Comfortable stay at Ethos hotel Oxford

Very nice and comfortable rooms with separate bath and shower and great amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff who mad sure you had a comfortable stay. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room which is very practical after a long day out. Breakfast good but with less choices. Location in good area and very quiet but a 15 minute walk from the high street. Free and fast Wifi in both room and restaurant.

All is great except payment for egg dishes at breakfast is not ideal and expected. Fried or scrambled eggs should be included as it is in most other 4* hotels if breakfast is included. You feel as if the hotel wants to make additional business with egg dishes which is not ideal.

Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal. Sehr gute Lage, um in Ruhe Oxford zu erkunden und zu entdecken.

Unser Zimmer war hellhörig. Der Gesang und die Gespräche aus dem Nachbarzimmer waren zu hören. Die Aussentür war nur mit Kraftaufwand und somit sehr geräuschvoll zu schließen.

A clean, comfortable and convenient base from which to explore historic Oxford or venture out for leisurely walks and ri

Walking distance to rail station and town centre with option of scenic walk through riverside meadows into the city. Close to historic Folly Bridge, which adjoins the Thames Path, the Head of the River pub, cruises and shops.

Limited range of cutlery and the microwave oven is at ankle height. No laundry facilities. Some of the accommodation is separate from the cafe area, which could be a nuisance in bad weather. Parking could be a problem. Limited offerings for Continental breakfast.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and peaceful.

I loved the location, which was not too far away from the City Center (about 15-20 minutes walking distance), with a beautiful walking pathway along the Thames. The facility is cozy and comfortable. An elevator would have been a plus. The room, although small, was airy and comfortable, with everything one needs in a room.

Not suitable for people with accessibility needs, but otherwise, very nice.

An amazing all around place to experience and stay.

The staff were amazing. It happened to be my birthday and they made it a special treat for us at the Cafe. Food is lovely. Our room was exceptional. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Samira personally showed us where to park and then to our room.

We are so glad God led us here for our Oxford Conference stay

The location is excellent for walking to Oxford University and local pubs and attractions. The hotel restaurant has OUSTANDING FOOD... the best we had while in Oxford. The staff is very friendly and professional.

quiet location. good food. clean.

in two separate buildings. group was split up. had a plumbing eruption in one room. had to move very late evening. not answering any telephone to get help. found one helpful staff. eventually. moved to another room.

Super location but not what it is made out to be on the Internet.

Super location. Walking distance from city centre and all the sites and university collages. Very friendly staff at Ethos and good breakfast facilities.

Poor ventilation in the room. Could only open one window slightly. No fan or window in the bathroom. The curtains have not been cleaned since the hotel was "built". Parking is a pain. The place is overpriced for what they offer and the pictures on the website are a little deceiving.

Great stay - would stay there again for a short visit.

The staff at the hotel were fabulous. Hotel itself is located across more than one site, initially we wondered if we were in the right place when we arrived as it did not look like the photos. Room was a great size and very warm as we visited in winter. It was an easy walk into Oxford so a good location. Carparking available if you book it - but it costs extra. The breakfast was fab, and the team in the restaurant were great, as were the reception team.

The plug in the shower was stuck but managed to unplug it eventually. No views at all the room is functional and comfortable but not somewhere you would want to spend a lot of time in.

Fab hotel in central Oxford with parking

Free parking! (Huge bonus in Oxford). Great cafe. Convenient location. Comfortable beds. Quite street. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rumours that the number of parking spaces is to be reduced to make a street garden (big mistake). Rooms very comfortable but quite 'functional'.

Lovely quite area, close to town centre, very clean room and comfortable bed. Staff were very kind and obliging, went out their way to accommodate my wife's dietary needs. we booked parking and got it.

We did not go looking for fault so did not find anything.

Ideal for an overnight stay.

Breakfast choices from the upgrade menu were good and the choices from the (included) continental breakfast were extensive.

Communal areas could do with a refresh, very marked walls and stained carpets.

Overall a good stay.

The location is good and quiet, close to the centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Had a continental breakfast included which was very basic, breakfast time was run by a single person struggling to cope. It had a feel of B&B rather than a hotel.

the location of the property was great 10 minute walk into Oxford. it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. staff on reception when we arrived were brilliant and extremely helpful. breakfast was fantastic too a great selection, and staff again were extremely helpful.

beautifully clean and immaculately presented property. celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary and arrived to the room to find a lovely bottle of wine to help us celebrate. would definitely recommend and would return again. 10minute lovely walk into town, fabulous place

Very good location

Absolutely disappointed in the breakfast. For 200 euro/night I expected fresh bread instead of pre-packed stuff. Something from the kitchen was to be paid extra.

excellent hidden gem close to everything with wonderful staff.

we had a good size room. having the cafe was an unexpected bonus. Excellent staff especially Juliana who was a star and a great asset to the hotel. Great breakfast.

Location was good. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Large and Comfortable bed

. restaurant was a cafe. Breakfast times not communicated to us but staff were accommodating once we missed breakfast on the first week day. Very loose toilet seat and broken shower were not fixed during our 3 night stay despite us reporting it immediately.
