I love the ambiance of the hotel...it's lovely not to be in a cookie cutter space. Room was pretty. Staff was helpful. Attached restaurant was delicious.
The heat was malfunctioning. Our room didn't get above 67 degrees until our last day there. Rooms are older, so small. Ours was very nicely decorated...could have felt like a cozy little space, but instead was just cold. Staff offered a space heater, but sleeping with space heater on always seems like a bad idea.

Parking was not that easy and it was if I'm not mistaking $25 a day to park in the adjacent lot

It is in great location and walking distance to everything in downtown, the only downside is the property doesn't have parking so you have to pay extra money for parking.

Perfect location for our needs. We were happily surprised at the size of our room and loved the restaurant, Eggsburgh, connected to the hotel. We ate breakfast there everyday during our stay.
Returning next year for the Kilby Block Party music festival and already reserved our room.

Very, very clean and comfortable. The restoration on this old hotel is perfectly wonderful.
The location, but that is not their fault. SLC is an unsafe dump of a city.

Steam Punk galore! This is a fun hotel. Our room wasn’t huge but was comfortable and well arranged. The bathroom was on the small side but cute and clean. Also there’s comfortable and inviting common space downstairs. Staff (Lucy in particular) was exceptionally helpful, and the adjacent restaurant served yummy food. Their staff was also excellent. It’s situated downtown in a walkable area.

The rooms were very Spartan. The bathroom needs somewhere to put your toiletries. The were very clean and comfortable bed. Cleaning staff excellent.
The front of the house folks need a lot of training. The don’t know hours of operations for the bar and restaurant connected to them. They didn’t follow though on to wake up calls. One on my departure morning.

The charming feel of the hotel. Your early evening desk clerk was awesome !! I can’t remember her name unfortunately.

Location was good. Breakfast not included. But the restaurant attached was very good and fast service.
Bathroom was extremely small. A large person cannot function in the bathroom due to the size and design. No internet in the rooms.

If you like historic buildings, you will like this hotel.
1. No parking - you have to park in public parking nearby. If there is an event downtown, forget it. Plus the parking was $30/day
2. No mini-fridge or microwave - not a huge deal but couldn’t keep water or snacks cold.
