We're repeat visitors for a reason; this old house has the best vibes ever. We love the seclusion and the surrounding land. Needless to say, we're already planning another visit.

The house was just a described. A Secluded rustic farmhouse. It was perfect, we had privacy room for our big dogs to play and plenty of land for the teens to explore and hike when not at the lake .

The property is beautiful and the house has everything you need for your stay. The location is pretty remote so it is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Another bonus is that the property is pet friendly and my 2 dogs had a great time as well! Would absolutely go back.

The property was great, loved the historic home! However, when we arrived, it was pouring outside, when we got into the house the roof was leaking above the A/C in the sunroom. We were not happy that the kitchen was less than clean and there were cobwebs in the cabinets with the dishes. Many of the dishes/flatware we used had to be washed first, the tables clothes were dirty and the chairs in the kitchen are a hazard. The front of the refrigerator and handle was disgusting! The window blinds are gross and the windows in the sunroom are very dirty. The furniture in the tv room is so bad and uncomfortable we could not sit in there. It was hot upstairs and there are rooms that don't have any electric outlets for lamps, alarm clocks or fans. Not enough towels for 10 people, and the shower size is adequate for a child. I was really hoping that the house would work out as we have the family gathering yearly but sadly not.

Our time at the Colbert Farm was amazing! We spent it all outside, playing Cornhole and enjoying a nice campfire. The Colbert’s have a very beautiful place, highly recommend!

It was a very nice place. We were a little shocked that the number of beds. The description said 2 rooms had 2 beds and there was only 1 in each room. Overall we enjoyed the house. It was beautiful!

It was really nice having the family together to relax off grid. We found the farmhouse charming and it had everything we needed. Thank you so much!

If you're looking for a quiet and remote place to stay, look no further. This is a clean, comfortable, older home, and almost everything in the home is old, but everything works and it is clean! Spotty cell service so a great place to be "off the grid" and enjoy the peace and quiet. Large families will benefit from the large dining room table and four bedrooms. We will definitely try to book this home again the next time we're in the area.

Owner was quick responding when we had an issue with the dryer. Got it working ASAP for us. We did not experience any issues with stinkbugs. All our rooms were pest free and comfortable.

We were told the door would be open and to just go right inside upon arrival. The door was in fact locked and we could not get ahold of the owners after many attempted calls on both listed numbers and an email. It took over 2 hours for them to finally let us inside which was very frustrating after driving 3 hours just to get to the Vrbo home to then wait in the car even longer with our dogs with no idea what was going on. We got inside and the upstairs bedrooms were infested with stink bugs, literally hundreds of them. They were everywhere on the walls, windows, beds and curtains. We chose not to even stay there due to so many issues from the moment we arrived. It was a total inconvenience from beginning to end and we were left with nowhere to stay at 7:00 at night scrambling to find somewhere for my husband and our dogs to stay last minute and it became an incredibly stressful trip and would not recommend.

Family really enjoyed the stay. Our phones did not have service most of the time and the hot spot did not work for us. Harold said a tower is getting put in soon so hopefully that will help. It was a nice disconnect from the hustle and bustle.

We needed a property that allowed us to do outdoor activities. Great fire pit, pavilion with picnic tables, new grill and lots of land to play on. The house is cozy and perfect for a larger group. The kitchen is very well stocked.
We would love to return someday.

I've been searching for a truly secluded getaway for years. Many listing state that it's "secluded" and upon arrival I discover that IT IS NOT! This listing was perfect! The quiet setting, beautiful surroundings and sounds of nature were calming. There is no internet, and my phone had no service but that added to my much needed break from my crazy life. I would recommend this stay to anyone who needs to unplug.

The farmhouse was beautiful and well taken care of inside and out. Loved the fire pit with wooden benches around it. Plenty of room for the grandkids to play. They also enjoyed the sunroom and all the activities for them. Also liked being secluded and the road had no traffic. Would highly recommend anyone thst likes woods and seclusion to rent this property. We decided as a family that we will be returning next year for another fun- filled weekend.

I gave it the rating I did because it could have been cleaner and it listed a washer and dryer and a grill. This place didn't have any of these. One meal planned was for on the grill. Also it listed one room as having 2 beds and all rooms had one bed in them. Don't get me wrong we did enjoy our stay

We loved our stay! We meant the owner and his cleaning lady, they both were very nice and helpful. We rented the farmhouse for our yearly hunting trip. There were 10 of us in our family trip. The bedrooms are good sizes. Huge dining area table that fit all of us. A lot of charm as it is and old farmhouse. Nice and close to Trough Creek State Forrest where we go hunting. I would definitely rent it again for our hunting trip next year if we don’t buy our own property around there. Only thing I can say that we had trouble with is cell phone service and no WiFi to be able to check on my elderly parents while we were away. Other than that it was perfect. Thank you for renting this beautiful property to us.

My two daughters and I, along with my large dog, enjoyed a getaway to celebrate Thanksgiving (and an early Christmas!). We had plenty of room to set up a small Christmas tree in the sunroom and enjoyed a traditional meal in the kitchen. It was fun to find dishes to use, as there was such a variety! This farmhouse was warm and cozy. The heat and hot water worked well, and the fireplace was my favorite! We will definitely return for another getaway!

The owners are great and can provide some interesting history for a house built in 1887. The place was clean , but has the expected issues of an authentic old home. The beds were very comfortable, good hot water and good water pressure, heat works well, and great fireplace. Great to accommodate larger families. New grill and large firepit. Not a lot of hiking opportunities or places of immediate interest. Appliances and furnishing a bit outdated, but functional. There is no or very little cell or internet service.

This was a very cozy base for our hiking experience. The hosts were attentive and provided a great warm experience for our stay. I highly recommend this property!

The farmhouse has tons of space and the bathrooms are sparkling clean! Plenty of towels, chairs, linens, everything you need for a relaxing weekend of playing games and sitting around the campfire. The 2 picnic tables with an awning over them and a new propane grill are perfect for outdoor dining. The only drawback are the bugs in the southern facing bedrooms. It's an old farmhouse and that comes with some quirks, including some stinkbugs. We vacuumed them up and had a pleasant stay. Thank you to Harold who had to come unlock the front door when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We had a lovely weekend!

Our family with three kids (9, 11, and 13) and also two grandparents enjoyed our stay. We cooked using the fire pit and welcomed the shaded picnic area as we teamed up and played corn hole. The window A/C units kept the house comfortable and we also could have used the box fans provided if we wanted. We all were used to an old farmhouse and understood the quirks that come with it - unfinished basement, skeleton key and door knobs, some floor slants and imperfections. The multiple bedrooms and bathroom set up worked well for us. We even had one sleeping out in the sunroom on the futon. The kitchen has a menagerie of items to work with and are well used and they even had cookers to use at the fire pit. The living room was comfortable with several recliners/couches. We did not get good cell phone signal, but the booster in the sunroom helped me get enough bars to do a quick search. I had better luck with service when we were in town at Huntingdon.

We enjoyed our time at the estate! Harold was very accommodating and understanding. The property was just as stated. I traveled in a group that consisted of my parents, my sister and her family, and my family staying there. There were enough beds for all of us with my son sleeping on the couch. The kitchen was fully stocked and plenty of towels for all of us. We loved the big table that we could all sit down together and eat. The campfire circle was another added bonus that we enjoyed. It was peaceful and quiet for all of us to enjoy the long weekend together. Thank you Harold and Judy!

I'm at the Colbert farm house. Everything was as stated and it was very peaceful. A house was Charming It gave you that old farmhouse feel. Everything we needed was available and the property was beautiful. Giving you all the firewood you need was a wonderful addition and we enjoyed the evenings around the fire pit. The kids loved running through the different doorways of the Charming farmhouse. We would not hesitate to take another vacation

Overall experience was great! The property is private and it was nice that there was a firepit and wood provided as well as covered picnic tables. The only issue we had were a few stink bugs and a couple of wasps. Would definitely stay again though!
