From the date of my payment, March 8, to the date of our stay, commencing July 20, we heard nothing whatsoever from the owners, despite their statement in the acceptance. "I'll be in touch with more details before you arrive". We flew to Portland on July 20. arriving approximately 3:30PM. We took a taxi to the site, arriving a little after 4PM. There was a knocker, which we tried several times, with no response. There was a transparent plastic container which was empty other than what looked like spider webs. There was no sign of life in the building and no instructions that we could find. After a while we decided we had no choice but to find another place to stay. My companion looked at several hotel sites on her cell phone and we found a place to stay. She called for a Uber at 4:47 PM and we left. After we checked in at the hotel and I had WiFi access I found 2 Emails on my tablet with messages from the owner wondering where we were and telling us that they tried to call me. They only had my home phone, and I learned when I got back home that they called starting at 11AM on Saturday. Obviously flying from Tucson via Salt Lake City, we had to leave much earlier than that. They asked why I hadn't called them. Of course, they had never given me a phone number so there was no way I could call.
I have requested a refund from the owners. They have declined.

Perfect
Visited my family during Thanksgiving. I needed a corkscrew. Found it. Needed a roasting pan. They had it. Mixing bowls? Got it! Coffee? Done. (French press or drip) Rupert and Scott took such great care of me! Through every detail in the apartment to responding to last minute questions. I couldn’t figure out the key and Rupert rolled up 2 minutes later. Great place; great location. Would def def def stay here again!!

Very nicely appointed place!
Loved it here. Great for our weekend in Portland. Quiet. Lovely space! Very well setup for cooking, etc. Even had a French press for coffee! There’s a coffee pot too, but we like a press. Definitely will be staying again!

The Kinley Manor was perfect for us!
We were in town for a convention, I usually stay at a local hotel. This year, I wanted to try something different. The Kinley Manor was clean, cute and the owners were wonderful. A major grocery store is very nearby, as are great restaurants and it's an easy walk to the Convention Center. Thank you--Thank you! Will definitely return. :)
