The suite was very comfortable - the TV even had good English speaking channels available. The location is perfect - close to the beach, restaurants, and books!

The maid service was excellent as was the roof top pool, otherwise the property was not good.

The property is conveniently located in Zona Romantica with access to a swimmable beach after a 5 minute walk. My room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The cleaning staff was amazing with daily outstanding service. Desk staff, especially Dora, was friendly and helpful. Roof-top sundeck provided a private. peaceful oasis with beautiful views. Pools are only 3 ft deep and mainly decorative but added to an overall relaxing ambiance. Location on a small park which my room faced was noisy on several nights but did not interrupt sleep. It also provided an opportunity to experience a fabulous weekly Farmer's Market and a lively folkloric performance one night. Amenities like a coffeemaker or mini-fridge would have been helpful, but there are several cafes, convenience stores, bars, and decent restaurants right out the front door. Try Serrano's for a nice breakfast and great coffee. Overall. Hotel Eloisa is a safe, very clean and safe, and convenient venue at a very reasonable price point.

First shower the drain was blocked and the water spread in the room . After the air conditioning was very noisy and I had drops of water on the floor. At least they sent fast an employee to resolve the problems

I really was impressed with the cleanliness and customer service. Nice rooms for the price and 2 pools! I will definitely stay again and recommend it to my friend's. PV's best kept secret!

The hotel is very basic and quite old. However the rooms are as clean as can be expected. The staff at the hotel are excellent from front desk to room cleaning. Hotel is in a great area right in the middle of the Romantic Zone close to everything and a half block from the beach. Having stayed here we would not stay again given a choice but that is only because there are newer hotels with more up to date facilities available.

room was small, with no amenities (no fridge microwave coffee) beds were comfortable but small, excellent location, nice lobby with small pool, great rooftop patio with furniture and swimming pool.

Great hotel in a great location. Just what is needed with good sized rooms, nice shower, and right next to EVERYTHING in PV.

Overall, our stay was very good. The location is excellent, right in the heart of La Zona Romántica. The only negative was the small size of the room and they were a bit stingy with towels. We had to use our bath towels at the pool. Also they have a sign in the rooms warning you to take inventory of kitchen items because if any are missing they will charge you. Price list included. But those are minor complaints in an otherwise very comfortable stay.

We stayed in a standard room. The staff was nice. There was no view at all, and we could not open the window. The AC unit in our first room was leaking water, so they moved us down the hall to another room. We had to ask for hand towels and extra toilet paper, but the staff was happy to provide. The swimming pools are tiny - only 3 ft deep - really just ornamental. The best thing by far is the location - right in the heart of Zona Romantica, close to the beach and all the great restaraunts and shops. The shower drain was very slow and hot water went out for a while during our stay. WiFi was unusable. I would only recommend this place to folks who just need a place to crash and don't really need to spend much time in their room. But there are few good options in the area at this price.

Love the fact this hotel is right smack in the middle of the Zona Romantica, the Malecon and downtown. The hotel is average at best and great for travelers who want to explore and be out and about. The cleaning staff is really nice and never had a problem.
It is an old hotel, but it is kept fairly well. The air conditioning is great. Maybe too cold for a December visit.
This is my second stay in at this property and I wouldn't mind staying there again. Mind you, this is not a resort with an endless pool or anything close to that. It is a hotel that is in the perfect location to restaurants, Pharmacies, beach, taxis and night life. A great place to stay for the budget conscience.
I will be staying there again soon!!

Liked the friendly staff and quick response to complaints. The Eloisa is a friendly, smooth run problem free relaxing place to stay.

Paid for "upgrade" from standard room to standard suite. No suites available upon arrival even though it was "reserved and paid for in advance". Staff attitude was "oh well, nothing we can do", couldn't make eye contact. Blankets stunk of previous guests perfume. Upon check-in I was presented with an inventory list of fines for items should I choose to steal them. Only 2 towels, no wash cloth, no hand towel, no paper towel, no dish soap, coffee maker broken. I was offended from the beginning. Very disappointed. Standard room is literally a concrete box with somde misc. equipment. .

This hotel is very convenient along Los Muertos. Lots of restaurants and easy access to the beach.
The wifi can be challenging but other than that its a great place to stay.

Lots of water pressure and hot water. Quiet for the area, very surprised. Older heavy guy who works the front desk at night is a gem!

They gave away our room that we booked through Expedia and have zero acknowledgement. We were a group of four and wanted a specific layout. We ended up downgrading for the same price!! Expedia fun the hotel didn’t make for the vacation we thought we were getting

Hotel Eloise is a basic property convenient in the heart of the romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta. Rooms that face the park suffer from noise at night until the bars close and you are awaken at 8 AM with the Zumba class going Monday through Friday. staff are very pleasant and helpful.

My room was excellent, it had a kitchenette. Mini refrigerator was there but not cold. TV had issues. The worst was the only wifi access was in the lobby. Then again, these are things that keep you IN the room. Got outside more and saw more of the town!!

This was my second time at the property. Last year the room was okay. There was no view, the room was interior, and there was a ton of construction noise.
I booked again this year for my friend and stayed there the last few days after she left. This time we appeared to have been upgraded. Top floor, amazing views and dedicated seating.
However, there was a hole near the ceiling in the bathroom that looked out into another ‘room’ that appeared to be an attic of some sort. We heard voices here at night.
I asked if we could book a suite or similar room for next year, and they told me that it was first-come, first-served with whatever room is available upon check in, even though Expedia, and other third party sites project differently.
They turned off our key a day early and pretended like they were having computer issues to activate another key. The cost for last-minute travel is great, but I will likely scroll to the next option and pay a bit more next time.

Great stay here and centrally located.

Very good location and friendly staff, but very poor maintenance. Loose toilet seat, shower didn't drain, loose toilet paper holder. The kitchenette included a toaster, coffee pot, hot plate, TV, and mini-refrigerator, all these items plugged into ONE single outlet! You can use only one of these at a time! The TV used two remotes and was impossible for me to figure out how to change channels . Written English instructions would have helped.

Property was clean and all help was very friendly. It's a basic hotel, but for the price I would stay there again. Plenty of restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the hotel. I was very impressed with how friendly everyone at the hotel was.
