. The apartment is stocked with thoughtful small items like mini-butters, pasta sauce and noodles, Pelegrino & tonic water, wine, and even gin, vodka to make a cocktail upon arrival.
The beds are comfy, especially the master, which is well appointed with high thread count condor sheets. Each unit has a washer and dryer, a vacuum if you a spill of any kind, plenty of pots and pans so you can actually stay in and cook. TV’s in every room, good wifi, a plethora of towels and enough bath products for a long weekend.
When we arrived we had a little trouble figuring out which wifi network to use, and within minutes Jim was on the phone. Total customer service.
I highly recommend their apartments. You truly feel like you are home.

This was the perfect stay for my family and I. The property owners were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. The location is amazing and the apartment is very well stocked with anything you might need during your stay. Can't recommend this place enough!

We absolutely loved our stay at the apartment! It was in a great location with beautiful tree-lined streets and homes. We loved the neighborhood park nearby. The home was beyond our expectations! Everything was there! Even things like a blender that you rarely get in vacation rentals. Absolutely everything was provided in the kitchen. You know a good property when the shower liner is very clean😊 What was most spectacular was the customer service. James was very responsive and gave great suggestions to make our stay enjoyable. Even when we had issues connecting our devices, he was really responsive to ensure the issue was addressed. Oh I must also mention the wonderful gifts we met. Especially for tired travelers, coming into a home with breakfast and first night dinner was fantastic. Can’t say enough great things!

Very Comfortable, Lots of Room and Great Location
We spent a long weekend in this unit and it was great. We love this neighborhood (very residential feel), and it's still very close to great restaurants and bars (as well as Uptown). This is the second time we've stayed in this building (we rented a different unit the first time), and both experiences were top notch. The managers of these properties understand customer service. We'll definitely use them again.

Cozy apartment!
This apartment was perfectly located for us to visit relatives. Very clean, easy to access, and relatively quiet considering how close it is to the some of the busier suburban roads. Love the food/essentials stash too -- my only complaint is that there was no dish soap (only dishwasher detergent) and no coffee filters (but there was coffee!). But that was easily solved with a Harris Teeter run! Looking forward to visiting again.

Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely book again. LOVED IT!
I needed to temporarily relocate due to storm damages. Initially I was staying at well-known brand hotel/suite... but decided to look for something that had more of a "home-like" feel. This was my very first experience with VRBO. The photos were 100% accurate. The property is located in a very quaint/historic area. Felt completely safe walking alone (female). Walking distance to several restaurants and a nice park, coffee shop, convenience store and a 2-story Harris-Teeter Supermarket. The host/owners are extremely generous. Upon arrival, I was greeted with an assortment of food/drinks (enough to last my entire stay). The property was clean and had everything I needed. My favorite room was the office/front porch (a great place to sip my morning coffee and watch people walking their dogs). The decor was an eclectic mix of gender-neutral soft-tones with a few splashes of bold colors and furnishings that combined an urban-contemporary feel with a few traditional antique-ish items here and there.
The owners have put a lot of thought and love into the building.
Would be ideal for a small family, couple, single person, business person, etc.
Very happy! Thanks!

Great Condo, Great location and Great Personal Touch
Stylish and practical space. Property is in a great neighborhood - you can bike or take a short car ride to many of the local attractions. We stayed in the home with 4 adults with plenty of room. We all loved the extra touches the owner provided and the arrival treats!

Great accomodation, close to pretty much everything.
Myself and 3 buddies rented this place for a weekend in Charlotte, including going to a Hornets and Panthers game. The place is very close to pretty much everything, but still gives you a residential feel. The place was spotless when we arrived and well stocked. Communication with Charlie was effortless. I would very much recommend this place for anyone coming into town.

Outstanding accomodations
The staff was very accomodating throughout the entire process. In fact, my expectations were exceeded during my stay at Queens Terrace. The atttention to details was above and beyond to include the ornate decorations and view. Charlie is unbelievably professional and hospitable; all special requests were taken care of immediately. No doubt, I will stay here again with no mental reservations.

Good business amenities
Place was in good shape and clean. I think for 2 people the place is perfect, or two couples. There was three individuals staying here and the futon is fine for the third person, but there is no privacy.
Kitchen is good, and the laundry facilities are very helpful.
Overall its a great place to stay and relax after work.

Happy New Year to us...
Our stay in Charlotte was amazing! The apartment on Queens Rd exceeded all of our expectations. Among many things the unit was clean, cozy, charming, and comfortable.
Perfect location. Great neighborhood for walking. Jim and all of his staff understand what customer service is all about. We feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle 2015!

Perfect Girls' Trip Accommodations
Four girlfriends and I recently stayed here for a weekend away and it was an excellent choice. We weren't ever far from "home" as we explored Charlotte's adorable neighborhoods (and Uptown) and the large common area with attached bedrooms provided us with the opportunity to spend time together and private space for when we needed to get a little work done or FaceTime with our toddlers. The house itself is well-appointed and well-decorated and a wonderful home away from home. I would recommend this property to anyone staying a few days in Charlotte and hope we make it back again some day!

Nice Apartment
Our apartment was modern in design, up to date, very clean and full of light - very welcoming! James, Jim and Lisa are great hosts. Lisa went out of her way to get the apartment ready early so we could get in ahead of our visiting family to check things out, and boy were we ever envious - we wanted to move in! The welcome basket and easy communications with our hosts left us with a feeling of welcome and gratitude. The central location (happens to be very close to our residence) was so convenient and close to all the amenities in and around the neighborhood. Thanks so much, and good luck with this terrific business model as an alternative to hotel living for out-of-towners visiting Charlotte. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and we will certainly rent again when the need arises.

Crowd Pleaser
In a group, one always makes the executive decision concerning the accommodation and then prays it will be awesome. It was. The welcoming gifts were unexpected and very much appreciated.
The space was warm and well thought out. Everything was there; all kitchen gadgets, extra towels, sheets. I over packed as completely forgot about the washer/dryer.
I would say 6 would have been a tight squeeze, but we were 35+ yr old women so probably more space sensitive. 4 adults worked well.
The location was fantastic. You could walk to the park and Target was literally around the corner.
Brava Jim and James - we'll be back next year!

Great Location!
I must say, aside from the internet problems early in the week, I have really enjoyed your hospitality and commitment to excellence with this property. I rent through VRBO a lot and upon arrival I was blown away at the condition of the inside of the condo. You did a great job with renovations on this unit. I did not have any needs that were unmet. Furthermore, you chose to stock the unit with some basic foods, drinks, wine, champagne, and more! You are an exceptional example of creating a “home away from home!” Thanks for your commitment to excellence!

Stylish and Comfortable
This is the second time this year my family and I have stayed at 500 Queens Rd, and it felt like going home! The apartment manages to be totally cool and comfortable. There is obviously a lot of care and attention paid to the decor (a lot of mid-century modern and other beautiful modern pieces). I love that they support local artists, too - the artwork everywhere is fantastic. It's clean and well maintained. We did have some problems with the internet, but Jim had Time Warner come out right away and address the issues. The location is lovely and convenient. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time in Charlotte. This beautifully decorated apartment was close to everything, yet set in a great neighborhood with sidewalks for an evening stroll. The owners made sure everything was perfect on check in with a well equipped kitchen and all the little extras of home. We will definitely return for a romantic getaway or another family event. Can't say enough about the experience!
