Nestled in Montauk, this attractive house for R 16,711 per night is a great choice for your next trip. WALK TO THE BEACH- never deal with limited or restricted beach parking. Bike or walk to the beach throughout the day. Enjoy a beach bonfire or the backyard fire pit at night. Home work space. OUR CLEANING CREW CLEANS AND DISINFECTS TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS. Weekly cleanings are required for any stay longer than one week. Super cool 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home located next to a nature preserve on a very quiet street just 3 short blocks from the great Ditch Plains family/surf beach. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Use your car to drop your gear on the beach and then walk or ride your bike to the beach at your convenience- no hassles with beach permits or cars. Great for kids since many in the area walk to beach on their own. Enjoy evening sunsets on the deck, bonfires on the beach just steps from your house, or cozy up in the private back yard and fire up the fantastic Chiminea for your roasted marshmallows. The home features a luxurious Spa master bath that includes a open air rainhead shower, cast iron jacuzzi tub, heated towel warmer, Dornbracht fixtures, defogged mirror, radiant heat floor, and skylights. Additional private deck off the master bedroom with easy access to the outdoor shower. Large open floor plan on second floor with 12 foot ceilings containing the living and dining areas, chef's kitchen, and three 12 foot sliders with forever views, including a distant ocean vista. The 12 foot sliders access the wraparound outdoor deck containing the teak dining table, the lounge furniture (seating for 8+) and, of course, a Weber Gas Grill. Four bicycles, a beach wagon, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a beach cooler included. Recent upgrade to furniture reflected in the photos. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations permitted with a 10% fee plus the amount of any revenue shortfall from a successful re-renting. Shabby furniture, only sofa in the upper level was an eyesore and so old that it had no cushion left, so it was like sitting on the floor. The Apple TV didnt work, despite spending almost an hour on the phone with the owner who apologized but couldn't get it to work. THE outdoor shower was moldy and had green stuff growing inside, so we didnt use it. Kitchen was poorly supplied - no salad spinner, no large serving platters, only one big bowl. I ended up buying a salad spinner and leaving it there for the next tenant. And no items like tin foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags to store food, all of which I bought and took home. All furnishings appeared to be collection of different tag sales. White umbrella on deck had green mold on it. Outdoor cushions on lounge were stained. Finall, there was a basement area locked off and not part of the rental, apparently. The first day we were there, a woman came to clean that part of the house. She just let herself in while we were upstairs, n notice or warning to us. Very inappropriate to do this without telling us. Would never recommned this house to anyone, adn it was another example of why we shouldnt ever use VRBO. IT was the second time we've used it that property was not as advertised.

The stay was wonderful at Ditch Plains Beach, we arrived and the house was clean and accurately depicted. It ended up being nicer than expected. Loved the location, as it is just a couple of minutes walk to the beach in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Would recommend!

Beautiful house on Montauk. All the beddings and towels were white and super clean! The kitchen, dining and deck was clean and great for breakfast gatherings. We went outside for dinner and it’s super close to many nice restaurants around montauk. Communication with the host was quick. Overall a wonderful stay with me and my friends!

Montauk Stay
The house was everything that was advertised. Very clean and the owner was very responsive. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Proximity to the beach was just a short walk. It also very close to town. Some minor criticisms are at these price points I believe there should of been paper towels available not just a starter kit. The outdoor coach had stains on it. Also, there should be more than 3-4 beach towels available as it is a four bedroom house. Overall a great stay and I would recommend.

Perfect Beach Getaway

An easy walk to unspoiled Ditch Plains beach, this house was perfect inside and out. Nestled on the side of a nature preserve we looked out on woodlands and enjoyed morning bird songs with a distant view of the ocean. Large yard was naturally landscaped, comfortable lounges for catching the afternoon sun, chimera for nighttime outdoor fire. Outdoor shower, plenty of beach gear (cooler, bicycles, chairs, umbrella) completed all you could need. Outdoor staircase leads to either first or second floor of the house.
Inside, the house is open, light, airy and beautifully decorated. Main part of the house is a 2nd floor open floor plan - kitchen, dining area and living room. Walls are whitewashed with contrasting grey wood floors. 3 wraparound double slider doors bring the light and breezes in. This large area is further complimented by vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a beautiful fireplace that was a safe and easy to use. Large, wraparound outdoor deck catches morning and afternoon sun - perfect for A.M. coffee or evening cocktails. Outdoor space is furnished with very comfortable L-shaped couch, dining table and large gas grill. Kitchen is nicely equipped, large porcelain floor tiles, striking soapstone counter tops and deep farmhouse sink. Furniture and decor is obviously chosen with care, smart design and many unexpected lovely touches.
First floor houses the master bedroom and 3 additional bedrooms - each more lovely than the next. Our favorite was a riff on the house architecture - vaulted ceiling, skylights, pristine white walls, and warm wood trim. All bedrooms were simply but tastefully decorated, exceptionally soft linens, plush towels, ample closet space in every bedroom, washer/dryer easily accessible and 2nd bathroom with rainforest showerhead. The master bedroom is its own private, soothing oasis. Large double slider leads out to a private deck with table and chairs, shades to let sun in only when you are ready, very comfortable bed, 2 large closet, large dresser, and tv. Stunning spa like bathroom built to spoil you - smooth porcelain tiles throughout, spa tub, rain forest showerhead, skylight, towel warmer, and heated floor.
House was spotlessly clean when we arrived, check-in easy, and our hosts were very accessible and accommodating.

The house was perfect! The beach was a short walk. The owner was quick to respond with any questions. I honestly did not want to leave. We had the most beautiful weather for April while there. Soooo peaceful, it was a great much needed escape from reality.

The perfect beach house
We had a wonderful stay here! The house is spacious, clean, light and airy and is just a few blocks walk from a beautiful ocean beach. On the upper floor there is a well equipped kitchen with skylights and open plan dining and living room area with a fireplace. Also a wonderful deck from which we could hear - though not quite see- the surf. It was too cold for us to eat out there but we did bundle up and sit out in the sun. On the lower floor there are four bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable and the master bathroom was the best bathroom we have ever seen! Heated floors, a great shower and a large soaking tub from which you can gaze up through two large skylights. We definitely hope to return!

The property is clean, chic, comfortable and relaxing. Everyone had enough space to themselves, and when we came together to sit and talk in front of the fire or play games at the table it was lovely to watch to snow fall outside and feel cozy inside. Mike is a very responsive host.

We really enjoyed our stay - the house is spacious, clean, comfortable and has a great layout. Lots of outdoor space and a super short walk to the beach, which was a spectacular way to start the day. Owner is extremely responsive. Looking forward to returning!

Great Ditch Beach House
Overall we had a great stay. The house and yard are large, master bathroom is great -- especially loved the shower and jacuzzi tub. We also really enjoyed the deck, and of course it's an easy walk to the beach. Only negatives are that the furnishings are a bit on the older side, and somewhat uncomfortable. Also, the cleaning staff also were late in turning the house over to us, but apparently someone had rented the house for a full month before us, so that's understandable. All in all, would definitely recommend.

Love Ditch!
Perfect! We have been coming to MTK for nearly 30 years. First time we rented a house and this house was just right! Love the laid back vibe of Ditch Plains and it was so nice to walk or ride bikes to the beach. House is as pictured or better! The property is lovely. The air smells like honeysuckle and the sea. Owner was extremely responsive and professional. We will definitely be back!
