The house is charming and elegant. The 2 bedrooms are very cozy and a great deal of attention to details was paid. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, one living room with DVD Player, decoder for the international channels and a LCD TV, one independent fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom. In the living room there is a double sofa bed. In the entrance of the apartment there is a furnished cupboard where our guests can find all necessary items for tasting Italian wine. In the cupboard you can find also many maps and itineraries of Florence and other useful information to visit Florence. The apartment has two balconies on a quiet garden area. The house is located in the historic city centre of Florence, in the historic region of 'San Frediano'. From the house you can reach by foot all the important place of the city centre of Florence (Boboli garden 400 mts, Pitti Palace 500 mts, Ponte Vecchio 900 mts away from our property). If you don't want to go walking to the town, the bus stop is at only 50 mts from the house, the bus will carry you in the Florence's medieval town in 3'. The most elegant shopping streets in Florence, with stores selling antiques, jewelry, leather, linen, groceries, pastries, are all within easy walking distance. The apartment is spacious, beds are comfortable. Our check in was very informative. Location is good…close to many good restaurants, bars for quick breakfast and good dinners. Not a bad walk to the city centre.

Accurate listing. Only knocked off a star from check in because we had some difficulties getting in but solely because my service wouldn't allow the pictures to load for self check instructions. Place was clean and looks like pictures. Great neighborhood close to a lot

We really enjoyed our stay at the property, the apartment was clean and as described. We like quieter areas and the property was close enough to museums and attractions that we could walk yet when returning from a day in Florence we left the busy area and were walking on quiet streets.

Loved the apt, very spacious, there are a couple flights of stairs, and only downside was it was a little away from things, but a quick 10-15 min walk and youre in the middle of everything. Big grocery store close by which was handy. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The apt itself was perfect. Spacious, a/cs that worked great, this vrbo had everything, esp in the kitchen! Beds were pretty comfy. Kids beds were a little a springy but not horrible. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely homely local neighbourhoid but close to everything. Lots of local wine bars, restaurants, low key venues. Very sage city!! Loved Florence. Exellent comfortable beds and large rooms. Kitchen and main bedroom overlooking courtyard. Excellent communication with host.

Once we got oriented we realized we were a 5 minute walk for Hop On Hop Off Bus. 15 minute walk to "Sabatino's" amazing restaurant. Great amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 5 star all the way

This place is in a perfect location if you want to be able to walk to everything. You stay on the more local side of the river. There were so many places to eat and drink. The place is exactly as pictured. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the description when booking. I was looking for a two bedroom two bathroom and this place only had one bathroom. The VRBO listing shows it as two bathroom. Other then that we were very happy with our stay.

We spent 6 days in the unit with four people and it was very comfotable for us. The kitchen was used every day to prepare at least one meal. There are two grocery stores within walking distance. The beds were a memory foam and were very comfortable. We were able to walk to all of the historical sites from here (about a 20 minute walk). The unit is located on a very busy road and we were concerned about road noise at night, however the locking windows were exceptional and blocked nearly all of the noise. In the mornings we could open the balcony doors in the rear of the unit and enjoy the sunshine and the garden below. One thing you should be aware of if you have a rental car is that parking is very difficult if impossible to find, and if you do find a space then you need to pay a parking fee of 18 euro per day. We did not need a car for the places we went to in Florence, but used it for trips to Venice and Cinque Terra. This worked very well for us and I would recommend it to anyone looking at it.

We spent a week in June, our first time staying in an apartment instead of a hotel while traveling in Europe, and it was a wonderful experience. This apartment was perfect for the four of us--fully equipped yet uncluttered, quiet, cool, attractively furnished, and conveniently located. We especially liked its airiness and spaciousness, lots of room to relax. Having a kitchen (mainly used for breakfast and snacks) was ideal. Allesandro was nice enough to email us to let us know of a fireworks celebration down by the river one night, so we happily went to it (something we would not have been aware of). We were delighted to have such a great vacation experience for a week, staying in a charming apartment in a lovely, convenient neighborhood. We made good use of nearby grocery stores, pharmacia, bakery, restaurants, bus stops, etc. Plus, we walked to the Pitti Palace and Bobboli Gardens, Piazza Santo Spirito, and other nearby treasures. What terrific memories! Allesandro and his family have done a great job of making this a home away from home. Highly recommended.

We rented this apartment for a little over two months, and it was perfect for us. We loved the location - the tourist areas of Florence can be very noisy at night, and we slept in quiet comfort, but were still able to walk anywhere we wanted to go in town. We had wonderful neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores, and honestly, the very best gelato we ever found in Florence just blocks away. Don't hesitate to book this place because of location - you will find that it's a lot more convenient than it might look on a map, and you won't have to fight the crowds and the noise of being right in the tourist area. The apartment is not beautiful, but it is very comfortable and has everything you'll need. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable - we slept very, very well. The internet is fast and reliable - very important for us, as we worked out of the apartment and my husband was able to skype business calls and teach his class remotely. The best part of the apartment, though, was our host. Enrico was there in a flash whenever we needed him, cheerful and helpful. He put another small table in the living area for us to use with our computers and even replaced the TV so we could use it as a monitor. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. You will get the full Florentine experience here, in a friendly, authentic neighborhood, but be able to be in the center of the tourist area in minutes. What could be better?

We arrived by taxi just as our host arrived and showed us the features of this lovely apartment. The apartment was as described and the pictures were accurate. There was good internet and the TV provided international channels that kept us informed on things happening in the world. A small market was almost across the street, and the bus stop just down the block. We had Florence Cards which are a 3 day pass that includes free bus transportation and they have some small buses that go into the fringes of the downtown, historic walking district in the center part of the city. This was most helpful and allowed us to enjoy Florence to the max. Our only complaint, was it was August and all the local restaurants were closed except the ice cream shop which had sandwiches on the way to the market across the street and on a Sunday there was no place else to eat. After that we used the kitchen for all our meals and it worked out fine. We would stay here again. Alessandro and his family were most helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Our family of four was impressed with the responsiveness of the hosts, the cleanliness of the rooms (deeply cleaned, not just on the surface), the spaciousness of each room, good WiFi and the wonderful location (coffee, bakery and grocery within a block). The beds were queen-sized and very comfortable. It was very, very hot in July so we were grateful for the air conditioners and the shutters that kept the rooms cool. Although on a busy street, we heard no street noises and slept very well. It is even nicer than the photos, with marble floors, antique wooden furniture, built-in refrigerator, clothes washer and automatic dishwasher, with detergent and other needs supplied. We were educated as to bus stops, were given a map and also several recommendations for very good neighborhood restaurants. Plus, it has only one flight of stairs to walk! We recommend this apartment and landlords whole-heartedly.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the apartment clean, quiet, and comfortable -- the photos give an exact idea. Wifi works fine... Buses and supermarkets at 5 minutes walk and it' s possible to rich the center only by walking (1/2 an hour) a GREAT neighborhood with restaurants. It's easy to park in the street and not too expensive. Only one bed has not the best comfort, in one room you hear the cars passing in the street and the temperature of the shower is not regular: very hot 2 minutes and cold and so on ....But We highly recommend this property . We stayed here for 6 weeks and loved every moment. The apartment is clean, quiet, and comfortable -- the photos here are perfectly accurate. If there is anything else you need, the owners are always at your disposal and ready to respond. Wifi works fine, washer is a huge plus, balcony overlooking garden in a wonderful extra (and you can hang your laundry to dry on the clotheslines there!) Comfortable bed, good kitchen supplies and a GREAT neighborhood. Buses within blocks, supermarkets (2) within a 5-10 minute walk (and the farther one - Esselunga -- has HOME DELIVERY - see their web site.) We Cannot recommend this property more highly. We had an excellent stay! The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed- and they provided a nice baby cot for our one year old. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked very well. The location was also very convenient. We would recommend this to our friends and family.

This apartment is the ideal place to stay for anyone wanting to be away from the crowds and mobs of tourists, but within a quick and easy walk of all of the well-known sights and treasures. The street outside may seem busy, but we want to emphasize that the well-insulated windows keep the apartment quiet. The lovely gardens in back provide a tranquil oasis in a city without much green space in the center. The apartment is roomy, peaceful, light and airy, perfectly maintained. It is well-equipped with linens, appliances, internet, kitchen goods. In the immediate neighborhood there are 2 grocery stores, a bread store, coffee bars, 2 gelaterias, trattorias, pizzerias and an interesting brew-pub. Parking is easier than it might seem, which is huge in Florence, and the location gives drivers easy access to main roads leading to surrounding towns and countryside. The owners are really pleasant, very responsive and easy to work with. We highly recommend the apartment, and hope it will be available on our next visit. We never want to stay in a hotel after having stayed here!

The flat was as advertised- clean and tastefully furnished. Stayed 7 days and enjoyed being able to get away from the crowds in central Firenze. My husband and I walked everywhere, train station and to all of the museums. There's a grocery store and playground within 2-3 blocks. The view from the small terraces off the kitchen and one of bedroom was overlooking yards which were in full bloom. The flat is located on a main street but it was quiet because of new windows in the living room and front bedroom. Had a problem operating the washer (don't read Italian) but it was taken care of quickly.Highly recommend this flat and would love to stay there again if I return to Firenze. Only con - the cost of sending the deposit via wire transfer. My bank charge was high.
