We liked the hotel. Well located, old charm and small. We were lucky to have a suite on a quiet street! Pools not really pools! None of the 3 is suitable for swimming. Disappointed! Clean. Immaculate beds with nice pillows and cases.

For an older hotel it's pretty nice. It would be suitble if you had a small family and wanted to hang around Puerto Vallarta for a week or so.

The place was ok for a very short stay. Our first room had no windows! We booked 3 weeks. Not like shown online. Don’t take your shoes off in the room. Your feet will be sticky black, but maids will tell you they wash the floors daily.😂 We stayed in two rooms and each room floor was filthy. We had them wash the floors, and then was slightly better. They don’t give you fresh dishcloths for washing dishes. They are dirty they told me they don’t wash them ever. I asked them to wash the cloths and please give me a new one, and the maids had a fit. Eduardo also had a fit and was rude to us about it! He is not very nice or accommodating. If you don’t book with agent, hotel treats you like crap. Lesson learned. Rosalio is the nicest, most reasonable. There is a washing machine that you can use, and Eduardo lied to me and said “no there isn’t”, and that I had to pay full Price. Everyone else told us it was free to use at my discretion. He cheated me $40! He was on the side of his disgruntled and lazy maids. We were put on the floor you walked two floors up. The younger maid on our was rude and always scowling at us. She would never say hello or smile: Because we asked her to do their job? We tipped very well every single day even in spite of their horrid attitudes to us. Our mistake was not booking through agent where their reputation is at stake. The pools are kiddie wading pools. 12-36” deep. No hot tub. They don’t clean the toilets up there either. Always dirty.

Stayed with my family. 3 kids in total. Loved the pools upstairs and the location is perfect. Loved the feel and freedom of the kitchenette to cook. Ordered in sometimes and had room cleaned daily. Many other families stayed as well. Staff came to help set up the safe first day and called taxi for airport on our last day. Excellent experience as a first time traveller.

Property was within walking distance to the malecon, the chapel, beach and markets. Great location. Rooms are basically small apartments a bit outdated but great overall.

Suites Plaza del Rio is a great property right smack in the middle of what they call Downtown Puerto Vallarta and Romantic Zone. It's a two block walk from the hotel to the Malecon. There's plenty of shopping around the place. The Suite Plaza isn't a luxuries resort. Nor is it a Motel 6. It's a great place in a great location. It's a family type property. I stayed in a two bedroom two bath suite. It has a kitchen, balcony and living room. The AC is nice and cold. The bathrooms are small. This is my second stay in this hotel. It has a pool, but I never seen or used it. Every time I've stayed, I've always felt what it would be like if it was my own apartment. Yes, that's how it feels. Your own apartment in Puerto Vallarta.

This is Vallartas best keep secret. Perfect location and gorgeous views from the pool. Cleanliness was incredible and staff were super friendly!

The location of the property is perfect for Simone wishing to explore Old Vallarta. However, the place could use major renovations. The bathroom smelled horrible due to old plumbing. We had to close the door or run water to be rid of the smell. The only AC in the suite is in the bedroom so good luck hanging out in the living room area. The only TV is in the living room so watching tv in a cool room was impossible. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Would not stay here again.

Location location location. Just two suspension bridges away from zona romantica and two blocks to el centro. Los muertos beach an easy walk. Pretty basic accommodations, but clean. You get what you pay for. Location can’t be beat.

Hotel is old that would benefit if the furniture is updated but for the right price I would rent again. Hotel has very nice location and an easy walk to main attractions in zone Romantico, Centro and Malecon

Great location for us walking is our best mode of movement in this area. Plenty of things to do and see and eat. The establishment is older but extremely spacious and is clean. We would stay again as well as refer friends and family. Good value.

Good hotel. Walking distance from everything in downtown PV. The windows are very thin though, which let through the sound of the street. Also some clients are not respectful and are quite noisy as well. Would stay there again if I wanted to come back another time.

We are a family of five, and we really enjoyed staying here. Excellent location, great roof top pool. Friendly staff. They could improve on making the morning coffee available.

Great location and staff. The roof, with swimming pools were nice. We were in a 2 bedroom, no windows to physically see outdoors. Small appliances needed cleaning. Couldn’t close one of the bathroom shower door. Needed new bed linens. Old and needed updating.

It was a nice place to stay the only thing that rooms do not have tv inside but we had the best host fernado that’s help us with everything we need with planning our day trip so ask for him if you ever stay here you will be in good hands.

My husband and I lived in PV for ten years and have always loved the traditional feel of "Old Mexico." This hotel is clean, friendly and has a great location. It's reasonably priced on a fairly quiet street (except for one rooster and some church bells) overlooking the Rio Cuale below. We look forward to returning next year. Staff is very accommodating. This isn't a high end new construction hotel stay but more of a clean basic comfortable accommodation with good WiFi and perfect for adaptable travelers looking for an authentic Mexican experience.

Elevator not working. Hard bed. Cupboard doors missing pieces. Otherwise great authentic Mexican

Staff was very friendly and hotel was clean. Centrally located so convenient to restaurants, attractions and the beach. Pool could be a little deeper. Would definitely stay there again!!

I’ve stayed in puerto Vallarta several times at different hotels and this is the one I’ll be booking everytime from now on. The rooms are huge.

Easy and pleasant check-in. We were early so they held our bags. Room was ready early..nice bonus. This was our first stay…wow! It’s so perfect, multiple pools, many sitting areas in the lobby and all throughout the hotel, beautiful surroundings, so clean, so delish breakfast, the sound of the river, the ROOM! I’m sure every room here is wonderful! Always felt safe, very short walk (2-3 blocks) to the best restaurant/shopping areas in the Romantic Zone. Will definitely stay again!
