I was extremely impressed with this stay. We arrived early around 1 pm on Sunday December 16th and they made arrangements to accomodate our early arrival. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and it was the first time that I slept like a baby away from home. The location is perfect when visiting Lake Placid in the winter as everything is within walking distance. When I first walked into the room there was light jazz music playing from the smart ipad which functions as an alarm clock and live weather monitor. The room is beautiful with wood paneling and recessed lights, plush white bedding, an incredibly modern bathroom with a very large shower, and very nice kitchenette with fridge, microwave, utensils, coffee mugs, plates, glassware, kitchen sink, sponge, and dish detergent. The TV allowed me to watch cable and every streaming site including YouTube, Netflix, and a host of others. What a great touch! This place is extremely pet-friendly as both the manager and another employee took the time to welcome my adult Belgian Malinois. The room was so big that her pet bed was able to be in the middle of the floor with ample room to walk easily around it! They also supply you with a nice rubber mat that pet-owners know is a Godsend to place food and water bowls. The 2 sweetest touches were that they supplied us with Starbucks coffee pods and Beekman soap. There is a community kitchen stocked with an oven, burner top, and pots & pans. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

The contactless checkin was good, but the wifi password was nowhere to be found. We were unable to contact anyone either. The password was not in the welcome email either as we were told. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. But don’t expect the wifi password.

Cozy and comfortable with easy access to room. My only complaint is that the heat wasn’t on when we got there and the room took 30 minutes to warm up.

Easy check in online. I have 2 recommendations. In my room #30, the air conditioner was not usable because it was so loud. The other issue was there was very loud talking after 11:00pm & it was in the spare supply room which was located next to mine. I went to bed at 10pm & could not sleep with the loud talking.

I stayed last year and loved this place. It was great, someone on site if you needed something, personable and what not. This year, no one at check in, never got an email for my door code (it was taken care of on the phone by a very sweet person) but a light was out in my room and it was a light that is needed - no one showed to fix it and the next day was told maintenance was not there. It’s not a huge deal, but when I’m paying almost $400 a night, I expect everything to be working, especially a light in an area it is needed-or at least rectified when I tell someone it isn’t working. The grounds were not as well kept this year as last either. I guess this is what happened when corporations buy out locally owned places and turn it into web based only. No one in premises - not something I personally like. But to each their own.

This is a very nice place! Very close to downtown easily walkable. The facility was under construction, and there was no one in the office so you had to catch the cleaning crew for any issues. There was a newly remodeled bathroom and bathroom sink area, which was beautifully done. But there was one light out over the sink. And that stayed out for the duration of our stay. However, that was our only challenge, and this was a great place to visit, and I would give it an excellent review.

Super expérience, the contractor on site was amazing, he was making sure we had fire wood and starting the fire for the guests every night. The instructions to enter the room were clear and easy. We had everything we needed in the room and in the kitchen area available for the guest.

We needed a hotel for 2 nights while my husband and oldest hiked Mount Marcy. Myself and my youngest were staying behind and wanted someplace close to town and with a pool. This place was perfect for our needs! Clean, large and comfortable room. Updated and cozy! The Alexa was a great tool to have in the room for weather and info. My kids loved the TV with all the apps on it to watch whatever they wanted. Short walking distance to Main Street to window shop and grab a bite. Pool was great and the heated temp made it made it so enjoyable for a relaxing dip. We will return!!

It was a nicely remodeled old style motel. Towels sheets etc new and clean. They have the nice removable comforter covers- a big deal to me. They need a big throw rug inside and a good doormat outside the door to catch debris. I could happily do without the throw rug in the room I prefer hard flooring!!

Excellent place to stay in Lake Placid! The rooms were modern and clean and the owner was present and super helpful. We had a problem with one of the door locks and it was promptly fixed! Beautiful rooms with super comfy beds!

We loved our stay at the Town House Lodge. It was affordable, comfortable, and filled our needs. The beds were absolutely comfortable! There was always hot water for a shower. I was happy to find wooden floors that appeared very clean (you never know how clean carpeting is). The outdoor pool was HEATED! Perfect for us. A little walk from the village, but not far at all. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately this is my first ever sub par review. Starting with confirmation of our booking. As requested we tried 4 separate times calling, within the scheduled time set by the proprietor with NO response. Further leaving an email also not answered. If you are still reading this you are aware how frustrating and a little scary.( Did they lose our reservation?) . Several hours before we arrived we finally were able to speak to some. In our surprise explaining this it was received with banter and non humorous comments. In my opinion NOT professional. The room was clean and spacious. Towels great on the other hand the, TV was a disaster what ever happened to a simple remote with a volume…. Lol I would suggest as a third back-up when booking Lake Placid

There wasn't a reception to check-in; it was all done via e-mail (room access code). The location is not far from the center of the town, and the place was nice and well-maintained (under renovation, some of the shared areas). The room was ok (NY city size), and you can tell it was modernized (not super spacious). On our second day, the common kitchen was closed and because of the humanless nature of the hotel none of the guests could open the door (not a big deal but we could have used some hot water for our tea)
