Situated in Lake Placid, this charming house for £415 per night is a great option for your next trip. AT THE TIME OF BOOKING, kindly let us know the REASON for visiting Lake Placid, the TOTAL number, and AGE of all house guests. This information is needed to finalize the booking/reservation. Family groups or groups ages 30+ ONLY. Rugby/Hockey/Lacrosse teams are NOT ALLOWED. Our charming cottage, Adirondack-style home, is located in the heart of Lake Placid, in a quiet residential neighborhood, just two blocks (a 3-minute walk) from Main St. shopping and restaurants. Hillcrest Park is located steps away with a full playground for children. Our home sleeps 10 comfortably. Bedrooms are air-conditioned during the summer months. A large screened-in porch, fenced-in yard and sun deck with a gas grill allows you to enjoy some outdoor fun, and don't forget to stop in the outdoor hot tub for a dip! Inside, enjoy the wood-burning Vermont stove in the living room, or watch a great movie in the cozy den while your children enjoy playing some air hockey/ping-pong in the furnished basement. Off-street parking allows for three (3) cars. The property is semi-wooded with a mix of White Pine, Birch, Aspen, and Scotch Pine. Views of High Peaks to the southwest. *Cameras are installed outside the property facing property entrances to be used for the owner's security and safety of the premises. Permit STR-200301.

Overall the property was a excellent stay. Close to Main Street (short walk). House was very clean. Hot water for showers for 10 people was a problem. Only a few could take shower at a time. Also, could have used a second TV.

We had a great weekend with our friends, including four kids ages 12-15. There was plenty to do in the home and in the village, all in walking distance. Another great weekend here- our 3rd time at this property! Thank you.

This property was wonderful. Lots of space, fully Equipped , and very clean. Our stay couldnt have been better. The fenced in yard was great for our young kids and the sun room was convenient too ! Would recommend for anyone.

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is very well situated in Lake Placid, close to all. It was very clean and well equipped. Has a charming front porch to sit and rock on. My only comment would be that the upstairs claw foot tub is a little difficult to shower in due to its lack of grab bars or anything else to steady yourself on climbing in and out. Perhaps not the best option for the elderly or mobility impaired however, there is a more accessible shower stall in the basement if need be. Overall a very nice place. Upon arrival the house appears very dark and dreary but if you pull up the shades, blinds and shutters more light will brighten up the space. I guess they keep it closed up for security purposes. The beds were very comfortable to use and there’s an abundance of pillows to use. It’s about a ten minute walk to the center of downtown. In town, parking is often scarce so when practical, walk. We weren’t there long enough to use the hot tub or rec room in the basement but they looked nice too. Ditto the washer/dryer. I thought it was a very good value for the money and the instructions for arriving and departing clear. There’s also a 24/7 emergency number in case something goes wrong.

The house setup is great for spending time with family and friend. Centrally location to all attractions in the Lake Placid area. Easy walk to downtown. Comfortable beds. The front porch is a wonderful spot for your morning coffee.

We stayed for a long weekend and overall the property was great.
Pros:
-Location - super close to Main st in the village. a hill to climb to come back, but wasn't horrible
-living area - lots of room for ppl to sit if needed
-a/c in the bedrooms - main floor did not have it, but great cross breeze and it was fine
-Seemed to be a very safe area
Cons:
-the lawn and steps could use some TLC. grass was not mowed so had to trudge through high grass/weeds to get to fire pit and hot tub. Steps into the property had a lot of debris that included lint from dryer all over. Just not a great first impression.
-the basement was not great. We had some rain and that flooded a good part of the basement with the washer and dryer and ping pong table. Definitely had an odor of mildew down there.
-shower situation. upstairs shower was in a claw foot tub which was pretty, but not super functional. hard to get in and out. the other shower was in the basement and was not aesthetically pleasing with smell down there.
Overall I do want to say that the owners were very responsive when we called about the flooding. I know it's Mother Nature and not much you can do about that. Overall a good experience

This house is in a perfect location and inside was clean and comfortable. The outside could look nicer with a clean up. I would also recommend more clarity in the listing as to the fact that the upstairs bathroom where bedrooms are has a claw foot tub with shower (awkward for an older person) and the other bathroom with shower is on the lowest level so not as convenient. The owners were very responsive to my questions prior to arrival and we were able to get in a couple hours before checkin which was perfect as we had an event to get ready for. Overall I would recommend this house.

Couple issues that could use resolving otherwise good house. Upstairs bathroom sink only has hot water, no cold. Ran out of hot water in showers after two showers. Beds couple use mattress toppers- all very hard.

Great roomy house with a great location. Loved that we could walk to the village with its restaurants, shops, and to take a walk on the frozen lake. House was clean. Hot tub was great. Thanks for the extra hot tub towels. Loved the ping pong and air hockey. Two suggestions: Although the dining room and kitchen have good lighting the other rooms don’t. Also, instructions about how to set the radiators for the bedrooms would be helpful. They were stone cold and the bedrooms were freezing even after the rest of the house warmed up. We opened the bedroom radiators and then it was broiling hot. We found barely opening those radiators worked best. We would certainly stay here again.

We had a great time in Lake Placid, NY. This property is super close to downtown and was perfect for our family. Street parking was not an option due to the snow so it did make parking challenging for our 3 vehicle group.

LOCATION WINS!
This was our first trip to LP, and the location of this home could not be more ideal! Just a quick 3-5 minute walk to Main Street, where everything is. Yet on a quiet street, away from any crowds and with easy driving access to all the things outside of the main village. The house provided more than enough space for our family of four, including two teen boys. And the basement games and jacuzzi were perfect when we returned from daily activities. We did not cook or eat in, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. If sharing with another family, there is ample room - just keep in mind the bedrooms are all together. Super cozy and with the Lake Placid vibe we were wanting. The driveway and walk were cleared of snow for us daily. This special home definitely contributed to our enjoyment of the long Presidents' weekend at Lake Placid. Thank you!
