The motel was great. We had breakfast at Sujo and our waitress was was loud and more worried about a couple in the corner than any of her other tables. She was training and we heard her reprimanding another waitress right next to our table and then blaming the training for table order delay at several tables not just the fact that she was talking to that corner table the whole hour we were there. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable breakfast

I paid for valet and Valet service was never available. The parking is so far from the door. Hotel staff were very threatening. I was in a corner “King” that was like a closet facing a building with smoke coming from it. The room had a connecting door that some weird guy kept jiggling in the next room over. Just dangerous. Oh yeah no microwaves on site. No room service.

This place really needs to be updated. From the carpet to the dated furniture and ancient staff. Shower floor was dirty, stained carpet, atms were down... Staff was not very friendly and avoided eye contact. Not impressed by anything here..

We loved that we could stay in one place for the casino and food in the hotel. We will be staying here again when we travel back to KC. ♥️💛

When we were going to our room we noticed the hallway carpeting had what looked like blotches of blood stains on top of the pattern in the carpet, however it turned out to be printed into the carpet. We started referring to Ameristar as the Murder Hotel! When entering our room the carpet was dirty with spilled on yuck, we didn't have enough wash cloths and the beds did not have comforters or blankets. It was not easy to get to sleep because I couldn't get warm. I expected more for the amount of $$ we spent on the room and knowing how nice the casino hotel rooms are at other casinos in the area.

The mattresses have some sort of protective cover on them which is super noisy when you move at alll. It also is not very soft.
I like a little white noise when I sleep so I tried to turn the fan on in the ac unit it wouldn’t allow that. It would only run in auto mode. Rough nights sleep. Heard everything in the hallway

The property was average. No special service. A room with a bed. We expected a non smoking room. The room smelled of smoke so someone had smoked in the room. There was a lot of traffic pas our door and noise. Woke us up throughout the night.

Housekeeping came knocking at 8am and then again at 10:00am. Checkout isn’t until 11am. That was pretty irritating considering we had a long night. Front desk had radio time to stop knocking before checkout.

However what we didn’t like there were only two restaurants that were open, we were told on Mon, Tues the restaurants are closed that was a disappointment due to the fact we arrived into a snow storm and couldn’t really get out

The hotel part of the casino was filthy. Almost $200 for a room that was so outdated. The carpet had stains, no microwave, old boxspring mattress with exposed bottom. Second set of window sheers missing. The late night burgers in the casino that is open until 2am only had pizza to purchase and it wasn’t even midnight. And finally, the road to this casino is one of the creepiest ever. I recommend getting there in the daytime as there is hardly any light and doesn’t look maintained at all. Never again.

When I checked out of my room. I was charged $500. It took me 4 phone calls before I was told that I broke the tv, but they could not tell what about it was broken about. When we checked out the tv was working fine. I have called all day to try to talk to a supervisor, but no one will answer, much less return my call. This was a yearly trip here, but I will never step foot into their casinos again!

Complete bs to drop (a lot, they made me remove the actual hundred and twenty room rate numerically) on a room fully intending to have dinner, drinks, and gamble. We got none of the above. Didn’t know every restaurant closed at 10pm , and the guy at the taco place was a rude dicc about it at 9:45, as was the front desk “host”. So, we got no dinner, no drinks, and as a result, I kept my money in my pocket and didn’t gamble a cent. Just went back to my room and contemplated the waste of money…

Very nice. Should have a pool or hot tub. It was nice having restaurant options. Hotel parking signs need to be more visible.

We remember there being a movie theatre and arcade, a big buffet and an ice cream shop. Nothing now.

Quiet, safe, easy parking. Large bathroom with separate shower and toilet. The staff here is always excellent. Stayed here several times and learned to bring my own pillows. Theirs are too hard.

Wife and daughter first trip to KC and they both won at the slots! Enjoyed the stay and hotel manager was fantastic. She personally brought us extra towels, pillows and linen!

I liked the snacks (Doritos) left behind for me when I checked in. I prefer if they were in a sealed bag though for next time.

I thought the slot machines were not entertaining. They were set too tight. I will never stay at this casino or any of its associated resorts. Most slot machines were old; just not a fun gambling facility.
Room was average. Clean. Nothing special. Limited food options after 11 pm.

This hotel has gone downhill quickly. The horrific smells in our room as well as the hallway were shocking. It smelled like massive water damage occurred on the 11th floor and created strong mildew and poop smells. It gave us horrible headaches. We called the front desk to ask if maintenance or room service could come do something to help mask the smell and no one ever showed up. It was impossible to sleep all night due to the awful smell. We will not be going back.
I also never understand the carpet choices in the hotel. It looks like multiple murders occurred in the hallways as the carpets have large splatters of red which looks like blood.
Just a horrible experience when it has so much potential for customers going to concerts and want to stay overnight.

Rude staff request led for extra blankets and late check out and staff had attitude problems and said no she can’t help me out with either request would not stay here ever again!!
