An absolutely great property! We had a beautiful room more of a suit. Plenty of room! It’s in an incredible location and the staff is so helpful and so friendly. Their complementary happy hour in the afternoon is wonderful. Highly recommend.

We bookended our Tuscany experience with stays at the Davanzati in two different rooms. Unfortunately our stay was marred by a total lack of service on the last day. There was a taxi strike when we departed for the airport. We were not given any notice by the hotel, and we were not offered any assistance in trying to get to the airport. We think a high-quality hotel would have offered alternatives. A very stressful early morning! We won't repeat our stay at this hotel.

I had one of the most pleasing stays in a hotel for quite a while at Davanzati. It is supremely situated, the rooms are spacey and full of historic atmosphere, and the staff may just be the friendliest I have yet to come across in Italy - and I’ve been there more than a few times by now

The hotel is well Iocated and the staff is very friendly but the room that I was given smelled so bad to sewer that it was impossible for me to spend the night there. When I called the front desk, he came and open the door to the patio and open the sink and shower taps and let the water run for 20 mins and said that it was a problem from the pipelines. He said I could sleep with the doors open as there wasn't anymore rooms available (this was December). It was clear they had a problem with this room and I just wanted to have a normal night sleep in a clean hotel room. So I left and requested the refund of the money at which the receptionist said that he would call the manager and thought it was ok. So I left and sent an email to Hotels.com as I had made the booking through them and went to another hotel nearby. The refund was declined by the hotel which I don't think it's fair as sleeping in that room was disgusting.

It was a very interesting stay. The hotel is in a great location in Florence. Front desk was wonderful and the breakfast was very nice. Tip—if you have a lot of luggage this may not be the best place since there are 25 steps to reach the front desk. The windows kept outside noises except the random thunderstorm away but there were some very loud guests or possibly nearby residents on our night there. Still would recommend highly as a very good value for the price.

The staff was very helpful getting our luggage up the flight of stairs to the lift stored our luggage due to room not ready yet when we went back to get our room later in the day our luggage was already in the room

We had a fantastic time here. The staff are very attentive and lots of small extras were a nice touch.
There was little warning about the parking situation (almost impossible to park near and not have other drivers damage your hire car). It is right in the centre and there are complex driving arrangements with no vehicle zones that are confusing. Well research your parking plans first. We parked 20 minutes walk away in a public car park by the train station
This doesn't detract from the brilliant stay just some advice for future travellers if bringing a car

I just went to Florence for five days and I am delighted and grateful I found this wonderful family-run hotel right at the centre of the city. More than the perfect location for visiting the key sights, Hotel Davanzati is a beautiful and comfortable boutique hotel where the family team are both welcoming and efficient, attending to your every need so that you have a wonderful and comfortable stay with them. The breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee service, and aperitif in the evening are lovely to get you going for the day, to relax on a break from the visit, or getting ready to go for dinner.
All in all a Five Star experience!

Great location, lovely stay, impeccable service! Leonardo was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my stay, and the barista at breakfast made the best cappuccino I have ever had!! Grazi!!

This is the third time I have stayed at the Hotel Davanzait and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and professional, and the
hotel includes breakfast, afternoon tea and Happy Hour which are all included in the price. I hope to return there again someday.

Very convenient location. Very clean with good quality bedding. Good selection of fruits and foods for Breakfast. Happy hour was lovely..nice and cozy with good quality wines and snacks. Leonardo and Alberto were exceptional front desk staff..very affable, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Location can’t get any better. Every staff member was extremely helpful with everything - even gave a restaurant recommendation that was easily the best meal on the trip.

We loved this property. It was a smaller room but the place is gorgeous, clean and first-rate facilities with a old-world charm. Check-in was quick and efficient. Angel was friendly, personable and eager to provide good suggestions for our stay in Florence. We will definitely stay here again!!

Excellent advice from staff on dining options and who also volunteered to make reservations for us. The service also extended to helping move luggage up and down stairs. We enjoyed a four night stay thid central location in Florence.

I love the property it was very nice inside… Breakfast was excellent and staff was friendly..But it was rather close to the train station… It’s good if you want to use the train a-lot about a 5 minute walk,..but a lot of transient people live/hangout there

We loved our stay at Davanzati! We were a family of 4 and the superior quadruple room was perfect for us and our two college aged kids. The location was walkable to everything. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they greeted us whenever we walked by the front desk. The property had a nice breakfast and happy hour. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Very nicely located. The staff is SUPER friendly and nice. They include breakfast, tea-time at 4:40pm and wine o'clock at 6:30. The room (quadruple) was clean and very comfortable. The only thing is one inevitable flight of stairs (about 10 steps), which may be an issue if you have mobility issues, but it was totally fine with me. I would definitely go back, and recommend.

Stayed for 1 night, lovely quaint hotel. Staff very friendly. Loved the complimentary happy hour with Prosecco, wine, tea time, and delicious free breakfast with pastries, cheeses, yogurts, fruits and more. Leonardo called me a taxi for airport and came in 5 minutes. Great location! Grazie 🌷

Wonderful boutique hotel. In an old, Florentine building with all the charm and old-world style of Florence. Perfect location, everything is very walkable from the Davanzati. But what makes this hotel outstanding is the helpful, friendly, and efficient staff. Always willing to help--great dining suggestions, good shopping tips, navigation experts. The best!

Fabulous stay!! The gorgeous room was spacious, very clean, comfortable bed and nice view of church bell. Wonderful breakfast and Prosecco happy hour a treat. The service was the absolute best we encountered in Italy. Dining recommendation superb, and arranged for taxi next morning so convenient. Hope to return soon!
