About this apartment rental

The loft is located on the fifth and top floor of a building protected by an artistic bond, as it is among the oldest in the district. It's no lift, so if you don't have good legs, it's not for you ...! On the other hand, once you have reached the summit, you will really have the sensation of floating above the historic center, because the room is flooded with splendid light all day long, which comes from the skylights. From here there is a small glimpse of the roofs, but especially you can touch that genoa blue with the finger that gave the name to the famous Blue Jeans. The loft has recently been restored in detail, including the bathroom, the roof, the floor and all the facilities. It is furnished in a modern style. However, it retains some structural elements, such as the supporting beam that supports the roof along the entire length of the room, which date back to the time of construction of the building. The roof is sloping and in the highest area of the room a mezzanine has been inserted, on which there is a double bed. There is also a double sofa bed and two ottomans that can be converted into a single bed. It has a large fully equipped kitchenette complete with all appliances: dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, espresso machine, etc. In the loft you will also find wifi, iron, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, TV and washing machine.

My bag never landed with me. I arrived at the airport and it was gone. I arrived "home" and had nothing with me. Paola provided me with everything. She put together a "first night/day kit" with all possible items I could have required for my stay. She helped me with all burocracy to get my bag back, she called the airport, the airline company, the credit card company. She really made me feel home. She did all possible in order not to make me waste any additional time and...enthusiasm. She has turned a negative experience into an example of helpfuness that I will always remember with joy. The apartment level honorus Paola's helpfulnes. Beatiful, well equiped, charmly, clean. Could not have had a better stay! Thanks for everything!

We spent 5 calm nights there and not only we found the loft nice and cosy but also the owner was very kind. There are a lot of stairs to go up for reaching the loft but you get used to it soon; just avoid to take heavy laugages with you. It's calm and clean and you can enjoy enough light during the day. The kitchenwares are not adequate and you can not use the dishwasher unless you don't use electricity for cooking on electric oven. But generally, it really worths to try this lovely loft as a convenient place to stay in heart of Genova.

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Genova. My wife and I were on our honeymoon, and the place was perfect for the two of us. It's location is amazing, as everything is right at your doorstep. And Paola was wonderful, giving us information on things to do and places to eat.

My husband (a retired architect) & I stayed in the Loft Aquarium Apartment 4 nights in May. We were offered this property when a different property we sought. This Apartment was still under construction at the time of our reservation. We were extremely impressed with the design and layout choices & particularly with the materials used in the renovation; a very clean, bright & fresh ambiance. It is a long walk up the stairs to the fifth, top floor, (no lift) but it is well worth it.(quite doable even though we are in our mid 60's) The location is ideal, easy to get to everything. Via San Luca steps away & offers small grocery stores, shops, restaurants & is in the very old part of the city. Fascinating wandering around there. Trains & buses available very close by also. Taxi's are available in the Acquario area by the the port. We arrived by train, took a Taxi from the Train Station, a very quick trip, reasonable about 12Euro, with luggage a much easier than walking. We met Paola in the street, who'd gone to purchase Focaccia --welcome gift, very nice of her and much appreciated. Paola was amazing to deal with from beginning to end. She responded very quickly to our initial email and continued to be easy to communicate with throughout our stay. She recommended things to do places & to go based on our interests. She provided an Italian cell phone to use while we were there, although we never did really figure out how to work it, it was very thoughtful. We walked to Boccadasse, a little fishing village just north of Genova, took the train to Santa Margherita then strolled to Portofino which was a most amazing walk along the sea past beautiful homes, hotels and beaches, gorgeous and we highly recommend it. Wish we had more time in Santa Margherita--a very quaint place. The Slo Food Festival was going on in Genova right in front of aquarium and it presented many wonderful local fishes and other foods to sample which we did. We loved the apartment, it was quiet, relaxing, immaculately clean and had everything we needed to cook. Great WIFI. Sleeping in the bed up in the mezannine was great. It was comfortable and spacious up there. At first I worried I might fall out, but there is plenty of room and it's quite comfortable. It was a wonderful visit and a fantastic apartment, and owner is very gracious and quick to respond. Loved it all Thanks Paola
