The hotel is located in the middle of the red light district, and from there, you can easily walk to the main touristic points.
The staff is polite and friendly. The hotel is clean, a bar on the ground floor, and breakfast is served in the basement. The beds were comfy, and the shared shower and toilets were clean. The breakfast was simple but good (by the way, +1 for the coffee was so tasty!!!!!), and wifi worked in all areas.
Some points below when booking - they were not a problem for my friend or me, given we stayed just one night:
* hotel has lots of stairs, and the steps are uneven or small
* hotel is located in a party area, so there'll be lots of noise, party sounds, singing and so on
All in all, we liked our stay, and it was good value for money for a one-night stay.
No complaints, everything worked for us.

the hotel is in the red light district which was a surprise. good no frills accommodation. comfortable beds. The staff made us feel very welcomed and safe. special thanks to Mark, he looked after us very well.

Room was small but fine. There is nowhere to put your clothes so I had to use the floor which is a concern. Also, the heating pipes for the hot water were by my bed and were a little noisy and made the room quite hot. I thought the breakfast was great and set me up for the day and the coffee was also great. The location is in the center of everything. It gets a little noisy at night but that's because you are in the center.

The location that is closed to Amsterdam Central by walkin distance. The staff is nice and friendly.
The noise from outside hotel i.e. people talking all night because the hotel is located in same area as Red Light District. Plus, the noise from other guests in the hallway i.e. people talking and banging room door. The hotel is non-smoking but can still smell in the hallway and stair area.

location is in red light district but hotel is safe. overall, good with breakfast for the price we paid for.
no lift! very narrow and steep stairs as it typical in the place. no assistance with the luggages. no individual hair dryer in the room. we were advised to borrow and return the hair dryer each day as there was only one hair dryer for the entire hotel.

lovely traditional style building. Bar downstairs with excellent drinks. stairs were thin and steep but not too difficult. In red lights district so can be noisy but such an interesting view for people watching. next to canal and not far to shops. would stay again.
