Very friendly and helpful staff! Very good breakfast, small but clean rooms. Perfect location, central and calm. Everything was perfect. 1A+++ Thanks!

There is so much to like about Hotel La Boheme! The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. The breakfast was delicious and my bed was very comfortable. The location was central, and while I did take a tram a couple of times (there's a stop outside the hotel door), most places of interest to me (eg the museums, Vondelpark, canal tours) were within walking distance of the hotel. And then of course there is the delightful hotel cat, Jackie (my apologies to the cat if I have misspelt this name 🙂!) who is around most of the time and offered guests company while they enjoyed their free tea/coffee and a chat with staff/other guests at various times of day.
Unfortunately, on occasion, there was noisy laughter and chatting from a space outside at a level that disturbed my sleep - though the noise tended to quieten down by midnight. Sound-proofing isn't great and the stairs down to the garden level rooms are very steep (the latter was not a problem for me but might be for some). The shared bathroom facilities for the single rooms are very small but they work! On one of the days I was there, there was a problem with heating the water and we had cold showers. These things happen sometimes. The positives far outweighed the negatives, and the staff willingness to help in whatever way they could counted for so much.

All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They got me into my room early so that I could rest from a very long day of travel.
No a/c and not much closet space.

the location was excellent, a short walk to both old town and
no the museum district. the staff were friendly and the reception area had a comfortable homey café where coffees, snacks and wine/beer are served. check in/out was easy.
unfortunately we had a room on their 4th floor and there is no elevator, so lugging our suitcases up 70 or so stairs was unpleasant, and if you are at all unfit or otherwise compromised, make sure you don’t stay on an upper level. the room was extremely small with a slanted attic roof, so it was not possible to sit up and read or drink morning coffee in bed. I understand rooms can be small in Amsterdam but this was a difficult stay for 4 nights. it is on a busy street with a gram, so it wasn’t quiet.

The reception staff ( including Jacquie the cat) were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and we appreciated having tea in the reception area after a long day of sightseeing.
We were not advised ahead of time that there is no elevator. I am a 76 year old woman who found it very difficult to get my suitcase up 4 flights. No help from staff. Other hotels in Amsterdam offer this service. I would have requested a lower floor room or stayed elsewhere if I had known.

Great location, the people working there are very welcoming and available, the place is very clear even with a cat living there, the shared toilets and showers are very clean. The breakfast has different options and you can get tea and coffee anytime during the day. The room I was in was a little noisy because there were some people hanging out until late in a near building, but other than that it was very quite and pleasant.

The triple occupancy room was perfect for us. We had 3 single beds! Not easy to find 3 beds in one room in most European cities. The hotel layout is not for everyone, especially those with knee problems. Stairways are steep but it added to the appeal of the hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but it’s typical of European hotels. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet was good! We didn’t get to see their hotel cat so maybe we have to stay here again next time we’re in Amsterdam!
Nothing. Everything was good!

Great placement and very friendly personnel.
The hotel doesn’t count with a lift and the stairs are very steep. it was quite a challenge, specially as we carried the luggage up and down. This can be really dangerous and ruin the vacation if an accident happens.

staff very helpful. The staff saw my husband was struggling with the stairs to the room we were initially assigned and moved us to a room with minimum stairs. Very friendly atmosphere and fabulous location close to museums, canal cruises and a short walk to most other attractions

The room were cosy, the staff was very hepful and very nice. We felt very comfortable and welcome there. We will definitely recommend the hotel for our friends and hopefully we can stay there next time, if it is not booked. The location was just perfect, just in the center, there were plenty of shops and restaurants around, but there was no noise from the street, just right street, tram stop was in front of the hotel but you can easily walk around and get the best from Amsterdam. A nice big park was less then 10 min walk.

The staff were amazingly welcoming and helpful and the location was great.
Our room was on the top floor which was a climb but that's Amsterdam I guess!

Lovely quiet room.
Local to Rijksmuseum and centre.
Well connected to airport by regular fast bus, and to centre via trams.

This hotel had a nice homey feel. All of the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms were small, but that was expected. The lobby was welcoming and a nice place to hang out. Location near museums excellent! Beds were quite comfortable.
Stairs are very steep and a bit difficult to navigate the curves, especially when carrying suitcase. Bathroom very tiny but adequate. We could not use the fan in the room because some bad smell wafted out, but windows would open to let fresh air in.

Great reception staff, very friendly and informative. Loved the complimentary fresh bakes / coffee machine and the small seating area in the reception.
Great value for money and very central location.
Nothing really, apart from having to climb 3 steep staircases when you're trying to keep your balances right after a night out.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a great value and in a perfect location to walk to many different attractions in about 10-15 minutes. We were also close to public transit if we needed it, but we chose to walk since everything was so close. We had the double room with a private bathroom which was everything my wife and I needed for our luggage for our trip.
Not a major issue, but a fair warning. There are many steps in the hotel if you’re on a high floor with no elevator, so taking luggage and bags up the stairs can be difficult. The staff offered to help us if we needed it though but it wasn’t an issue for us.

super cool staff! very welcoming and helpful guys. nice centerish location, close to main museums (make sure you buy tickets in advance), clean room
I don’t know if it’s good value for money, in my opinion a bit overpriced but hotels in Amsterdam I guess aren’t cheap in general
steep stairs to climb to the room
