About this house rental
Nestled in Saint George Island, this charming house for £275 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. FREE Beach Gear! Guests of this home will enjoy a complimentary beach gear credit toward items such as bicycles, kayaks, beach umbrellas and more! Welcome to "Finally"! This quintessential beach cottage offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 8 total guests. 1 small dog under 30lb will be considered for an additional fee. The open living space features a large great room with vaulted ceiling, large, flat screen TV and DVD/VHS player and Queen size sleeper sofa. For your entertainment, we have a collection of movies and a book library for those lazy afternoon beach reads. The dining area can accommodate up to 8, with 4-5 at the dining table and an additional 3 at the breakfast bar. If you prefer to dine in the lush vegetation, a dining table for 4 is available on our covered deck. The kitchen is well-equipped with all basic appliances and everything you may need to prepare your St. George Island catch of the day. A separate laundry room with full size washer/dryer is located just past the kitchen. The first of the 2 bedrooms is our King bedroom. This oversized master bedroom is light and airy with a sofa, flat screen TV, DVD player and access to the covered deck. The private bathroom has a separate vanity area, walk-in closet and shower stall with hand-held shower head. The second bedroom is located on the opposite end of the home and offers a Queen size bed, a Queen sleeper sofa, flat screen TV and VHS player and access to the covered deck. The adjoining bathroom also has a separate vanity area and a combination tub/shower. The covered deck is a great spot to relax in the shade or you may decide to lay in the sun on the furnished widow’s walk with peek-a-boo views of the Gulf of Mexico. Nestled in a wooded ½ acre lot, ‘Finally’ offers privacy and seclusion surrounded by natural vegetation. Beach access is just a 4 minute walk via the nature path or a 5 minute stroll along the residential streets of the St. George Plantation community. Outdoor amenities include an enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower, park-style charcoal grill, picnic table and covered parking. If you have younger children, underneath the home offers a large, shaded concrete pad--a great place to escape the sun on those hot summer days with little ones who just want to be outside to play, the perfect space for riding toys! And as a guest in the prestigious St. George Island Plantation community, you will have access to the many amenities which include the state-of-the-art Plantation Clubhouse, 2 community pools, tennis and pickleball courts and the fitness center. You also have access to Bob Sike's Cut where you can fish from the jetties or photograph some of the most amazing sunsets. And then there are the miles of bike path that extend the length of the Plantation, a great and memorable way to explore the area and become familiar with our forgotten paradise. Finally is a perfect house for our small family. Enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner at the house - such a well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for 2 or 3 to prep and cook. The entire space is well furnished and has everything you could want. The house is clean, beds comfortable - it is a gem!

Finally was all we were expecting and beyond.This property was comfortable, quiet, and clean and had all we needed.The house is a short walk from the beach, which we enjoyed A LOT with our mini Golden Doodle.We also rented bikes which we highly recommend to ride during sunsets inside the Plantation.

Beach access is good and the Plantation is a pretty area with access to the club house facilities. "Finally" is a very nice smaller (two-bedroom) home in the Plantation. We appreciated having everything on one level, and the split bedroom design and large living area made the home very comfortable. It is a nicely furnished home with a large, well-equipped kitchen. And it was clean and well-maintained. There's just a small view of the Gulf from the home, but it's a short walk to the beach and feels relatively secluded, set back on a short street, with trees around it. And we appreciated that we could have our small dog along with us. We would recommend this rental to others and also recommend Forgotten Shores Properties.

This was our first visit to St George Island and we absolutely loved it! The house was the perfect size for our family of 5 and the Sunday-Sunday rental was ideal with little traffic coming into or leaving the island.The house is well-appointed with a convenient location to the beach and the pool (on nearby Magnolia Lane). A block and a half from the beach down a path or on the road so super convenient. Neither beach nor pool were ever crowded at all!We loved being in the plantation for pool access and Bob Sike’s Cut for a beautiful sunset. My son hoped to fish but could not find anywhere on the island to rent a pole.The only two downsides to the house were no garbage disposal on sink (which may be due to the plumbing situation on the island) and only a charcoal grill (not gas). Other than those two minor things, we loved Finally and hope to be back for another visit!

This property checked all the boxes. This was our first trip to SGI and everything we heard was true. We had some concerns with not having a private pool and not being familiar with the Beaches or the access to them however those concerns were quickly erased. The two community pools within the Plantation were very close to the rental and Massive. Most of the time we had them all to ourselves. The Beach is a short walk around the corner which was made even easier with the free beach equipment and wagon that were provided with the rental. Another great surprise was the ocean views from the porch and Crows Nest. We were able to see Dolphins from the porch or the beach almost everyday. The home overall was very comfortable with plenty of seating and more than enough space for our family of 4. We had no problems whatsoever with anything. If I had any recommendations at all it would be for the owner to add games to the home. We brought some card games of our own but we do enjoy board games and such on those rainy days or sunburned evenings and it’s fun to see what rentals have and play games that you never have or haven’t in a while.

Not sure where to start...great location with a Gulf view, beautiful deck and widow's walk, great living room and beautiful, spacious kitchen and laundry area and the beds were super comfortable. We walked to the beach access most days (not even 5 minutes) and rode bikes, sat waterside for hours. It was incredibly peaceful. We loved being so close to the water without paying front tier prices not to mention alot less wind than beachfront but you could still see AND hear the waves from the deck and widow's walk. Plus, with just the two us and not wanting the condo experience, it isn't always easy finding a house that's just the right size. This house fit the bill.
We ventured out, here and there, to grab some things from the market but there restaurants and bars you can go to if you get cabin fever. We've had many a fun night at Harry A's and good eats at BJs Pizza. The island has so much to offer. But again, this trip, we stayed close to home which was the best place to be. I also need to commend Jamie and the rental/management company. They were friendly and quickly responded to any questions I had. The house is beautiful and you can't beat the location; it's definitely where you want to be if you're looking for tranquility and a restorative getaway. We'll be back.
