Good place, but nothing special

Nice room with very high ceiling. Breakfast was okay

Not really in the center of the city so a bit long walk to the main places, but still okay

Excellent. We will stay there again when we get another chance to visit Bujumbura.

We were impressed with excellent hospitality offered by the staff. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we loved a calm and peaceful atmosphere of its garden too.

If in Bujumbura, that's the place to stay!

I stayed for a second time in that great hotel-surprise in Bujumbura and I'd like to nominate now the excellent staff: Tierry, Venuste, Vital, Une and of course Valery, the manager, for their professionalism and kindness. Thank you all !!

A beautiful oasis not to miss in the heart of Bujumbura!

It was the best hotel I booked in my 20 days trip in beautiful Burundi and Rwanda! Its functional simplicity and positive vibes, nicely minimal with a wonderful internal garden and restaurant, lovable staff with a Burundian huge heart, superb cuisine (oh that chicken!) and of course with Valery, the owner: A new Burundian-Belgian Friend of mine, sociable, helpful with knowledge for the Country and good English. I felt really at home! Thank you so much for the experience, Val, I hope to come again in your little oasis! A comment also for Burundi: I loved it, it's a safe Country everywhere, the drummers are FANTASTIC don't miss them!, places, forests, parks are unique and safe, food is ok and clean, people are hospitable, sweet and polite but please ...don't walk alone at night. Take one of all these cheap safe taxis, always ! :)

Spotless and comfy hotel in Bujumbura

The Urban Lodge is one of the best place I stayed in (and I travel a lot)! The staff and the owner are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and they fixed it right away. The rooms are simple but elegant. The bed is comfortable, the AC is really helping with the heat of Bujumbura, the shower is working well with hot water and good water pressure. You have a mosquito net in the room, but also on the door (so you're double protected and you can leave the door open at night if you don't like the AC). The breakfast is simple, but tasty and everything is very fresh. The rooms are spotless. You are within walking distance from many good restaurants, but you can also easily find a taxi in the street nearby. I have even recommended this place to colleagues coming to Bujumbura and they also loved it.

Good

I arrived late and there was someone to let me in. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, clean bathroom, and friendly staff. I also loved the breakfast/lounge area - looks like someone can work there well. It was also simple and nice + I loved the garden.

Maybe offer towels as white as the bedsheets that you have, otherwise, no complaints. I stayed there for a night and the lodge served the purpose.

Urban Lodge is a feel at home place. Period !

I am Burundian but live abroad now, I know the country and that location, Urban Lodge is one of the best, if you see a room available, trust me don't think twice, just book and read the rest of the comment later. Urban Lodge is a feel at home place, the staff are both professional and friendly and the manager is super cool and available. I lived in that neighbourhood 7 years ago, I can guarantee that it's the best location in Bujumbura, you can reach any place from there. The Manager is a very friendly person and very available, the staff are very friendly and really do their job so perfectly.

Relaxed, clean room, and quiet for long visiting clients. Tremendous customer care from the Val the owner of the lodge. He recommends reliable partners with different companies for outside activities like hiking Mountain Heha which we so enjoyed. Their cleaner was so sweet and lovely. Attended to every detail within the spacious rooms. The communication with Val was brilliant. He is such a laid back chap. I loved hanging out with his mates every other evening when they came around to have a drink. Interesting people.

I wish local dishes were available for breakfast menu. Also shower curtains ought to be changed often since they tend to smell badly if the water is not well drained off them.

Fashionable and sophisticated lodge

Great Location, Clean rooms, afrocentric decor 😍..the breakfast was nice. Very friendly staff and host 😊 The WiFi is fast (very important for remote workers). I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend Urban Lodge 💯

Urban Lodge is an easy 10/10! Beautiful rooms, exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and an easy walk/drive to all the major points. Quiet at night with no issues using the Wi-Fi for work calls. Highly recommend.

Simple bliss in Bujumbura.

The hotel is so clean, I thought it was new. The management is very responsive, and helps find solutions to any challenge. The breakfast was lovely in a covered outdoor seating area, and evening tea also provided. Great location for running early mornings as well.

The internet was not the best.

Generally, my stay was great. I will book Urban Lodge again the next time I am in Bujumbura.

The rooms are simple but elegant. The bathroom is nicely designed. The breakfast and food is great. The owner is welcoming and social.

The WIFI speed needs to be improved, sometimes it would be very slow.
