This cheery and cozy studio, with a beautiful flower garden, hot tub, and a peak-a-boo view of the ocean and Battery Point Lighthouse is a perfect get away spot. You can fall asleep to the sound of waves on the nearby shore. Ocean access is just a half block down the road. For one night or a full week this home has a great location with easy access to many wonderful amenities. This is a no pet, no smoking home. Because of the close proximity of our neighbors we enforce a 10:00 PM quiet time. Additionally, please do not block the driveway as this is the only way of ingress and egress for our neighbors.

We loved staying in this cottage. We were just a couple minute walk to the ocean (lighthouse) to watch the sun rise and set. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We definitely recommend this cottage!!!! Also great restaurants near by and friendly locals.

It is as described. Cozy. My only suggestion is the shower valve could be updated to a single handle valve. (Water was super hot when the toilet got flushed)

The cottage was perfect for our exploration of the Redwoods. It is small but plenty of room for two people. Breakfast at home in the morning, pack a lunch and head out the door a day of hiking in the Redwoods. Plenty of choices for dinner out or eat in!

The room was a good size and the check in was very easy. We loved being so close to the water and lighthouse. Loved my morning walks on the beach. We also lucked out and caught a beautiful sunset while up at the lighthouse. We would definitely book this property again. ☀️

Super bright LEDs installed on the garage shine into your room all night long. 1:45am looked like daytime. Texted the owner, no response. Room kind of smelled, mostly in the corner by the left side of the bed. Who knows, maybe an animal nest under the floor. That kind of smell. Not dirty, just stinky. Not many decent hotel options in Crescent City either though.

Road trip down the coast, great place for a quick stop over between Oregon and California. Very clean, laundry facilities, & hot tub! Close to the Redwoods for easy morning access. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent location, beautiful home, we had both the main home and the separate attached suite that Dave rents as well. Large group, we stayed just one night on a bike trip from Portland to San Francisco, would not hesitate to stay here again. Loved it.

Excellent stay. We were greeted with a fresh flower bouquet and bright clean cottage, easy walk to the sea. We spent a delightful 3 days here, visiting Redwoods, exploring the local lighthouse, tidepooling, biking the great local bicycle route, and discovering the history of the area (including a 1964 tsunami). The cottage was cozy and pretty, with everything we needed. Bed was comfortable with upscale linens. Kitchen is well equipped. AND a huge bonus: Glorious garden (great view from the large main window) plus a private hot tub.

Nice little spot to stay. Has a hot tub but lights on the garage and motion sensor light kinda ruins the experience and doesn't feel private. Disappointed with lack of communication between property manager. Messaged the manager about the lights to see if they could be turned off and got no response. I specifically booked this place for the hot tub and didn't even enjoy using it. Also, was told our code would work for the laundry room but it didn't so weren't able to do our laundry or start a load of towels like the checkout instructions said.

Fantastic stay! We loved this cozy little spot from the hot tub after a long day of hiking to the fireplace in the cottage. It was fantastic. It was an easy check in and check out. The property is as described in the reviews and pictures. It is small, but tastefully decorated and the owners were very kind. If you are planning a trip to the redwoods or just on your way through, it is a great little spot to stay at.

The cottage was so cozy between the hot tub and the heat from the cute little fireplace. We absolutely loved this place, walk to the ocean in minutes, many many hikes everywhere! Great central location to explore the redwoods and southern Oregon. Very clean, easy to get a hold of and ability to clean our Laundry.

We stayed here on our way up the coast. Enjoyed a nice informal dinner at a local place, Enoteca and a morning run alone Pebble Beach road which is gorgeous. The cottage is sweet and tidy. If you’re very tall and long of leg the bathroom/toilet will be a squeeze but that didn’t bother me at 5’1”. (My husband noticed it!). It was great to be by the water and hear the fog horn of the lighthouse.

I spent a week at Dave's place with my 10 year old daughter for spring break. The house was a nice home-base while we explored the Redwoods and nearby beaches. We did have a bit of a misunderstanding the first day: After dropping our stuff off we immediately went down to the beach and, on coming back, saw a ramp leading to the house. There was a sign that said residents only, but as the ramp led directly to a gate that opened to the rental, we thought the access was for renters. However, on reaching the top, we found the gate was locked. We turned around and went back down the ramp to the public access area, but were contacted immediately and told not to use the ramp. So since it wasn't clear to me (maybe it should have been), just wanted to add this for other renters - the top of the ramp is considered the neighbors' property and is intended for the neighbors only. Other than that, we had a nice time. The place was cozy, and just the right size for one or two people. We really appreciated the hot tub after our hikes!

Wonderful venue for family get together. Fully appointed with recreation room, games and open living space Birdseye view of Pt St George lighthouse and the Pacific Ocean. We rented the main house and the adjacent Cottage. 100% positive experience!!

Met the owner, Dave, who was nice and recommened some good places to eat. The room itself is well stocked with towels, blankets and kitchen amenities. Location just steps from a lighthouse is very cool - take the tour! We felt safe and secure here. The hot tub is really nice after a day of sightseeing and is very well maintained. Outdoor lighting could be improved as the path to the hot tub is a little lumpy. On a negative note - the bathroom was a little dirty with quite a few left over hairs in the tub and a dirty strainer in the drain. Also...word to the wise: if you're taller than about 5 foot 9 the toilet closet will probably be unworkeable as space is very tight in there. The room is very comfortable overall but the window blinds dont do a great job blocking morning light so sleeping in may be a challenge. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great overnight stay here. As always had issues with Vrbo app not sending the information like their emails say they will, but the owner of the property replied very fast when we reached out and we were able to get in with their instructions with no issue. Great location, right next to the lighthouses and some resturants and beach. Felt like a safe area. Inside the decor is super cute and beachy, cute litte kitchen that we did not use but looked to be decent to do a small amount of cooking. Great place.

The two of us enjoyed our week in the cottage and did fine with the studio and size of the cottage - and we don't travel light!. It's well-stocked and the hosts were very solicitous regarding our needs. It's a great location. Around the corner in either direction you can get to the beach to watch the sunset, which we did most nights. The Battery Point lighthouse is also around the block and fun to visit. The cottage is a block from the walking/bike path along the bay, the jetty, and the pier. We also loved the location because it's so close to Jedediah Smith redwood park, which IMHO is the best redwood park in Northern Cal. We ordered food from both SeaQuake Brewery and the Good Harvest Cafe and recommend both. Enjoy!
