Let's start with some level setting....There is no such thing as a world class resort in Ocean City. The Americana gives you exactly what you want - access to the beach, views, and a balcony to hang out it. The rooms are on par with everywhere else in OC, and I would say they are cleaner than two other places I've stayed there. I have no complaints about the stay and the price is reasonable. Location is great.

For $300 a night, don't waste your money. Elevator was a little slow, took off like a rocket going up, feels like the bottom falling out on the way down, then when you get to the floor, it takes 30 seconds or more to stop. Get in the room. The bathroom fan and the phone were not working. Went to the desk to let them know and the guy working behind the desk asked me if I tried all the switches. There are only two and I said yes, both switches were on and no fan. Then he asked me again if I tried all the switches and I again said that I just told you I did. Then I told him the phone doesn't even have instructions on how to call the desk or room to room. He then asked me if we turned all the switches on in the bathroom. I almost lost control, but I didn't. I just gave him the your an idiot look and asked to have the issues fixed. We came back, the fan worked and they put a new phone in the room, still no instructions. The shower insert was old but the room and doors were freshly painted. There were two drawers for clothes. The rack was across from the microwave counter. I hung my coat on it and it almost came off the wall. Also, if you hung your coat the proper way, you had maybe two feet between that and the microwave. So, you have to hang it sideways. Overall, it looked nice on the web but not worth $300 a night. I won't stay there again.

Nice hotel close to a lot of nice stuff. Park is great. Had a good time. Good hotel recommend it.

They are redoing rooms new patio doors really hot water and good pressure my daughter was in another room had a big tv ours was very small and stations went in and out but overall great deal for price and right on boardwalk

Was nice because it was right on the boardwalk. Pool wasn't in service and we weren't told until the day after we checked in. House keeping didn't come to the room unless asked, and still forgot to bring soaps. All the staff was nice, except one of the front desk ladies. She was very rude and gave false information. The hotel is one block away from another hotel that has a resturant. There's resturants about a block away. The robes the hotel provided don't fit if you weigh more than 150LBS. Don't think the room and what we got was worth the price we paid. Room could have been nicer.

The pictures compared to the hotel looked similar but the pictures look like they were touched up to appear more vibrant , brighter and colorful. it’s a “non-smoking” property but the chairs were covered in burnt ash spots. the bathtub was dirty and discolored as well as hair and stains on the bed and in the carpet.

The service at the front desk in the check-in was very easy. Just make sure before you go in to check in that you have your license plate number because they’re gonna need it for your parking pass once we got into the room we Found the room very spacious. The only thing that I can say is that the bathtubs need to be updated and there was a stain on the bedsheets, but I always bring my own bedsheets so I did not bring it to the hotel staff.
