The location is unbeatable- just minutes to town. The rooms are spacious and all amenities are great. There were 6 of us, so having 3 bathrooms was helpful. Sauna was definitely the highlight of our stay, totally recommend!!! We really loved the well maintained grounds and the the tree house. 1000 piece puzzle was the only challenge we were not able to complete.

Nestled in Redwoods, the property has some age to it but everything is in operating order and it’s a great place for multiple adults. It’s very quiet but is in very close proximity to Mendocino. We enjoyed staying here.

We visited for a very short trip but we’re so thrilled with all the very unique and well appointed touches that this house has. It’s very evident how much care and pride has been put into it. Kids loved exploring outside and discovering the tree and play houses!

We had the best time! The house and property worked out perfectly for us. There was plenty of room for everyone and we LOVED playing bocce ball together, so much fun! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for all our meals and plenty of space for us to be in the kitchen together. The proximity to the town of Mendocino and Fort Bragg worked out well for us to go exploring in the morning, come back for lunch and then go out again after lunch. We all want to come back again next year! Bonne was also great with communication :)

If you’re looking for a magical classy beautiful property a true architectural gem preserved beautifully by the owners and well taken care of by the management company. Overwhelming setting amidst the forest and so convenient to nearby amenities. Would love to come back, Thank you so much

Huckleberry Hideaway is a large, quiet forest home with quick access to the town of Mendocino, Big River, the ocean and inland mountain bike trails. My family was very happy and comfortable during our stay. We're already considering a return visit!

Spacious well located and furnished house super close to Mendocino and surrounding areas. House was a little musty (maybe just due to weather/forested environment) and could use some updating but otherwise super comfortable and had everything we needed to cook some tasty meals. Beds were very comfy as reported in other reviews.

Three friends who have celebrated life passages got together for a girls weekend. We were happy that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The house was very comfortable and would also work will for a family get together. The house was not only comfortable, but intriguing and included many interesting artifacts. We wanted to know the story of this house and its owners. The only thing that might have improved our stay would have been access to a smart TV.

The home was absolutely perfect for our wedding weekend at Russian Gulch. I was the florist and the outdoor deck provided a wonderful place for me to work. I did have an issue with a shower head falling off in my bathroom and no repair person was sent to replace it. It would have been a quick fix. That would have made the stay perfect. I had to inconvenience one of the other couples to use their shower. Not what we had hoped for. The reason for the 4 star rating is just that we weren’t offered the benefit of the 4th room, which was locked to accommodate the use of it’s shower. The owner never did contact me with an offer of solution.

We had family coming for a "Christmas in July celebration" - adult children, teen-adult grandchildren, and a 6-year-old. All found the property very comfortable. Set in the middle of a redwood forest in a very private location, but still conveniently near town. Spacious and well kept up with an internet connection. Fascinating artwork through the house. A nice piano for those inclined to music. This wonderful property includes a treehouse and a playhouse, as well as garden bocce ball and a sauna. Of the many B&Bs we have rented, this was definitely the best. Excellent property manager; lovely owner. We highly recommend!

Both the house AND website photos need updating. While the house was comfortable and well stocked, it felt uncared for. Garden path/fountain overgrown and neglected. Found only a couple of posts where bird houses used to be. The house decor had too much of the owners personality for a rental. Really creepy masks everywhere, glad we did not have any children with us.

It was lovely. A small male deer hung around eating grass and plants. Friendly dog came by every morning to visit and mooch breakfast. Afternoons boce ball games were a great way to get a little exercise. House was very comfortable.

We had a great time at this relaxing house. Skunk train, Botanical gardens and Glass beach were all worth seeing. We went on the longer “Willits” train. House was older but very comfortable, we either cooked or tried local restaurants (all were good) and watched movies and played games when we weren’t site seeing. We will be back!!

Our family of four had an amazing time staying at the property. The house is large and very comfortable, its has an incredible collection of masks and other art that gives it a unique feel. Our kids fell in love with the garden and the treehouse. The incredible book collection and the piano made it very special. Will definitely come again!

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday milestone over the weekend. This was a perfect house for us to relax, enjoy, and celebrate in a ver quiet surroundings. House was extremely clean and the theater reminded us of our young age. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Mendocino and will stay there again during my next visit.

Our son and family live 700 miles from us. I wanted to find a place for the holiday where we could relax and enjoy our time together. This home was perfect. Great kitchen for my son and I to cook. We were a group of family and some friends coming to work at our property in Little River. Staying at the the wonderful house on Tibbens Lane afforded us the luxury of gathering for dinner after a long day of working. The kitchen was so well equipped and the dining room perfect for us to eat together. We will definitely keep this rental property in mind for the next work party!

What a wonderful, relaxing time among the redwoods. We loved our stay here. Only reason for 4 stars for check in is we prefer self check in at the rental. Had to stop to pick up keys at agency. No one was there and the keys were in a box so what's the point. Had to drop off key on way out when would prefer to just get on the road.

We loved staying at Huckleberry HideAway! The house is gorgeous, well stocked with everything we needed, the grounds are beautiful and my 3 yr. old grand daughter Loved the treehouse and the playhouse. Our only minor complaint was the WIFI was limited so my kids who are used to being able to stream all the time, couldn’t do that. For me, that was a plus!
