We spent 3 nights at the Hacienda, we loved the unique style and modern features. The rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable and great shower. The staff was very sweet and friendly and the value for price is great too. perfect location for a get away way from the city center and away from the crowds, quiet, comfortable and relaxing.
The location is a little far off from typical tourist hot spots (about 30 minutes ride with Uber to Roma Norte or the city center) but close if you wanna go to Coyoacan and the Frida Kahlo Museum or see a soccer game at the stadium.
The breakfast that is included doesn’t offer much other than pastries, coffee/tea, Jogurt and some fruits, but you can pay for additional items on their menu.
We put the DND sign on the door both days, but our room got cleaned anyways and towels that weren’t on the floor got replaced too even though we didn’t ask for it. maybe worth a reminder to the staff if that bothers you.

Breakfast was good, quality, but very little to select from.
Noise in the night, the shower was not working properly, the hot water was not so hot. The room was rather cold. There was a strange closet `hanging` between the upper floor and the low level and made a noise everytime i moved in the room. There was some noise in the night.

Hacienda Peña Pobre is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing space close to many attractions in the area, but at the same time it is like an oasis of a provincial vibe with all the modern amenities and comforts.
Staff is wonderfully courteous and attentive. Mara, I hope I remember correctly was such a great host. They thrive to make you feel welcome.
Amazing cook! I wish I remembered her name!
Shower water pressure is amazing.
The building and the property is graciously planned and decorated.
Although the water pressure was wonderful, it took a while to regulate the temperature, but that was a just small detail.

The staff were great! The Hacienda was beautiful. The room was very large and comfortable.
The smoking area was outside our room, so there was quite a bit of noise from time to time from smokers. Also, when we checked in, one of the rules stated silence after 10:00 pm. It was not enforced. There was a loud child in the hallway and no one tried to quiet it down. No ventilation. No screens on the windows. It was very stuffy and pretty much impossible to sleep, Even a fan would have helped with outside noise and ventilation. And, neither toilet in both bathrooms flushed. We had to take the lid off of the back and reach in to pull the plug up. We did not ask for another room because they were sold out, so we just dealt with it.

The staff was GREAT!!!
no A/C and it was hot in the room and I live in AZ.. The fan they provided didn't function cause it just blew hot air, water was added to the unit but it leaked.

beautiful property, immaculately clean, retreat-like
the rooms did get warm at night, our room didn't have a view

Beautiful little boutique hotel. Great staff, garden and terrace breakfast.
The room was too warm. Only a small fan in the closet available. There were french doors, but no way to securely open them for circulation in our first floor room and still be safe from someone entering the room.
We also had a small ant problem in the room and bathroom. Our fruit on the desk was "discovered", but wasn't a big issue.
