About this house rental
The Historic Old Town Homestead at Stay Old Town Road -Historic adobe home built in the late 1800's -BEST location! Walk to shops, dining, museums, and more -Grassy park w/ play structure across the street -5 min drive to Downtown/zoo/aquarium/botanic garden/freeway -Gated, off-street parking This house sleeps 5 people. I would not, however, recommend it for five adults. Please take a look at the photos and floor plan and consider your group dynamics before considering booking for 5 people. We want you to have a comfortable stay. This home is on a property with three other homes. You'll have The Homestead all to yourself, along with it's patio and small yard. You'll also have access to the shared guest amenities around the property including parking, and seating areas. We live in Albuquerque and are frequently working to maintain our 4 rentals, so you may spot me or my husband on the property during your stay. We're happy to help you with any questions or concerns. But we won't bother you beyond a friendly wave or a quick "hello." The BEST neighborhood to get a taste of Albuquerque food and culture- mostly within walking distance! It is a quiet, residential area that both visitors and locals love for the historic charm and convenient location. The Homestead is one of four houses at Stay Old Town Road. You'll have the entire house to yourself, as well as the patio and the small courtyard off the second bedroom. Beyond just the house you're renting, you'll see our collective approach to hospitality as you explore the grounds. In addition to each of the houses private patios, we've designed communal seating areas where you can gather with friends or meet other guests. The four casitas that comprise our collection of boutique vacation rentals at Stay Old Town Road are some of the oldest original homes still standing in Albuquerque, with the first built in the late 1800's. The adobe (earth brick) constructed homes were built by the Cervantes family, who farmed the land nearby. The best thing about this stay is that it's in walking distance of so many great places- restaurants, shops, museums, and more. Plus, it's a 5 minute drive to the freeway- a day trip to Santa Fe is about an hour drive from the house.

Owner was very nice. Clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Well placed instructions for any thing you might need or use and a list of nearby places for dining, entertainment, etc... Great location. Across the street to a dog park (we had four dogs) and a short walk to the historic center and nearby museums. We will definitely be staying there again.

The photos give an accurate representation of the property. The half-wall between the kitchen and the living area is made of authentic adobe bricks (i.e., bricks handmade of mud and straw). The owners have lovingly restored the casitas on this property and kept what they could of the original construction. Check-in is easy and the owners quickly respond to messages. Located on the edge of Tigeux Park, the location is perfect for visiting Old Town ABQ, the Sawmill area, the Albuquerque Museum, the Children's Museum, and the Natural History Museum. All are located around the park and within easy walking distance of the house. The park has an expansive children's playground, a parcourse, a basketball court, lovely mature trees, and plenty of space to walk your pup. Poop bag dispensers and receptacles encourage responsible clean-up.

This is a beautifully renovated adobe, classical Albuquerque home located within easy walking distance of Old Town, Museums and great restaurants. For family or 2 couples it has 2 private bedrooms at the far ends of the home with very nice private baths.

I am a well-travelled vrbo renter and this property is one of my favorites so far. Fully accurate description of the property, amenities, location and resources nearby. Great owner communication from reservation through check-out and everything in-between. Historic and comfortable. Quaint and up to date. Close to so many cool places within walking distance. Thank you Katelyn & Daniel!

There of us really liked this clean, inviting, charming, comfirtable, and very well located casita in the historic part of Albuquerque. The front porch was delightful for morning coffee. Have to say our host Katelyn was exceptional. She checkied in with us after our first night to make sure everything was ok, gave restaurant suggestions, etc. Would love to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. I had questions before booking, and the owners were friendly and welcoming from the start. I don’t think the photos do justice to how sweet this place is. It really does feel like you’re staying at your Grandma’s house. It is right across the street from a beautiful park, and it’s an easy walk to old town. This was a nice home base for us to visit family.

The location, property, host - everything was great! It’s such a cute house with all the comforts one could ask for - and the best was the proximity to old town! Will definitely stay here again. You feel like you’re staying in someone’s house and not a staged apt. Thanks Katelyn!

Oozing with charm! The ambiance of this casita was exactly what we were looking for with our stay at this property. The decorations and furnishings were colorful and comfortable. The interior space is well thought out and the owners provided lots of little extras to make your stay perfect. The location was fantastic and easy to access. Short walk to Old Town, museums, and restaurants. We had one very minor issue with a shower head and the owner was very easy to communicate with, quick with their response and resolved the issue within a few hours. I would definitely stay here again and enjoy everything Albuquerque has to offer!

This is a return visit, and we brought friends this time. Current owners have kept the wonderful charm of this place, and even added a bit more functionality to this beautiful historic abobe. Owners are wonderful, and it's such a bonus this is pet-friendly!

Katelyn really thoughtfully decorated this home and it’s such a beautiful Southwestern style place to stay. She was super helpful and responsive and her check in and check out instructions were really easy! My group was 3 friends and we were very comfortable. It’s right across from a cute park with children playing and there’s lots of comfortable places to sit outside on the property too. We were really pleased with how lovely everything was. Thanks so much!!

Great little property close to all the right places. My wife is very picky about clean houses and specifically floors and she was amazed by how well this house was maintained.
