Situated in Hood River, this charming house for £190 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. From the moment you walk into this house you will feel right at home. Redtail is located in a cozy neighborhood near the Westside Trail, neighborhood parks and Downtown Hood River is a 5-minute drive away. Enjoy the beautiful view of Mt Adams while you enjoy grilling and relaxing on the back deck. This modern house has an open floor plan with plenty of windows and light. The kitchen has a large pantry and SS refrigerator with plenty of room to prepare a gourmet meal while enjoying family and friends. Watch a movie from the comfort of the oversized comfy couch in the living room. A gas fireplace has been recently installed - one more reason to cozy up on the couch when it is cold outside. All of the bedrooms host comfortable mattresses and plenty of closet space for ease of settling in. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom and a very large walk-in closet. There are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and one with a full-sized bed providing sleeping quarters for up to six people. There is also a sleeper sofa in the Den with a full bathroom across the hall. The Columbia River Gorge, with its mountains and rivers, offers the vacationer and recreation enthusiast the opportunity to windsurf, kiteboard, Stand UP Paddle, mountain bike, kayak, golf, ski, hike, fish, or just relax in the unhurried pace of a natural paradise. Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and many restaurants. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available and varies by season. Hood River also offers award winning Vineyards, Breweries and Distilleries. The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.

We had a lovely time and the house was a great base for our adventures. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and pans. The house was well taken care of clean. We enjoyed staying there.

Redtail Hood River

Redtail Hood River

A comfortable, well laid out, and maintained house. The LR needs more seating furniture around the TV. The kitchen was well-furnished and comfortable for serious cooking (much better than most high-end STR which we have booked). Internet and TV worked perfectly. House is well insulated, so that outside noise was barely heard inside. The single AC system had the capacity to cool the entire house, even during the record heat we experienced, but the single thermostat downstairs required continual adjustment of forced air vents downstairs, to maintain reasonable upstairs bedroom temperatures. No views remain. A pleasant view of Mt. Adams from the Redtail back deck was completely blocked by a neighbor's installation of an ~10' high screen extending above the existing fence early in our stay.
