It was centrally located without being in the ‘hub’ of noise. 2 minute walk from tram stop and a quick walk over the bridge to a gorgeous cafe serving great food

It was perfect!

This place is oversold to say the least. We booked for 4 nights in the De Prins room - a tiny room on a second floor walk-up. Good thing we’re New Yorkers and are used to walk-ups, nonetheless the steps are very small and narrow for my size 12 feet fiancé. There is no partition between the shower, sink and toilet. The tiny room is fairly clean but very spartan, reminiscent of a college dorm if one is lucky enough to have his/her own room. Check-in is really late at 2pm and no one answers if you text to check in a bit earlier. This place would be perfect for college grads whose trips are funded by their parents and are looking to party. It is in a great location. If you have the money to stay here, you’re better off staying at an Ibis or somewhere that’s not directly on the canal. P.S. we came back from dinner and noticed a strong stench in our room, probably from the sewer in the bathroom. This is not ok.

Amsterdam is my favourite city in the world to visit and I won't be looking for anywhere else to stay now that I've experienced the Decor House, absolutely fantastic. Location is perfect, beautiful room with ample space and nice kitchen and bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for everything and see you again next time.e

The location was amazing! You are right on the canal so you have a lovely view & vibe. The room was very spacious & so was the bathroom.

When we got to the apartment I noticed that the floor was very dusty especially under the bed. We received a small amount of toilet paper in bathroom so we ended up having to buy some. One of the days we didn't have hot water so we couldn't shower & we weren't able to control the room heater too. In addition the windows aren't noise proof so you can hear EVERYTHING from the street throughout the whole night. Overall its a very sweet place to stay but for the price we paid I would have expected less problems..

The location was excellent.

I know canal houses have steep stairs, but my husband had a hard time getting our suitcases up the stairs. However, we're in our early 70s so probably a younger person wouldn't have found it quite so difficult. Also, the price is really high, but after a lot of looking we decided to pay for the location.

Great location.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. In general the room was really quiet. We appreciated that they provided a fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer. They also left complimentary beverages, which was great.

We didn't see or hear from the host at all during our stay, which was generally fine but it would've been nice if he had checked in during our stay. There was also some loud construction very close to the window that started around 7:30am.
