Situated in Saint George Island, this charming house for £250 per night is a great choice for your next break. Spacious, immaculate 3BR/2-1/2 bath home across from beach. This home has a large living room with hardwood floors, a separate den, and a great room which has the kitchen, dining room and a sun porch. Two of the bedrooms have hardwood floors. The master suite has carpet. The bedrooms are spacious, and one of the bedrooms has 2 double beds. The other two bedrooms each have a queen bed. It comfortably sleeps 8 people on the beds. The front room and living room have sofas and a number of chairs, and the sun porch has a sofa and chairs. The kitchen has new dishwasher, countertops, cabinets and paint. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The living room and two of the bedroom walls are beautiful solid heart pine wood. There is a large deck facing the beach with lounge chairs. The paved bike path is right out the back door. The concreted downstairs has a nice park grill and picnic table, and also chairs and a large swing. There is an enclosed shower with hot and cold water conveniently located by the downstairs bathroom. This is a great feature, especially with children. There is a double fish cleaning sink on the east side of the house. We own the adjoining lot which is vacant so you have plenty of privacy. The boardwalk to access the beach is conveniently located just across the street and to the right. We are eight blocks down from the entrance to the island, and this puts you located near all restaurants and shopping. The beautiful St. George Island State Park is only about three miles from us.

The property is the perfect getaway on SGI. We could see dolphins from the breakfast table. The house offers all amenities you need to enjoy SGI. Margie checked in on us, when the weather report was forecasting severe storms. Thanks to Margie from Tom&Ellie and Tom&Britta.

My family and I were privileged to spend nine nights, including Thanksgiving, at Sonny’s Place. Great house, fantastic location! This kitchen was the best equipped one we have ever experienced. All my family got to relax and do exactly what we wanted: sit next to the water or walk on the beach, read on the outside deck or inside Sun Porch, explore the island or drive the short distance to Apalachicola, sit in the front entry room and write Christmas cards, or watch football the day after our holiday feast! We thank the Sims family for giving us the chance to laugh, make new memories, and enjoy a beautiful (and a little cold!) vacation together!

The home was very comfortable and well apportioned and supplied. Everything was clean and all kitchen appliances operated well. Home was just across the road from the beach that made it easy to transport to beach. Home is near many good seafood restaurants and local towns that add to the experience. It was a great time by the beach

The house is an older home, the vents need to be cleaned, the whole home needs to be deep cleaned from pots and pans need to be replaced to the deck needs to be repainted. We had to remove the previous renters food out of the fridge and rewash the towels because they were damp and had a musty smell. The location of the home to the beach was nice and a quick walk across the road. Our stay was ok, we stayed in contact with the owner all week on discrepancies and despite all of the issues we dealt with, after we left the owner submitted a damage fee which there were none. The owner was able to charge us an additional fee for this without us having prior knowledge it was happening.

We truly enjoyed our stay. This house had an outside shower with hot water which really helped get the sand off. The over all experience was enjoyable. SGI was not over crowded with a very laid back feel. Definitely a recommend stay.

Sonny’s place was a perfect getaway for our family over spring break. It needs a few updates but in conversation with Margie the owner, I know they are working on those things. Otherwise, it was clean and had everything you would need including a few beach items. Their is an ocean view from the back deck and it is just a short walk over to the beach. Out the front door is the bike path that runs across the island. The center of town is just over a mile away as well. The outdoor shower and the outhouse was perfect with having two young boys. We had such a great time and would definitely consider coming again!

What a wonderful place to stay on St. George Island! The home has a nice feel and very functional set up. The deck and enclosed porch are great places to enjoy seeing the ocean but still having some protection from a windy day. The owners are quick to respond to any messages and very friendly.

The house is at a good location from the beach. Wonderful deck where we were able to do some star gazing. We also enjoyed the porch swing under the deck. There was red tide that week so we wished we would have had access to a pool.

Our church had a ladies retreat at a nearby center and 5 men stayed here and did the cooking for the conference. We really loved the house and plan on using it again. Our host Ms Sims was great to work with.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The house was a great size for our family. The outdoor shower and bath area were such a delight after a long beach day so we didn't track sand into the house. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The back porch had an amazing view of the ocean and beautiful stars at night. It was a perfect location and such a short walk to the beach. It felt like home. Margie was beyond helpful and so sweet as a host. We will definitely visit again. Thanks for letting us stay!

We loved this house!!! It was very conveniently located to everything - the beach (1 block), the State Park, the lighthouse, the bike shop, the fabulous ice cream store and the bridge. The house is very clean, spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make the meals we wanted. We loved the grill and the picnic table set in the shade under the deck, plus a porch swing and a foot shower for sand under there, too. The upper deck was a great place to sit in the sun. Margie was very friendly and nice to work with. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

What an amazing time we had at Sonny’s Place! It was perfect for our girlfriends getaway! It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The beach was only a short walk away, as well as all the local attractions. We rented bikes for the week and enjoyed having the bike path in front of the house for our morning rides. We highly recommend staying here and will most definitely be back!
