Our family arrived right at 3 pm and was able to get in right away. The elevator was a big help with getting our luggage to each floor, the pool was great to have for the whole family. The house was very comfortable and roomy as well, we had 14 adults and 10 grandchildren with us with enough space for everyone! This home will most definitely be on our list for a future rental l! The kitchen was big enough for myself, my wife and sister-in-law to be able to cook at the same time which was a good thing!

Our large family had an amazing week staying at this beautiful house! It is roomy, very clean and well-situated between the beach and main road. We loved that we could walk to the beach easily, then come back and hang in the pool. If we needed anything from Larry, he was very quick to respond and gracious. I would highly recommend this property for a large family gathering. It was perfect for our week in Oak Island!

Rose was very responsive and also initiated contact to let us know that the previous renters had trashed the house. Wanted to make sure the place was cleaned to our satisfaction! We ended up calling her back because vinyl floors needed mopping. But she sent her cleaner right out that day! Had some issues with appliances (ice makers and one dishwasher) were not working. Rose purchased a countertop ice maker and offered to buy us ice until the ice maker arrived 2 days later. The beds need more supports underneath, more slats and perhaps better box springs? Great space around house with double decks and outdoor furniture around the pool is great!!! Lots of pool toys, and hot tub is nice! Two indoor living spaces with large TV’s and a separate beverage fridge upstairs! Baths and showers work well and all rooms have ceiling fans or exhaust fans!! Lots of games and places to park under the house!!! Enjoyed our stay and meeting Rose!!!

The house was great! We had 5 families and still didn't use all the bedrooms! There was plenty of space to spread out and to allow for quiet with napping little ones. The kitchen had everything you needed for big meal prep, including double microwaves and dishwashers. The kids had a blast in the pool and the outdoor furniture was really comfortable. The owners were prompt with answers to questions and communication great. We will be back!

The property is well maintained and the layout is true to it’s pictures. We were amazed at the thought that went into making sure they had the majority of the things we needed to make our stay an awesome vacation.

The property was just as described. It was very clean. Elevator was super useful in carrying in luggage and groceries. Beach is just a short walk away. We loved our stay. The only thing we could have possibly wanted that we didn’t have were a few extra towels and washcloths.

We had an absolutely wonderful time this past weekend! The beach is a short walk away, the kitchen is enormous and easily allowed several people to be cooking at the same time. I'd recommend this house for anyone's get together at the beach!

Our group of 16 were extremely satisfied with the accommodations. We were a short walk to the beach, close to a golf course and shopping. Communications with the owner were easy. The house is exactly as described. No surprises! I highly recommend this owner and house.

Ideal for a large group beach weekend!

We found this property through VRBO and it was exactly as it was listed. Very roomy and comfortable. Beautiful property. Was used for my daughters wedding reception and it was beautiful. The elevator however did not work and the owner did all he could to repair. He did give us some money back on the fees paid so that helped a little but my elderly family that stayed with us had a hard time maneuvering all those steps through the whole stay. The owner was there every time we called and needed him for anything. The landscaping around the pool was beautiful. Would recommend!

Our stay at Sandcastle was amazing! Right from the start Rose and Larry were so friendly and accommodating.Especially since our airline moved our flight dates 3 times for our sons wedding. We were so grateful for this lovely home. It accommodated 16 people arriving from Around the country. Icing on the cake to a perfect wedding❤️

Our family had a great time. The house is huge, awesome and very nice! It met all of my expectations and more. We were just a short walk to the beach, but golf carts were a plus. Beautiful location, beautiful place to stay!

I only have positive things to say about this home! It was absolutely beautiful. It looks just like the pictures. It was clean and fully stocked with linens, dish soap, kitchen gadgets, and even gas for the grill. The master bedrooms had the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on! The pool was a good size for children, we had 13 with us. It was perfect for entertaining from ages 3-60! The beach is very close, literally walking distance. And we really enjoyed the local restaurants right around the corner. We were looking for a relaxing beach vacation, and that’s just what we got. I 100% recommend this home and look forward to our next stay!

Our large family stayed in this home for our annual spring trip. We have five families with 13 kids, 13 and under. It was a wonderful long weekend in a beautiful home. The home is an easy walk to the beach and in a prime Oak Island location. The home is well stocked and well cared for. It was very clean upon arrival and the online description and photos were accurate. We enjoyed the large kitchen and were thankful for all of the seating at meal times. The king beds were comfortable for the adults and the layout of the rooms and bathrooms served our large family well keeping kids close to their parents. The outdoor areas were lovely although the weather didn’t give us much outside time. The owner replied quickly to questions and was very accommodating. It was a great home that we would highly recommend.

House is plenty big enough for 21 adults. Kitchen is big enough with two large fridges and a large stove. Great location close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Plenty of seating for everyone! The pool is amazing and it’s just a short walk to the beach. We have been doing this trip for awhile now and this was our favorite place by far. The only complaints were the washer is extremely loud when in use (sleeping kids there) and other than the master beds, all the other ones were pretty uncomfortable. A few new mattresses and this place would have no flaws.

Sand Castle is a great rental for a large group beach vacation. It’s very clean, well maintained, and the best stocked house we’ve ever rented. It’s easily walkable to the beach, but we were glad that we rented a golf cart because we were carrying a tent, chairs and other beach gear. If you’re considering Oak Island for your beach getaway, you can’t go wrong with Sand Castle, and Larry is a very welcoming host!
