About this house rental
Located in La Jolla, this attractive house for £222 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Kayadon 1 is considered a well-equipped 1-1/2 bedroom, 1 bath unique beach cottage utilizing an open concept design. What is a half bedroom, you ask? The expanded living area can be sectioned off with a gliding wall for privacy to make a half bedroom with full-sized memory-foam murphy bed and closet. The kitchen includes all new stainless steel appliances and windows that open to create an indoor/outdoor dining area, seating up to six people. Serve up your family and friends, just like a local beach bar. The large out door living area has plenty of comfortable seating for people watching and enjoying the cool ocean breeze. For the evening, the fire pit and overhead market lights provide warmth and ambiance. The cottage is on La Jolla Blvd. which is active during the day, but quiets down at night. If you are a person who is an EXTREMELY light sleeper, we provide sound machines for each bedroom. Kayadon 1 can sleep 4 in beds depending on the closeness of your group with one queen and a full. Keep in mind, it will be cozy! The cottage is equipped with both washer and dryer as well as central air conditioning making your stay comfortable, no matter what the weather! We had an amazing stay. Property is in great shape and has so many extras that made this trip wonderful. We walked to the beach each night for sunset and then sat by the fire pit in the evening! The town is perfect for dinner and checking out sea lions! We will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with others.

Loved this cottage! It even looks better in person and full of surprise amenities. The place was charming, clean, welcoming, and in a great location with lots to walk to. The large lit front yard area with fire pit kept us bringing take out “home”. So relaxing. We definitely plan to return. Communication with the host was perfect.

This place was just perfect!! It's a short, quick walk to the beach. The outdoor space with the fire pit make for perfect evening hangs. The indoor/outdoor kitchen window was a hit-- many passers-by stopped to ask if we were selling coffee or cocktails :) Terri and Michael were communicative, and there were no surprises. So glad we chose this place. Highly recommend it!

Loved the cleanliness and coziness of the cottage. Fantastic access to restaurants and walks along the beach without hopping in a car. The lounging area outside is on La Jolla Blvd with some traffic but noise at night was never an issue. We sat outside in the evening and people would pass as they walked their dog. It was always pleasant, relaxing, and safe. We would definitely stay here again.

This cottage was perfect! I spent four nights here with my two best friends, celebrating a milestone birthday. This cottage is perfectly equipped with everything. And clean! You can’t beat the location and though it’s on a busy street, we felt safe the whole time. We walked to the beach to watch the sunset each night and to dinner. Both beds, including the Murphy bed, were very comfortable with very soft sheets. We were outside for a good portion of our stay and it was just lovely. I have stayed in many VRBOs but this one is definitely a favorite now. I will be back!

Home is beautifully decorated and very clean. It is on a busy street , but the street noise didn’t bother us at all. They do have sound machines by each bed , but we found we didn’t need to use them. Everything in the home was wonderful, my only suggestion I have for the owner is to have some kind of pull down shade for the folding kitchen window, when getting out of the shower and having to exit the bathroom with a towel on to get the bedroom to get dressed , you’re kind of exposed to the road outside..We truly loved the home and would definitely stay again..

Great use of space!
This home was absolutely adorable and was perfect for our family of 4! The location made it easy to walk to the beach and restaurants/shops. Every space is utilized perfectly so it feels bigger than it is. We would definitely stay again!

Love this place.
This was our second stay in this delightful little cottage. It is impeccably decorated and immaculately clean. We especially enjoy the firepit in the front yard. This year friends joined us for a bottle of wine and great conversation and gathered around it. It is right on busy La Jolla Boulevard. We really did not mind the noise but one more tall shrub to screen the fire pit from the street would add a little privacy. We most assuredly return in the future.

We had the most wonderful stay at Kayodon Cottage in La Jolla! It was gorgeous weather and there are so many things to do close to the area! Our favorite though was taking walks above the beach on Neptune Place. Breathtaking views and you can never get tired of watching the Pacific! Thank you so much for a totally perfect vacation!

Heaven in La Jolla
The only thing better than this house is the sands of WINDANDSEA beach. Just spent a few days and will absolutely stay again!
The host has thought of everything to make you feel comfortable & at home! Ate at home & enjoyed the patio every night.

PERFECT, again!
This was my husband's and my second stay at this property, and it is definitely in our top 5 of all rentals. We rented both cottages and our family accompanied us, from Colorado and had an equally wonderful experience. The cottages are immaculate and extremely well appointed from great linens, to great kitchens and appliances. The location speaks for itself and morning walks to the beach are fantastic. We enjoyed the BBQs and the fire pits each night and just in general love these properties. We will definitely be back, ALOT!!! Thank you Terri and Michael for being great hosts!

This listing is EXACTLY as it is advertised. Where it exceeded expectations was in just how clean it was! It is a perfect place for two. If you needed to use the Murphy bed for a child, it could certainly work, but using the Murphy bed would make the place feel pretty tight. For the two of us it was PERFECT! The condo is well equipped with excellent amenities. The beach towels, bath towels, bed linens are all HIGH QUALITY. We were in for a golfing weekend, so didn't even look in the garage to see what the beach gear was, but if we return for a beach weekend, we will definitely see if this lovely condo is available. Our friends rented the unit next door and we had both yards to use. Having off street parking was great! (Though it appeared fairly easy to find spots in the neighborhood, it was nice to come back later in the evening and not have to worry about it.) The road noise did quiet down later in the evening. We did not have windows open, but did not even need to use the noise machines that are provided. We slept like babies. There was plenty of dresser storage for our things and a nice number of hangers in the closet, too! It was so nice to be able to unpack and feel like we were living there for a few days.
There is a beach within an easy walk for evening sunsets and plenty of restaurants and a nice small grocery market within walking distance as well. The location was wonderful.
Also, a it was a nice touch to leave a bottle of wine for us to enjoy on our first evening. Thank you!

Exactly as described.
The cottage was perfect for our week long stay in La Jolla. Our 2 year old absolutely loved running around the front yard every morning & the indoor space was extremely clean & comfortable. The location is ideal for a quick walk to the beach & tons of shopping & restaurants all around. The hosts are very communicative & check in/check out was a breeze. We will definitely be back!
