Just got back from a 2 night stay at this lovely cabin in the woods. Communication from the host was so easy and inviting. We explored the town of Waynesville at the start, knowing that lots of rain was coming. We spent a wonderful relaxing day in front of the fire, reading and wathching movies. The sound of the rain on the roof and trees was wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked so it made meal prep easy. We rent alot on VRBO and I appreciate the little things in this rental like lots of outlets, extra towels, cozy throws to curl up with, supply of firewood, extra hooks to hang jackets, and towels, etc. Wish we had more than just 2 nights to spend in this cozy home.

The location of Eagles Nest is perfect. Conveniently situated close to Waynesville, and a short drive to Blue Ridge Pkwy, Maggie Valley, and Smokey Mountain Nat'l. Park. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. The fireplace works beautifully and having the wood provided was a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed our stay in this quaint log cabin.

We use VRBO quite a bit. This was one of the best experiences we’ve had. Mr. Truant takes the extra time to make sure the experience is top notch. This will be our “go to” cabin in the Waynesville area for now on.

Adorable cabin, very convenient to downtown Waynesville. Gorgeous and clean property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was responsive. Overall, the cabin was well appointed. Beds were comfortable and fireplace worked great. Only thing missing was curtains in bathrooms and common areas of the cabin, which would be nice for privacy.

Very nice stay, cozy for two. Dog friendly and in a great location. Rustic look and feel, with stone wood fireplace.

We love Waynesville & this cabin was perfect! It is in a great location, close to so much but still feels very private! The photos of the cabin don’t do it justice! It was exactly what we needed for our family to just getaway & relax. It has everything you need and the owners definitely go the extra mile. So gracious having firewood for the stay & ready for the amazing fireplace as soon as you arrive! We loved being able to hook our Bluetooth up to the speaking throughout the cabin, that was awesome. We cannot wait to book our next trip back to this cabin, it’s all you would need and more! The scenery is so beautiful to walk the property, we even got some snow flurries while staying! We had dinner at Maggie’s Galley Seafood & Haywood Smokehouse, both were SOOO DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend! Do not hesitate in booking this cabin, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

Great little cabin in Waynesville. Easy access to the Smoky Mountains, Cherokee, and Ashville.
Everything we needed was there, way more than we expected and we were able to bring our dogs with us!

This was a great place to unplug and spend a vacation. Close enough to good local food and shops. You can get out or just stay in and enjoy the cabin and pond. You can hear the water fall from the front porch, burn pit in the yard or retreat to warm fireplace. Everyone really enjoyed the place and the host was responsive and friendly. Thanks again Bill.

We just adored the cabin, so much so we would buy it if ever we could, but we know we can't. Loved just everything about it, especially enjoying cups and more cups of coffee and having great conversations with my family rocking in the chairs on the front porch. Sometimes you just need to happily decompress. Felt like we were in a large rustic tree house.

Two weeks in Waynesville’s Eagles Nest cabin was just what we hoped for when leaving Louisiana heat. The shaded peace of heaven was delightfully cool and convenient to charming Main St. It was well equipped and charmingly appointed. A VERY positive experience…

The cabin was perfect for us. The location was great, closed enough to activities, shops and restaurants, but it felt very secluded. The owner made it very easy for us. Highly recommend next time you are in that area.

It is peaceful, secluded yet strategically close to many things. Some great restauramts and mainstreet shops. Close to Cherokee, Asheville, Brevard.

Cabin is authentically rustic, no sheetrock, all wood, beautiful countertops, gas range, large decks with lots of excellent seating, stone fireplace with ample wood supply, private and secluded location, yet minutes from shopping and restaurants in Waynesville, lush Turkish towels, specialty soaps, lotions, shampoos, books, games, extremely clean. You can hear the waterfalls on the property from the deck and there is a lovely path to explore along the small waterfalls. Communication with owner and checkin was excellent! Our stay was perfect. We would love to return and stay longer!

We found everything we expected. We felt like we were deep in the woods, but we were just minutes from shopping and great restaurants in Historic Waynesville, close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the scenic, Blue Ridge Parkway both of which we enjoyed. We would love to come back.

We visited the area for hiking and we were not deterred by the weather. It was so nice to return to this well appointed, nicely decorated home. We lit a fire and watched a movie, so cozy! The location is outstanding! Waynesville is a cute town with good restaurants and stores and this home is only minutes away. Overall, I would recommend this property:)

The cabin was perfect! Clean and spacious cabin with beautiful views. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The bottle of wine was so thoughtful and appreciated. Very convenient to Waynesville with several great options for food; we appreciated the recommendations. The host was very easy to communicate with and gave very detailed directions for check-in/out.

The cabin is a storybook log cabin hidden in the trees on the side of the Smokey Mountains. It has a beautiful stone fireplace & great covered porch. Waynesville is a charming town with friendly people & fun shops/restaurants. The Blue Ridge Parkway has fabulous views & Asheville w/Biltmore Estate is nearby. Bill was a great host.

My wife and I with our two dogs spent a few days at 'The Nest' as we made our way back to the north after our winter hiatus. We found the cabin to be just what we needed and expected nestled in the woods.
Large enough to easily move around inside and wrapped by a great covered deck, we enjoyed it very much.
The proximity to Waynesville was perfect as well as to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smokey Mountain Park and surrounding areas. If you are traveling with your pup, it will be hard to find a more welcome town for owners and their dogs.
The only caution is the ascent / decent of the driveway. It is steep. It is paved however if there is a freeze caution is merited.
We would stay here again if our travels brought us through that is for sure.

Bill was terrific! I got married at Laurel Ridge Country Club and needed to book accommodations for my marriage officiant and his family. The location was absolutely perfect, minutes from the country club! Bill was extremely responsive to all my questions, the accommodation was pet friendly and he accommodated my early check in request for the family! It was wonderful to have one less "stress" as I prepared for my big day. Highly recommend! Thank you Bill!

The property is just as advertised. We enjoyed the food suggestions. The town of Waynesville is so close. Hiking trails are very near by vehicle. Our german shepherd stayed with us and there was plenty of room for his huge crate and no worries when letting him out, as we were off the road with a gated entrance. This place has everything we wanted with lots of extras if we needed them.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cabin on Eagles Nest. The check-in process and the cabin particulars were explained very clearly. Bill is fast to respond to correspondence and is a pleasure to deal with. We would not hesitate to rent this cabin again and would recommend it to others.

We have stayed with Bobbi & Bill many times over several years. The Cabin is always ready to welcome us and although their might be a change of furniture or linens, the view and warmth is solidly the same.
Thanks Trufants!!!

Excellent property, very close to town but far enough away to be remote and peaceful. Cabin had everything you’d need for a great stay.

The property has held up well and has been nicely maintained and kept up since my last visit in 2014. There is a new gas stove, updated bath in MBR, and a security system, including more smoke detectors. The cabin was clean and we took full advantage of amenities: Weber Grill, fireplace, music system. The leather couches were comfortable and it was a great place to catch up on reading, walk the beautiful grounds, and see some sights in Waynesville and Asheville. I will definitely plan to return in 2023!
