We stayed for six days here in late April. We had a great relaxing stay at RdR. We were in the Gabriella room which was a bit small but worked well for us. Beautiful hotel and close to everything in the Zona Romantica.

Quirky, vintage, cool boutique hotel in a quiet area that's easily walkable to the beach and attractions. Hotel kitties are treated like royalty as are the guests. The breakfast was better than expected. Carolina was exceptionally attentive to us. Would definitely stay again :)

My favorite hotel in Puerto Vallarta, you go for the beautiful rooms and rooftop pool/hot tub but stay for the amazing service, staff and charm

During our stay we had a bug invasion. Thousands of bugs in the bathroom, and that's no exaggeration. We called the front desk and they took care of the problem right away. we had to remove everything from the bathroom and leave so that they could get rid of the bugs. There was no compensation or even an apology for the inconvenience. We wouldn't recommend ordering their continental breakfast, very pricey for what you get. Otherwise, a quiet area, comfortable bed, interesting decor

A stylish oasis in the Romantic Zone next to the Cuale River which was a perfect place to walk our dog. Large suites and friendly staff makes it feel like home.Great fooftop pool and bar!

Beautiful and unique small boutique hotel with a rooftop pool and bar and a gorgeous view. Staff responsive and friendly.. and all of the rooms were absolutely gorgeous! Love this charming hotel

Only things I didn’t like was the hair dryer and some trouble with the shower temperature varying from hot to cold and back, in spite of never changing the handle setting. It’s like being in an old building where the water temperatures are affected by thos above and below.

This was a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. The bed was super comfortable. The weather outside was hot and humid and we were thankful that the ac worked great and the pools were refreshing. The rooftop pool was our favorite. The breakfast room was beautiful and we were able to choose from a menu. It was a nice walk through the park to restaurants and the beachfront. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

As a single traveller, I loved the location. It was quiet and safe and had everything I needed. Walking distance to everything I needed ( stores/beach/Starbucks/restaurants) The staff was terrific too!

Scarlet Room was very charming, the property was unique, and the pools were great, but the service is what makes Rivera del Rio a truly excellent place to stay!

We had prepaid for 4 nights. When we saw our room, it was huge with lots of steps up and down to the different areas. I have difficulties going up and down steps and requested that was not so large! a different room. The manager said that it would be an addition $40 per night charge! When I complained, he called his boss and dropped the additional cost to $20 per night! I did not appreaciate the bait and switch game played but because we were tired and it was late, agreed to the new rate!

Rivera del Rio was a great stay in Puerto Vallarta. The staff was respectful and polite. Overall a great experience. We would definitely stay at Rivera del Rio next time we are in Puerto Vallarta!

We enjoyed the smaller, away from from the immediate hustle and bustle. The view from the infinity pool and bar was amazing and my favorite part of this hotel.

Beautiful property. Great location. Nice staff. The comfort overall depends on the room you get. The rooms in the old portion of the hotel are much harder to sleep in. Never quite dark or quiet. Newer portion more quiet and private. Would be nice to have coffee in rooms. Hot water is elusive but it is Mexico and very warm.

I only had one night in Puerto Vallarta before heading to Yelapa. I really wanted to stay anywhere other than a resort and found this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here and wished I had stayed longer. The hotel and my room were beautiful and I was very comfortable. Great wifi (I was working remotely) and great hospitality from the staff. Elizabeth the cat was an added treat. I will definitely be back!

Lovely, unique property, very ornate and beautiful. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed this property. Fresh bottled water always available. The staff was very attentive, and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious! Oh, and that rooftop pool and bar, lolabsolutely fantastic. Would not hesitate to return!

The shower is unreliable. . Sometimes hot sometimes cold. Depended what was happening on the floors below. I’ll return because it’s a beautiful property I just won’t take showers.

Just Book it! Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. We stayed in July so there was some rain at Night. Balcony did flood a little and into the room but the staff was on it! Working hard to sweep the water away. Love the whole hotel. The A/C works great. Highly recommend and its only 10 min walk to malecon. Hotel pool(s) were fun. Loved this romantic hotel. The Alejando suite is great and the other rooms looked amazing!! Elizabeth the Cat is sweet too. Anw book the hotel its worth it!

Very beautiful, unique and authentic hotel with super nice and friendly staff! We had a very nice stay! Short walk to the beach and everything we needed! Air condition worked very well, which is super important in the heat of Mexico in July! The infinity pool was gorgeous too!

When I checked in first day, I asked the hotel any upgrade and benefits as a silver member of expedia, they said nothing. 2nd day, my wife had many bites of bed bug on her ankle and showed them and asked to change a room,
the hotel could not even though not high season and the was a room available. Therefore, I asked the hotel cleanning properly, but the hotel did not change sheets when I came to a room. I could find hairs on our bed , many marks on a table , wash room and tub not clean , and very much drainage smell all the time.. So, I had let them to know the condition, but the hotel did not care at all. When it was rainning, water came into our room through bottom of door. So, I complained but the hotel said ir was normal…. and so on.
I really disappointed at expedia this trip. I am not going to book expedia VIP hotels any more and not recommend to anyone I know. This trip was my worst trip in my life.
For your reputation, I want expedia should carefully appoint VIP hotels in the future for more your customers.

Our stay here was amazing, the concierge recommended us a nice little cafe on our first day and we loved it we went everyday, the bartender was friendly and accommodating, everything was within walking distance and super safe to walk at night, will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family.
