Amazing view, great location, but not clean.

Amazing views and great location.

The apartment was quite dirty when we arrived and had very clearly not been vacuumed *at all*. On arrival, the whole apartment floor was heavily covered in a truly incredible number of long black hairs all over the floor, and crumbs under the dining table which was pretty grim. There were also unclean glasses that had not been washed. I spent 20 mins vacuuming myself before seeing the same in the bathroom, at which point I gave up as it meant the meant the bathroom hadn't been cleaned either. I then called the owner to come and sort it out. To be fair the owner kindly arranged a '2nd' clean very quickly after arrival, but overall it wasn't very nice at all and much worse than much cheaper apartments I've stayed in. It gave the apartment quite a dirty feeling, and was not a great start. In addition: - the wine/champagne, fruits and water that should have been there (according to the booking.com info) were all missing and never received. - the bedsheets and duvet were way too small for the beds. So the sheet kept pinging off, and the small duvet meant a large bed was pointless. - there was also a damaged mains socket in the smaller bedroom, a broken loose safe in the master bedroom, and quite a lot of scuff marks over the walls. Communication with the owner was a little, well, odd ... to say the least. I received a number of fairly weird and strangely insulting messages (for example see owner's reply below) trying to convince me that I'm both: - unreasonable for expecting a vacuumed apartment & clean bathroom after paying over 1200 EUR - a very mean person, as her cleaner has an unfortunate skin condition You're basically paying extra for the location and view (which admittedly are very good though!!). But given the whole experience - especially with the owner's strange messages - I can't recommend a stay unfortunately.

Great apartment in a great location, in a very central city of split, in a great country of Croatia! we had a great tim

Great location, and clean and pleasant

No elevator, this is a walk up. Also, only one bathroom, but it is nicely appointed with great shower pressure and we loved the heated floor.

Building is old so we were a bit skeptical at first, but once in the room, wow!

The location is great, and the room was top class. Also there were a lot of helpful amenities e.g. ice trays, drying racks, washing powder, coffee machine etc.

The shower floor was a little slippery. The entrance into the building is very dark at night with no light. Unfortuneltyy no microwave oven.

Excellent place to stay in Split

Perfect location - everything you need to see and experience in Split was nearby. Lovely view. Supermarket was right next door.

Only cleanliness could be better, but the rest was superb. And there is no need to book the breakfast in advance, cause we eat the same breakfast every day. We could not change any ingredient:( Even it was very good breakfast, but every day the same was to much... And there is plenty restaurant and bars around where you can have breakfast:)

Beautiful Royal Blue apartment stay, Split

Beautiful property in excellent location. Great facilities and the host meet all our needs. A wonderful stay.

Parking in the area is very expensive but that doesn’t have anything to do with the property.

Exceptional Location- Minor Adjustments for 10/10 Stay

Location was superb! Close to meeting points of our tours. Restaurants nearby, grocery store on the first floor, and the view from the living room is gorgeous! Check in was easy with Antonia.

A few details could be improved such as making sure essentials were provided. We only had 1.25 rolls of toilet paper, there were empty alcohol bottles under the sink from a previous stay, ironing board cluttered behind door of main room, no hand soap in the kitchen nor kitchen towels. There was copy paper taped to the wall next to the toilet. Additionally, cluttered display of flyers and restaurants stuffed in a receptacle on the wall. Maybe a binder with everything organized? Overall, the price was mainly for the view and location, not the amenities. Noise from downstairs audible from the room.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in a great area

The apartment was stunning, it was in a really good location and had a lovely views. The beds and sofa were very comfortable - would love those at home! I wished we could have stayed longer

Superb

We loved our stay! Location was great although a bit noisy at night as a take out beer bar was downstairs and the locals liked to congregate across the street late into the night.

No on-site parking. Public parking is hard to find close to property. Could use a microwave oven. A nice touch would be a booklet with useful information like contact info, recommended restaurants/coffee bars, top things to do, etc.

Wonderful location

The property was well kept in the apartment. The location can’t be beat! Walk to the action in Split. Great views but so hot outside we couldn’t open any of the shutters.

One of the rooms didn’t have air conditioning and it made it hard to sleep. We finally got them to bring a fan for the 3rd night.

Superb

Great location. You can go anywhere main attractions within 10 minutes by walk. If you want to enjoy Diocletian's Palace or high street, it must be best place. And interior is really good, kitchen is well equipped, room is entirely very clean. Air conditioner is well working. The accommodation fee includes breakfast, which is served at the restaurant next to the building. It was pretty convenient.

No elevator. Some guests who have big luggage might be hard.

Best location!

This place was absolutely amazing! My sister got married in Split on June 9th so we had about 30 family members from the US come up and stay in the area. Everybody was jealous of this location because it is steps away from the Riva snd right on the water. Most everyone else’s places where back up hills and lots more steps. The view is phenomenal and the apartment was super clean and spacious. You have a nice kitchen (with washing machine, fridge, dishwasher etc.) 2 nice bedrooms with master opening up to your own balcony that I would have my coffee on every morning and watch the sunrise. You have a small grocery store right underneath you which is super convenient. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the best location in Split. Daniela the host was also super sweet snd amazing! She waited for us to get there after some delays, and gave us some amazing recommendations.

I loved everything except there is a bit more stairs then anticipated, but you get used to it after a while and it’s worth it for that view. Overall one of my favorite trips I’ve ever been on. Highly recommend taking the longer Tuk Tuk tour to see so the historical sites snd beaches in 3 years, and hiking up Marjan Forest steps to have breakfast at the cafe up top.

The location is super central, literally everything you need is within walking distance. The host Daniela was superb, very hospitable, knowledgable and enthusiastic! Great asset and start to our break. Thanks for a great stay!
