Stayed here with my daughter and a friend. We are all college educated yet the instructions for the hot water were horrible. In the guest book, this was the number one complaint as it sometimes took us 3 to 4 tries to get it to work and for a tankless system this was horrible not to mention the amount of water that was wasted letting it run. A plumber's wife left her husband's suggestion to easily fix it months ago. Beds are quiet soft and need to be replaced and kitchen floor needs some support. Also there was not enough coffee for us - mostly teas were left from the 2 boxes in the cabinet and only 4 artificial sweetners. Grill was horribly rusted but was "cleaned" in 2 days. Sadly the chipmunk who lived in the yard was dead on the back porch and we then choose not to use it. House is conviently located to YNP and the area is very quiet. I appreciated not having to strip the beds, etc.

This cabin was perfect for four people to stay and visit Yellowstone for several nights. The beds were very comfy and there were plenty of blankets and towels. We appreciated all the basics stocked in the kitchen and the extra bear spray! The location was perfect for us to grab coffees on the way to the park and grab dinner on the way back. Brenda was a great host, and was even kind enough to help us recover jackets we left behind.

House was clean as expected, and kitchen was very useful when traveling with kids. I also liked the fact that every small things were thought of and taken care of. For example, 3 umbrellas were so useful with unexpected rains in summer. Bear sprays, cooler, a raincoat and so many other items I did not expect but glad that they were handy.

This property was so conveniently located to Yellowstone National Park and to the stores and restaurants in West Yellowstone! Very clean & well kept. Most things you need are provided. It was perfect for our family of 4. Host is very responsive and even left us a nice hand written note & treat…nice touch!

The property met and surpasses the description in VRBO. It was is a great location with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and the park. But the thing that stood out to me was all the extras the host went to the trouble of providing; extras that were not apparent in the property advertisement but made our stay that much more enjoyable. From a stand-alone ice maker to bathroom supplies to a fully stocked coffee station to extra conveniences at every turn. My only explanation is because the host is just super nice. I’d stay again and highly recommend it to you as well.

It was prefect for our family get together. We met our daughter and her family from Great Falls and spent the next 2 days touring Yellowstone Park. The house was well equipped for our needs, close to The park entrance, restaurants, stores and other activities. Except for the on demand water issue it was a great vacation house and even with that we figured it out and was not a problem. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Sue

We corresponded with the owner a few times before & during our stay and she was quick to reply and friendly. The house met all of our needs and we were essentially there only to sleep and cook. The kitchen is very well stocked & has a community cabinet. The beds are both squeaky and low, so if you're a light sleeper or have knee issues, be prepared. It was the easiest check out protocol we've ever had. Thanks for a great stay (and the jam)!

Great kitchen with all you need! Even K-cups and a pancake griddle. Beds could use new mattresses and kitchen floor needs some support, but overall the house was well equipped, warm, and welcoming with all we needed to enjoy our stay! Quick responses from host when we had questions too.

The Firehole Cottage had everything our family needed while visiting Yellowstone National Park. The cottage was well stocked and had everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The cottage is in a quiet park of the town, but still close enough to main area with all the restaurants and shops. Great place to relax after a long day in the park. Especially appreciated the washer and dryer. Super clean, beds were comfortable and we would definitely stay here again.

Basic 2 bedroom home very close to YNP entrance. Owner answered immediately when we contacted her. Would stay again. Our only complaint was that the living room furniture was old, worn out and uncomfortable.

Very beautiful house hosted by a quite a responsive and friendly host. The host kept it quite well stocked with the everyday needs. I and my wife loved the selection of Keurig coffee pods. There was some issue with hot water, happened twice during our stay. But after waiting for 5 mins or so, it sorted out. We loved the stay, if we came to yellowstone again, we will like to stay here again.

The house was a good size for the 4 of us. Very close to west entrance of the park, which we loved. We had a fan for each bedroom, which kept us cool at night.

This was a great home base for my husband, 10-year-old daughter, and I for our visit to Yellowstone. There was plenty of space for us all to relax and unwind. We cooked some meals in the fully-stocked kitchen and had a couple of restaurants deliver. Being able to pull-up to the porch was an added bonus as we had plenty of luggage.

We enjoyed our stay here, and Brenda was a good host. Our one problem was the hot water — there was a note explaining how to work around the sensor, but it was still awkward. Hopefully she’ll get that resolved; otherwise, we enjoyed this comfortable place.

This is one of the most well stocked homes we've ever rented. Brenda has a gift for hospitality and has thought of everything-- from common condiments in the fridge to laundry baskets in each room for dirty clothes. The location can't be beat for a Yellowstone trip. The house was super clean and convenient. My husband and I stayed here with our three children (ages 7, 9 and 11) and we had plenty of room. Book it now! You won't be disappointed!

The rental was immaculate. There are a lot of little touches that make you feel so welcome. This is the only place I have ever rented that included a handwritten welcome card and jar of local huckleberry jam from the owner. It has everything you need.

Had a wonderful stay. Lots of room, you get to park right next to the door. We were welcomed with a personal note and some wonderful local huckleberry jam. Thank you Brenda. Place was super close to downtown area and only 5 minutes or less to the West Entrance of Yellowstone. So easy. Highly recommend staying here. Clean, Beds were spring mattresses and a little worn but still slept well. Very nice to have a washer and dryer. Hot water takes a bit to kick in, but it is a endless hot water system so no worries on back to back showers. We were a party of 3 and had no issues. While in West Yellowstone if you have the time highly recommend visiting the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and going on a horseback ride with a dinner cookout at Eagle Ridge Ranch. It’s about a 35 minute southwest drive from West Yellowstone to Island Park, ID but so worth it. For some wonderful ice cream, coffee and fantastic paninis visit the Expresso and Ice Cream House and stop by the clothing shop attached they have good quality and a wide variety.

We truly enjoyed our time at the Firehole Cottage. We celebrated my Ma’s 70th birthday and Brenda even had a birthday banner hanging up when we arrived. There was a weather forecast on the refrigerator which was also a nice touch. The cottage met all of our needs! We’d definitely stay again.
