Bluebird Valley Farmhouse is handicap accessible on the ground floor with a full roll in shower , bathroom. A master bedroom with a king sized bed and closet . Large sitting room with a 60" tv adjacent. The kitchen is in the center of the house with a sun filled dining room on the south side with 180 ' views with a casual sitting area . A study with a washer and dryer are all located on the ground floor . Upstairs there are three more bedrooms with two queen sized beds and one set of twins along with another tv play room. A full bathroom . Outside the kitchen there is a gas grill with a cafe table and three chairs. On the rear deck there are two rattan chairs small table and picnic chairs .

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The house was filled with charm and personality, and stocked with everything we needed (and more!) The floor plan had the perfect mix of privacy and communal space for my group of 5 friends. Window air conditioners kept the temperature very comfortable despite the hot, muggy weather we had.
The location is beautiful--remote enough to feel private, but close to town if you need something. There's a lovely lake a short walk away, and we especially appreciated the fire pit in the backyard. We are so glad we stumbled across this place, and hope to come back next year!

We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Margaret thinks of everything! The house was immaculate upon arrival, so comfortable and tastefully done. The downstairs bedroom and bath made it so easy for me, with my mobility issues. The master bath is accessible, complete with grab bars and wide entry. A very well stocked kitchen, lovely yard and gracious host made our trip a pleasure. I am looking forward to returning with our entire family.

The house was perfect for our group of 8. I wish we had discovered it earlier. The pics didn’t do enough justice to represent how cute this property was. Margaret did a great job with the farmhouse look and feel but with updated furnishings to give the home a cozy vibe. In addition, Margaret was the best. She communicated promptly and to our surprise, left a small gift for our graduate. We’ve already recommended this property to others.

The place was absolutely charming, comfortable, and extremely well appointed for 6 adults. We attended a wedding in Lakeville and wanted to be together instead of a hotel. We cooked dinner and had breakfast together. The home has so many different places to gather and loved the artwork. Will certainly be back with girlfriends and explore antiquing in the area.

This property was everything that the previous reviews wrote and more. We enjoyed this property for a 3 day stay with our children and wives for a local wedding.

Our stay at this property was amazing!! Even though we only got to sleep there as we were in town putting a wedding together. I would most definitely recommend her house to any of my friends!!! Loved the sweet note she left and the wonderful treats!!!

This farmhouse was all we could have hoped for. We traveled to gather for a celebration of life for my Dad at nearby Camp Sloane. The location was super convenient and just the right size for our group of 2 adult families. And in hindsight the downstairs handicap accessible bedroom/living area/ bathroom was perfect for my 86 year young mom. The host Margaret Jo was wonderful. The treats left in the home of breads and cookies were amazing. We originally were going to go out to dinner one night but opted to stay in - the homes kitchen is equipped for anything. And Margaret Jo enhanced our meal with the best corn and tomatoes!! So fresh and sweet! What a farmhouse treat!!

Gorgeous home
I can’t say enough good things about this property. The house was pristine and beautifully decorated. Beds and linens were so comfy.! There was plenty of space for the whole family to gather, yet also lots of unique places to have a little quiet time. Surprise bonuses included a well stocked pantry, backyard swing and a wonderfully diverse reading library. Margaret Jo was responsive to our needs and really goes out of her way to make the renter feel at home. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful rental
We really enjoyed ourselves. The property itself is beautiful and beautifully decorated. It's clear someone loves this place. We had two kids to run around and wear out, and there's ample room for soccer or frisbee. The kitchen is unusually well appointed. I cook, so I sometimes bring my own stuff, and I didn't need any of what i brought. Margaret was very friendly and communicative. We would rent again in a heartbeat.

Early Spring Stay
This is our second stay at his property. It is still hands down the most thoughtfully appointed rental property I have stayed at - there were even rapid covid tests in the bathroom cupboard! The owner is a delight and again we were greeted with fresh flowers, local biscuits and wine. We were in the area for a family funeral and knowing that everything would be perfect at the house was a great comfort. Would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the warm weather activities.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Stay
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at the Bluebird Valley farmhouse. The host is incredibly communicative and anticipates every need of her guests. The property is clean, extremely well organized, tastefully decorated, and truly exceeded all of our expectations. An added plus for us on this trip was the accessible ramp which had been treated with ice melt - just in case. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need (and I mean everything - we like to cook and travel with our own knives but they were not needed here!). The thoughtful host left us a bottle of wine and locally made biscuits. I brought a flower arrangement with us for Thanksgiving dinner but there was no need, as a fresh flower arrangement awaited us on the dining room table, as well as other florals in other areas of the house. My only regret is that the visit was so short but we are hoping to return again to enjoy a different season at this lovely property.

Perfect setting
We loved everything about this charming property! The location was perfect, walking distance to the darling town of Millerton and in a gorgeous setting by the lake. The house is immaculate, so clean, and beautifully decorated. I especially loved all the interesting artwork throughout the house. Margaret is great, super responsive and hospitable. The locally made biscuits left for our arrival was such a lovely gesture.

This house is beautiful, and the views from the yard are very serene. Every room has its own heating and cooling. There are so many rooms to sit in, and the beds (the ones we used) were very comfortable. It could not have been a better experience. Thanks for having us :)
