highly recommended to stay here, walking distance to blue mosque, aya sofia and topkapi.

Awesome! spread was good. Breakfast location was serene. The room is as per what I expected based on the picture at time of booking. there was one staff who was super helpful and kind. help with our bags at arrival and departure, even guided the airport transfer. such a shame we didn't get his name though. such a gem! he was there for breakfast and when we arrived the night before. the staff with coats n jackets though could be tad bit more friendly, I'm assuming because we're Asians. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

the bathroom area at bathtub were bit challenging in climbing into it. Another bathmat should be provided at the bathtub area due to its slippery condition when water gets to it. other than this, it was a clean bathroom.

Lovely traditional hotel in a vibrant city. Wear comfy footwear.

The hotel is in the ancient city with easy access to eferywherr. It was very clean and the staff were nice. Breakfast was plentiful, the hot food was luke warm so could be improved. Bedding and towels were spotless. There were nice touches like toiletries, bottled water each day in room and hairdryer, were welcome. It was cold so wall heaters were on in the breakfast room ensuring it was lovely and warm.

Our room was quite noisy as 1st floor we heard neighbours cgatting sitting outside and noise from people walking past in street. Also we were right by wooden stairs so heard everyone late night and early morning using the stairs to come and go.

Good hotel, superb staff.

Good hotel in good location. Staff is super good. I would like to say a special thanks to Mehmet on reception. He definitely made all of us feel very welcome. He helped to organise all the trips and leisure we wanted, taxis, etc., sometimes on very short notice. The hotel has a nice garden outside, and it is lovely to have some tea and coffee in there.

Breakfast cold be a bit improved. It's ok.

The barthroom door is bit scary 😨 Cox it is a sliding door , when we close, one side goes out of the hook, and it's loosened. Apart from that, everything was super amazing..

A superb stay near the historic center of Istanbul !

Very good hotel near the historic center of Istanbul (convenient for walking tours). Competent and very helpful staff, especially with our luggage and the baby stroller. Good value for money !

Charm, Character and Location

the beautiful rich furnishings. I wanted to stay in a hotel that had the beautiful colors and carpets. The staff is fantastic, my room was so beautiful and the location was perfect for the tourist spots I wanted to see.

The buildings are very old and with that comes some areas you can see need a little TLC. But I chose this hotel for its character and charm, if I wanted perfect and new there were hotels for that.

shockingly bad

breakfast

staff tried to deny us the room we had booked saying a family were going into it at midnight and would we accept separate rooms! eventually put us in a different room that builders were working on the roof! laying tiles all day long! eventually got our room where my friend slept on a mattress on the floor! as the advertised sofa bed was only for a child!

Istanbul it 's a very big city, with a lot of tourists, it is an " organized chaos "

Little and cozy hotel in the middle of Istanbul, very close to the top atractions of the city. The distance from the Istanbul airport is about one hour and a half during the week and about one hour in we, I think it is good to know that. We rented a family room, large and very clean, with a double bed and one sofa for the kid. It is a little bit noisy because it is on the street, but it was ok in the end The big minus is for the bathtub, because it has tho steps to get in , very uncomfortable for the kid and even for us with wet feet. The breakfast is good, a little bit more " turkish ", but with many dishes and a very good pastry. The staff very kind and helpful.

WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!

I did not like anything about this hotel.

We decided to stay at Sokullu Passa hotel for our first holiday as a married couple, because of the really amazing reviews we read on trip advisor and booking.com. Sadly, the amazing reviews we had read online turned out to be our worst nightmare in reality. The hotel was nothing like what the reviews had stated, nor did it look anything like the pictures posted online by the hotel managers. It was so grotty and filthy. The blinds were half broken and falling off the pole, the bed sheets were dirty with blood stains on them, the hairdryer was broken (when we asked for one, they just celotaped the broken one), the toiletries had mould on them, there was water dripping from the AC, there was an iron board with no cloth to iron on, and the list goes on… When we drew all of this to the attention of the staff and eventually the hotel manager, instead of acknowledging our complaints, the staff were not willing to help at all. Instead of being helpful and apologetic, the manager was so rude and defensive, and blaming us for the faults. Like come on- as if we travelled all the way from London for our honeymoon to damage their room. What a joke. The hotel manager said we are the only people that have complained, and none of their other customers have complained before, so clearly we are the problem. He saw clear evidence of the things in the room, but was still in denial. He even pointed to us that their star ratings on trip advisor was 9. What a strange comment to make when you can clearly see the awful state of the room. It makes me wonder now, if they write their own reviews or get people to make accounts and write it for them??? My last request to you all, please don’t be fooled by the fancy pictures online and amazing reviews on trip advisor. Trust our word in this (Date: August 2022) and do NOT book Sokullu Passa for your trip to turkey. We will upload pictures so you can see for yourself.

Excellent!!!

Everything was great. The area, the hotel was very clean, all people there were so kind and friendly. People also at the breakfast was great. The girls for cleaning was very friendly. Guys at reception was great. The room was excellent. Nice, big room, nice view, traditional turkish decoration, the are of the breakfast great and also the garden was great. I will visit this hotel again for sure!!!!

Great location, fantastic breakfast, awesome staff

The staff was really helpful - whether it be the manager or the support staff. Even the airport transfers the hotel arranged were quite economical and efficient. We especially liked the Turkish breakfast served. The spread was pretty good - and resident cat every morning was an added bonus. Location was naturally fabulous with most major major attractions being at a walking distance. Though with everything being at a height one needed to be strategic about which way to go and come from. For example it was better to stop at a tram station uphill and then come downwards towards the hotel and while leaving hotel go downhill to the nearest bus stop to start your day if possible. Another fantastic thing about the hotel was the fact that a popular restaurant 1897 was right next door. The service, food and the price at which it is served are all unbelievably awesome. All in all really happy we chose this hotel.

The shower was more like a tap rather than a shower as the water came out en masse with no option to control it well. Also we tried opening the TV 2-3 times but didn't work. We might be missing something but didn't bother calling the staff as we anyway didn't have much time to watch TV. A couple of additional plug points would have also been good.

Staff very nice and cooperative. Rooms clean and well furnished, breakfast also good.

Accessibility to Sultanahmet Tram Station, blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia is very difficult and tiresome. Streets are quite narrow and very steep walking. Distances mentioned in Booking.com are aerial Distances, on ground walking takes much time and tiredness. Hotel can be good for solo travellers who just come to sleep or slightly aged people who like spending most of the time in Hotel. Not feasible for families. No issue with statf, cleanliness or breakfast etc.
