Nestled in Canyon Lake, this lovely house for R 12,269 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. For a real simple vacation, book your stay at Reel Simple! This 2,500 square foot home adequately accommodates up to 12 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The living area provides great views of the river, comfortable seating and lounge space for visiting, movie watching, games, and more, as well as a big cable/smart TV for your viewing pleasure. The kitchen is as big as Texas, complete with dining and cooking essentials, bar seating for 5 and dining seating for 6-8. The master suite includes a king-size bed and deck access as well as an attached bath that features a garden tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom includes a king-size bed and HDTV. The third bedroom includes a full bed as well as twin/double bunk beds. Around the corner, you'll find the second full bathroom. The fourth bedroom is perfect for the kids as it features 2 twin/queen beds and plenty of room for them to play. Then there is the outdoors. Shady and cooler than you'd expect on those hot summer days! Deck space is abundant at Reel Simple. Take your pick of fun activities- grill and chill; cook s'mores on the firepit; relax in the hot tub overlooking the Guadalupe; swim, float, kayak or fish. The August scorching heat limited our time outdoors to the morning hours when we sat out on upper deck to enjoy the heavily shaded back, and the river, which surprisingly contained water at this location. So, spending most of the time indoors was just fine. The home is quite comfortable, and had all we needed to stay put and do some binge watching.

Reel Simple a a wonderful rental. The river view is beautiful with plenty of awesome deck space to hang out. The hot tub was relaxing. The inside of the home is clean, has a great layout for a big group, and access to streaming services was appreciated. The home location is close to the lake and other river access points as well as Gruene and New Braunfels. We truly relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that we could not use the kayaks. Pics of the home on VRBO show kayaks, so we made the mistake of assuming they were for guest use.
Regardless, we had a wonderful time and would recommend staying at Reel Simple!

Our family had the most wonderful time @ Reel Simple. The house is absolutely beautiful and plenty of room for all of us. There were 11 of us, all adults and 1 toddler. If you are looking for a family gathering, this is your place. The outside decks were very nice as well. We spent time on each level and did a little fishing too.

We had a great time. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking. The backyard and decks provided a lot of space for hanging out. We went into the river, it was cold but refreshing. We will definitely come back!

This was our second time staying here and our stay was amazing! They have made improvements to the bottom deck and entrance to the water and it is awesome! The house is so comfortable and the AC works great! Kitchen is huge and great for a big family!!

The property was quite, beautiful and open to the outdoors!
The living room was filled with light from the large windows and had plenty of cozy seating to talk and relax. The porch was expansive and had several areas to sit and enjoy the view.
The location of the property was the perfect spot between shopping in Wimberely, dancing in Gruene, or the many other nature attractions in the area. I loved the fact that there were so many comfortable beds and areas for privacy when needed.
Would recommend for families or women's retreat.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It has wonderful views and a fun vibe. There is plenty of room, and the unique house is very comfortable in every way. Our group had a blast! The surrounding area is quiet and relaxing. -just a perfect location for what we needed. After the hectic wedding activities, this was a wonderful location to come back to to enjoy being with each other,..visiting and enjoying the scenery of the river and nature. We highly recommend a visit!!

We had a fantastic visit at Reel Simple. The house was a great size for our 8 person group (beds to spare), and the living space provided plenty of room to congregate and enjoy each other's company. Great accomodations and exceptional service from Vacay Hill Country throughout the booking process, all the way through post-visit follow-up. Would highly recommend properties managed by this company!

The home was amazing. A beautiful view of the river from a multi level yard. The lay out was perfect for our group of ladies
The interior of the house was beautiful and clean. It had a bedroom off to the back that slept several people so it was great for our younger ladies.
We floated the river and we’re hoping to reach White water but it was to far away. It would have taken at least 5hours . We ended up getting out and and heading back to the house. Our evening ended with a dip in the hot tub.
Highly recommend this home.

Perfect relaxing getaway!
This was the perfect place for relaxing! We were able to unplug, unwind, and enjoy our boys and our friends and their boys. We enjoyed swimming, playing board games and cornhole. The boys enjoyed having their own space away from the parents at times. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some great meals and not have to eat out every day. The view of the river from all the different levels of the deck was beautiful! We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the river and drinking our coffee each morning. Everything was perfect and can’t wait to visit again!

Two bathrooms weren't a problem and kitchen was stocked with more than enough utensils, pots, pans and bowls, glasses, etc.. After reading previous reviews we brought our own spices and condiments as well as coffee items. The multiple deck areas provided morning and evening relaxing areas to watch wildlife and also keep an eye on kids. Customer service was awesome with friendly and quick responses!! Will recommend to others and plan to stay again.

It is a beautiful place and view. Please be aware there is construction happening in the backyard. I booked this in January for an April stay and was never informed that there was construction in the backyard. We were unable to get into the house for over 1/2 hour because construction trucks were in the driveway. The construction crew stated that they were not informed of our stay. They tried to clean up, and had to put part of the fence back up. The construction made the fire pit area unusable. Just be aware that this is going on and ask questions before you book.

This house is so nice and so clean! Everything was great! We have no complaints.
We have a few tips for the next guests that would have made our stay just a little better:
1. Download the sonos app on your phone to control the outdoor speakers. The small boxes below the TV is what works them.
2. Bring your own spices, salt and pepper.
That's about it!

Beautiful Home and Great Location
Reel Simple is absolutely beautiful! The view from the any of the 3 levels of the deck are peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the top level of the deck and sitting around the fire pit in the afternoon on the second level. The slide into the river was a nice surprise! We were in town to go to a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater and this was a perfect location. We will definitely be bringing the kids back with us to Reel Simple!
Also, the property manager was so nice and available for anything we may have needed!
