Great room in a great location. Our host Merel was super friendly, welcoming and responsive. The property was clean and comfortable. The location in Nine Streets was perfect and there were shops and restaurants next door and all around us. We would definitely stay here if we returned to Amsterdam again.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location and space too.

Merel was amazing and communicative. She made our honeymoon extremely special and has the most adorable little pup! This is the best area to stay in, in Amsterdam. Tons of shopping and amazing cafes and bars. Literally everything you could ever want to do is within a ten minute walk through beautiful canal streets. We will be back!

Great location and our room was so big compared to other hotels we stayed at in Europe. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a great location and we could walk everywhere. The room was large. Had a fridge, espresso machine and a small closet. No concierge but we felt well taken care of. The stairs like any place in Amsterdam were a bit steep, not bad but something to be aware of when you’re packing. The door on our studio was difficult to open.

Hotel IX is located in the heart of the city and is really handy for exploring all the main attractions.
The room itself was spacious, comfortable and the free items in the minibar were much appreciated.
The only downside was the code entry which took a bit of getting used to as they were well used, once you had the knack it was no big deal.

Hotel IX was a great place to stay when we visited Amsterdam. It's in a great part of town with lots of places to visit nearby. The only suggestion I would make is to avoid booking a room on the street. While the street is relatively quiet at night, the windows are thin so you can hear everyone talking as they pass. The rooms in the back are very nice and you won't hear the street!

This was by far the best hotel experience I've had in Amsterdam. Susan is a more than friendly person, and helps wherever she can. This small boutique hotel/apartment is also on the 9 streets where you can find lot's of small boutiques, shops and restaurants. The rooms are HUUUGGEE compared to other city hotels. Highly recommended.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the best part of Amsterdam. Our suite was lovely and extremely comfortable. Fabulous bathroom, great bed and fridge stocked with complimentary water, soda, beer and wine. There is also a Nespresso for enjoying coffee in the morning. Susan and Merel are wonderful hosts who really pay attention to the smallest details, and are very accommodating. Highly recommend this little gem!

Our stay was exceptional! The apartment is unbelievably charming & the location is excellent! Great restaurants, boutiques, & a wonderful natural foods market nearby! Location is also walking distance from the train station!

A lively boutique hotel with super comfortable beds. The hosts were fantastic and super helpful whenever we needed anything and the location is perfect. Close enough to the fun stuff, but in the quieter Jordaan district which was beautiful.
I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!!

Nice location in a quiet street, a few minutes walk from Dam Square. Nice apartment and "free" minibar. Clean and pretty apartment that seemed newly renovated. Very nice and attentive staff. The place can be recommended

Beautiful clean and simple space. Was ideal for my business trip and I arrived late and left early but would also recommend for couples / leisure.

Hotel IX is phenomenal! Every aspect of the suite I stayed in was beautiful, the owners, Merel and Susan could not have been more helpful. It was peaceful, comfortable and a haven in an amazing neighbourhood. I’d definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed at Hotel IX and had the most wonderful experience! The room was very clean and well equipped with everything we would need for a pleasant stay- they even left a bottle of rose for us (our favorite!). The location is within walking distance to many restaurants, museums, shopping, and GVB tram stops! We would stay here again and would recommend it to our family and friends who travel to AMS. Thank you Hotel IX for a lovely stay!

The answer is YES, what is the question seems to be the motto. They are wonderful hosts with exceptional rooms. Coffee, beer, soda, water and a bottle of wine all provided free! Comfortable beds, modern clean bathrooms. What more do you want or need?

Nice apartment, well located, not sure Id pay €250 Euros again for it as its not a hotel. Its quirky and cool though. The only negative I have to mention is I was located on the 2nd floor and could hear every footstep of the room above, creaking floorboards. Need an ironing board in the room, the lady looking after it is really helpful, but not there all the time and obviously when you need to iron a shirt and have 10 minutes to get out of the door.

This hotel was great! The bed was so comfortable which felt amazing after a lot of walking through out the day. Its beautifully decorated and very clean its in the best location as well we absolutely loved it!

The hotel is located in the 9 streets area of the city which is packed full of boutique shops and excellent places to eat. It is only a short walk from all the main attractions but benefits from being in a quieter area. The hotel was really easy to find and we were really happy with our room on the first floor. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were a little cold in the room but were able to adjust the thermostat accordingly. We met Merel a couple of times and she was warm and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her. Across the road from the hotel is a Japanese restaurant called Kagetsu which I would really recommend for dinner. A couple of doors down is Screaming Beans which we went in for breakfast everyday (recommend their cheese and ham croissant!). Overall we loved this hotel and loved Amsterdam!

A chic cosy hotel near the canal. Perfect location! Such a great stay, can't fault this hotel one bit!

Great location. Quiet. The most comfortable bed ever. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Just off the main thoroughfare but easy enough to find. This small boutique hotel (2/3 rooms in total) is lovely, clean, modern, mini bar free, lovely walk in shower, flat screen TV, modern decor whilst maintaining the age of the typical Dutch building. Far nicer than any of these large hotel chains. The keyless entry via touch pad can be a little fiddly, especially if you forgot your glasses or a little drunk!

Great location in the nine-street shopping district of Amsterdam. Close enough to walk to all of the sites, but far enough away from the loud bar scene. Very clean room with helpful staff. Only negative is no elevator, but that didn't bother us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel XI. Susan was wonderful and answered all my emails immediately. Would stay again!

First of all, Merel and Susan are great hosts. Communication was timely and complete, leaving us no worries about our arrival and our stay. We met Merel upon arrival and she accommodated all of our needs and answered our questions. You won't find better hosts.
The location is very good - everything is easy to get to from here, although many of the shops in the 9 Streets district close early. It is a safe area night and day. The cafe next door has excellent coffee/espresso drinks and some breakfast items. There is a market 3 blocks away so we brought food into our room for breakfast and late dinners.
The place itself is great. It is modern with nice amenities such as free wi-fi and free minibar items. Most importantly, the room was clean. The bed is comfortable and the size of our suite (Reestraat) was very spacious. The living area faces the street, which is not very noisy at night. The shower and toilet in this suite are in the middle of the living area and the bedroom. (Note: The shower area is enclosed in glass so there is no privacy, and the main sink is inside the glass enclosure. There is also a small sink inside the toilet room)
I highly recommend staying here and I'd definitely stay here again. Five stars for Hotel IX are well-deserved.
The only downside was that we had two heavy pieces of luggage and there are no elevators. Reestraat Suite is at the top level (3 flights of narrow stairs). There are no street level rooms, but no problem for us. Totally worth the w
