We had am amazing, truly relaxing stay despite of a big storm hitting the area on our second day.
The room, breakfast (outstanding juices and bread!), dinner, cleanliness, efficiency of the receptionists, and friendliness of the staff in general were excellent.
One thing it was missing for us was some translation of the texts into Mallorqui (menus, names, instructions), just as a wink or out of respect for the land where the hotel sits and the heritage the place has. The only bit in Mallorqui we found was 'Raco Mallorqui' at breakfast. Adding more of the local language into the narratives would not cost much. In fact, from a PR point of view, it would make it more quaint and authentic. Many of the staff can communicate in Mallorqui, so that is not an issue, and those who can't speak Spanish, which is fine, this is not an issue about the language the very nice stuff speak.

Very relaxing and well looked after.
High spec finish in public areas and rooms, sun-loungers plentiful. Very tranquil setting.
It would have been nice to be able to order food to the pool (sandwiches/nibbles) rather that the more formal bistro menu.

Weird! Make sure you’re in bed by 9pm!
Great staff. Nice gardens and pool. Rooms very comfortable. Gym really good.
This place is weird! I’m going to write a slightly longer review than I usually do, so here goes. There are c.75 rooms, and it was pretty full. Every single other guest was German. This resulted in: 1) Restaurant hours are super-early. Restaurant opens at 7pm, and is 90% full by 715pm; 50% empty by 830pm; and 95% empty by 930pm. 2) Because the guests all rush to the restaurant for 705pm, the hotel gardens, pool and common areas are completely empty at 630pm. 3) Everybody, including staff, speak to you in German. It doesn’t feel like you are in Spain. My biggest problem however is that this is a beautiful rural hotel - 6km to nearest town of Arta (which is very small and dull) - so you are stuck there for the evening meal unless you want to drive. Not only are the “eating hours” weirdly early (we were last guests in restaurant at 955pm), but the food is terrible. Really terrible. 4 courses each night, with a paltry 2 choices for each course. €59 each. This could be great, but the quality is soooooo poor. Last night’s meal was one of the worst meals i’ve ever had, and cost €200 with wine (NB: a €13 bottle of wine here costs c. €55). Course 1 = A single breaded prawn and a miniscule flavouless scallop. Course 2 = chicken consomme, which was just hot water with chives and worse than a tepid chicken oxo cube. Course 3 = salmon fillet (was fine, but basically like a Tesco pre-cooked fillet that costs £4 for 2); course 4 = rum baba. Tiny, flavourless sponge with melted ice cream. Just so poor. Usually I wouldn’t care if hotel food was rubbish, but if you want to have a glass of wine at night, you need to eat here given rural location. Good luck finding a taxi in Arta. Looking at other reviews, I’m getting ready for the hotel to say “this review is unfair and most of our guests love our international cuisine from our great team”. I’m sure they do, but hey ho! If you want to eat airport quality food for €200 / night, and do so at 7pm - then this is for you.
