I was scared about single glass window as it also had cracks too. Not safe for kids .

The location was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and there was no external noise. The wi-fi was good and a good selection of TV channels.
The lighting in the bedroom could have been better. The two lights had quite low wattage bulbs. If (like us) you like to read in bed, then brighter lights would have been useful.

Location was quiet and accessible by public transport. Furniture and bedroom were comfortable.
Some ledges a little dusty. Fan in bathroom slow to clear condensation. Could've provided a bit more tea and coffee.

There was very little to like about this place. Completely misold by the hosts and booking.com.
Avoid at all costs!
No host to meet and greet. We had requested prior to the stay a bath (which is clearly on the booking.com website as being in the room? So should have been part of the apartment anyway, we also asked for a upper floor room and I received a message from the host prior to visit saying no problem to these requests. On our arrival we were located on the ground floor in what can only be described as a basement type squat. It was dark, dingy and certainly not at all like the pictures. The dvd player listed on the specs of the room was also not there. Our son had autism and we had told him he would be able to have a bath (we only have a shower at home) which was one of the main reasons we booked this place and also could take his dvds. So following the disappointment along side the Internet that barely worked and the TV with no kids channels we had a little boy in meltdown several times a day. My husband explained to the hosts that we were in essence sold a room that was not fit for us...(I haven't got to the fact it was absolutely disgusting, smelt funny and the building was full of people using drugs, smoking inside ect) but we were told that we couldn't be moved and that the room previously agreed for us to be in on the upper floor was allocated to someone who booked after us but was staying longer so got the better room. We paid almost £115 a night for the privilege of this squat!!! The host was completely dismissive and had no empathy at all for our situation with a little boy with additional needs.
The whole place was dingy and like I've mentioned full of undesirables coming and going. The floor boards were paper thin so we could hear every movement from above us leading to very little sleep as they were in and out at all hours. You can't park outside for more than 2 hours by disk so need to move your car by 10am each morning which again was conveniently missed from the website. Nothing about this property felt safe.

The location was excellent and the facilities were very good. The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

The location next to the park was lovely and very convenient for where we needed to be each day. The square of old Victorian town houses surrounding the park clearly used be pretty grand.
The once probably beautiful period town house has been brutally and carelessly converted into flats leaving very few period features and a mass or trunking for the electrics; and awful and inappropriate PVC windows;
The place smelled off. There are significant maintenance issues: the kitchen cupboard doors did not fit properly, there was insufficient hot water in the kitchen to wash up (there were no dishwasher tablets); the walls and less obvious places in the kitchen had a greasy dirty feel; the wallpaper was coming away; the handle for the shower door came off; the pedal bin lid did not work (we fixed those as best we could); the only window in the bedroom was a small velux which we had to really wrestle with to get open and closed for ventilation.
Being in the attic we could not appreciate the outside views without standing up at the ill fitting ugly PVC windows.

it was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. very convenient for walking or driving into Douglas.
The back yard could do with tidying up - it spoils the view from the bedroom.
Some coat hooks would be useful and also a hook for a dressing gown in the bathroom.
The settee isn’t very comfortable

It felt safe as I was on my own visiting my mum in a residential home...location was great for my night at The Villa Marina...I walked into town most days.
Apartment was plenty warm enough and well kitted out.

Very clean well equipped apartment, location perfect,
Only one issue, the distance between bedroom and toilet, this is probably due to my age,

Very clean, good facilities staff very helpful.
Looking onto a dirty back yard no view at all.
We were on the ground floor we could hear movement from people above and their conversations.

Good location, walking distance to Promenade and transport
Bed was not comfortable, pillows had seen better days! Only a mirror in bathroom which made it difficult to dry hair, had to use iPad as a mirror. Did eventually ask for another mirror which they provided straight away.

Good central location, Lauren was very helpful and sorted the boiler really quickly when we lost hot water
Would have preferred a king sized bed

Excellent Value. Host was very receptive, Key available on arrival. Great overall facilities. Everything you need and close to town. Quiet also. Very good wi-fi also. Would certainly recommend to others and would happily stay again. Brilliant
5.0
Location, good heating system and hot water.
Layout of the property was not ideal, toilet at front of entrance and bedroom complete other end of apartment. Very bad damp behind bed. Poor security as door would not close itself, other tenants leaving it open.ceilings old and thin so definitely not sound proof if upstairs is occupied. Unable to wash in bathroom sink without banging head on glass shelf. Poor bedding (mattress covers)
