Outstanding price/quality ratio.
Totally unexpected spot: you really are in the nature, but the city is just around the corner, even on foot, so that you are neither prisoner of the nature nor bothered by the noise of the city.
There is even à private safe in the bedroom, which we found welcome.
Our bedroom was spacious, very clean and decorated with taste. The air conditioning was working faultlessly, which was very welcome given the heat at the time of our stay
Turned out that the difficulty of finding the place, and then of having to park our car about 150 meters away were not bothering at all. Many people complain about this point ,but as this is the only thing we could possibly criticize, and considering we have been so happy with everything else, including the super price/quality ratio, then we found the whole thing perfect. Thére was nothing we disliked!

The setting was beautiful! The hosts take pride in their upkeep of the grounds.
The location is not the greatest. It was a bi nerve wracking driving up there and we got lost. Our car couldn’t make it to the location and we had to park our car n a soccer field. But we were so appreciative that the hosts were willing to pick us up. They even drove us to the bus station for our day’s outing.

Very friendly staff, very nice garden. The room had a nice balcony.
Its hard to reach and breakfast is a bit basic. During our stay there were a lot of bugs, though that is of course no fault of the b&b.

Perfect location for a time out. Calm and away from the noisy and lively city center. The garden is marvellous. We used the jacuzzi during the two nights that we stayed there. The host is super friendly and helpful. The first night she ordered a pizza for us, suggested a very good and cheap pasta restaurant in the city center to us and one morning after breakfast, she thought me how to play Burraco, an Italian card game. I'm really satisfied with our stay, especially for the price we paid. I will definitely book this place again if I ever return to Genoa.
It is not very easy to get there. The streets are very narrow and steep. If you come by public transport, the nearest bus stop is a 10-15 min walk away through the woods, but I liked that too. The breakfast buffet was more than ok for the price but I would love to have some options like fresh bread instead of dry crackers.

Even though it was a little bit far from the city center, the surroundindings were very nice. A lot of vegetation that also helps with the heat during the night and the property has multiple leisure facilities - garden chairs, swings, an outdoor jacuzzi and a fully equipped kitchen.
The staff was very nice, welcoming and very happy to help us at any time. They also speak multiple languages which helps a lot.
110% recommend Alle Giare

Garden is amazing, above a terrace is a kiwi tree, next to it are grapes - we could eat fruits just from the trees. Our dog loves the garden -it's quite big and spacious for dog's fun. She could play while we were chilling in hot tube. Also bed is comfortable, view from the balcony is great and the whole room is spacious. We were thinking about staying there one more night. We truly love that place and come back soon
PS. We could use a kitchen to make a dinner for ourselves
Everything was perfect

The rooms were actually fine. Clean and spacious. The people running this B&B are adorable. Vey forthcoming, very laid back and helpful. They show a clear intention to make you feel at home. We have read from other comments that the place is run by 2 sisters. We had the pleasure of meeting just one (very sweet and stunningly beautiful), and - presumably, her father.
Nearby is a very good restaurant: Trattoria Detta Del Bruxaboschi. Great traditional Italian food and old fashioned service, like in the old days. Good wines. During the summer season there is a place closer to the B&B, called the Beer Garden. Total rip-off, bad food, bad wine, very expensive for what you get. The atmosphere is nice and cosy though, so you can try a beer (at the most).
One may have had some perplexities about the weird combination of colours and styles in the room, ranging from Oriental drawings to Donald Duck portraits and from soft tone to silver shiny wallpapers, but hey, one should not argue about taste.
What did catch the eye in a negative way was that the territory was not well kept. There were things lying around everywhere, the garden had long overdue maintenance and the view from our room was basically on a pile of rubbish.
The breakfast had good coffee and disappointing rolls, straight from the supermarket, packed one-by-one in cellophane. In a rural environment like this one expects something more elaborate, maybe a homemade cake or two, nothing outrageous but this was a wee bit meagre.
To top it off: the place is....genuinely unreachable by car. Even if you DO make it up the very steep, extremely narrow path (we went up with a Mini and even we were almost too wide), you will neither find decent parking space nor space to turn your car around for your "expedition" back down the hill. The owners do offer to shuttle you in their own car but do YOU want to leave your car unattended in Italy?
To sum up: here's a very nice family, seemingly trying to make ends meet by renting a few rooms and adventuring into hospitality. Nothing wrong with that. One does have to know what hospitality really means though. When, at breakfast, the lovely girl asked me how the night was and I said "fine, apart from the airconditioner, that decided to shed a huge splash of ice cold water right on my face in the middle of the night, you should have that checked", her response was "Luckily, I am not responsible for maintenance around here". Hmmm...The compound needs a thorough clean-up, better maintenance and they have to get their act together on the access and the parking. I am confident it lies within their reach.

We had a great stay at Alle Giare!! The garden is amazing, the best place to relax before we visited Genova. The garden has a good fence so our dog could walk free during our stay. The room is spacious and comfortable with airco and television. The private bathroom is apart from the room but really big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is typically italian but with great coffee. The sisters are sooo friendly and will do everything to make sure you will feel good during your stay. The road to the B&B is adventurous (good road but small and steep) but they will help you or pick you up if you feel uncomfortable.
Nothing!

The place was a little paradise (huge beautiful garden). The room was also big and cosy. The two sisters that welcomed us were super nice;
The shower was a bit blocked so water was overflowing.
You must have a car to go there but it is really really complicated to go as the roads are really narrow. If you don't want to damage your car, it is better not to go.

typical italian breakfast, lovely coffee, lovely decor, excellent customer service
the access road is quite narrow, it is in the mountains though so perfectly acceptable
