We stayed for two nights and found the house to be charming and comfortable. The location is short walking distance from great coffee and eats and treats.
Mischa was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Check-in instructions were clear. We would stay here again.

The host is very easy to work with and has great communication. House had everything we needed for our stay.
We did not realize the train/rail tracks are on the other side of the back fence. For our family, this was too noisy even with windows closed. Also, the king size bed is comfy but very noisy.

This place was perfect for what we needed. It was super close to family we were visiting and walking distance to some great businesses- a bakery, coffee place, and donut shop (all delicious!). Kinda funny layout because it's behind a business but up against the railroad. The train didn't bother us (and we even had a baby and toddler), but we brought white noise. It only made me a little nervous with the little one so interested in watching the train and the parking being close enough that he could run over to the train tracks if not properly supervised. We didn't have to contact Mischa while we were there but felt like we could if we needed to. Would totally stay here again.

Early Summer trip
Wonderful location for a Sacramento adventure! Everything was just as described and perfectly central to all diversions in Sacramento. Very clean and tidy inside. Within walking distance to many great shops and restaurants, but also had convenient parking for going about in our rental car. Curtis Park is my favorite neighborhood in Sac, great for neighborhood strolls. I will definitely rebook when we return in the future!

Very comfortable!
The property was very comfortable & in a great location. We enjoyed it so much more than staying in a hotel. The home was clean & stocked with all we needed & beautifully kept. We would definitely stay there again.

This nice Curtis Park rental was perfect for my weekend needs. Tucked back from the street behind a cute picket fence gate was a 2-story, 2 BR, 1.5 Bath home. Located in a mixed business/residential area, this quaint home had a lovely entry of roses and plants partially hiding the front of the house. There was no significant traffic noise and there is plentiful parking nearby.
Inside, there is a thoughtful, comfortable living area with large dining room and table. The kitchen has been remodeled with a professional stove and nice appliances. It is clean and well-appointed with kitchen items guests would appreciate for their cooking and eating needs. There was a large laundry room with a nice washer and dryer, and a half bath near the kitchen. There are many windows and lots of daylight!
Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms and a full bath.
The location is handy to the nearby Safeway and restaurants, as well as to the Land Park area and Sacramento zoo. I highly recommend this for a couple, or a couple with older kids. It is not ideal for babies or toddlers.

Now, let’s get to the location! You are literally walking distance (like 800-900 feet) to one of the best butcher shops, donut shops and bakeries in Sacramento! You’re also .5 mile away from one of the best taprooms (Hop Gardens) in Sacramento.
Anytime we have people visiting from out of town, we’ll recommend Mischa’s house from now on!

We stayed in Mischa’s house for a week while our floors were refinished. The house was very clean! Let’s be real here, we’ve all stayed at vrbo’s with little to no paper towels, sponges, toilet paper, cooking utensils and spices. This house exceeded all expectations of being stocked!
Do note there are stairs! Not a biggie at all and they were easy to maneuver. Our 3 year old did great on them. Also, the property backs up against railroad tracks - you only hear the train if you accidentally leave the bathroom window open at night.

Stayed for a concert in Sac. Was able to walk to the venue. Place was perfect.

It was all good besides the mouse on the stove, that scared all of us to death. I had to throw away my granddaughters cake away, that I had left on the table, I’m sure the mouse had at Amherst. I asked for a full days refund, but only got refunded $100. My cake was $120, the stay was a lil over $200 a day.

Home away from home
Staying at Mischa's rental home was a wonderful experience. The house was lovely, clean, with a fully-equipped, modern kitchen, wonderfully air-conditioned, and the neighborhood was peaceful. It was the little "hide-a-way" we were looking for. It is up against the train tracks, but we really only noticed it the 1st time it passed. I like that the door was off the street for extra privacy, Mischa left wonderful, detailed instructions, responded quickly to every inquiry, and left us "welcome" treats. We would definitely stay here again - we didn't want to leave! Thanks so much!

Spacious and Convenient
Pros:
This is a good sized rental for two couples. It's only half a mile from midtown and close to Broadway. The living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, and laundry area are large enough to be comfortable. Seating in the living room is one couch and two armchairs. There's room for two cars to park out front. We visited in December and used the heat. There's a dual system, one for upstairs and one for downstairs and it worked well. The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled, which is a real plus in these older homes. The location felt safe and it was easy to get in and out. There are lots of movies and a few games.
Cons:
The house is about 10 yards from the railroad tracks, which are used by both the lightrail and freight trains. There wasn't a problem with train horns thankfully, but you will hear (and sometimes feel) the rumble as they pass during the day and night. Although you're close to midtown, if you're on foot, you have to walk under the highway to get there. There's only one shower, upstairs in a small bathroom, which was the only real cramped space. The box springs for the king mattess is very loud and that combined with the trains was enough to disturb my sleep. If you're a good sleeper, you might not notice.

Comfortable place.
This rental was spacious and has a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen. The trains were never even an issue for me...it is on a busy street but set back a bit so that wasn't a problem either. Walking distance to Freeport Bakery!

Cute, clean property.
The property was nice, cute and very clean! House had a very homey feel. When we first got there and noticed the train ran right there I thought it was going to be annoying, but I hardly noticed it. It was not super close to anything we did, but it was out of the hustle and bustle and wasn’t too long of a ride to get there. We really enjoyed our stay!

Pleasant and spacious
We needed a home for my big family as we were attending a memorial service for our brother. The home was beautiful and well kept. Plenty of room to give everyone their own space. The neighborhood was amazing and we enjoyed our short walks. The location was close to downtown for the multiple trips we had to make, made for great convenience. Would have liked more towels for us during the stay, we had to ration them. There is a washer and dryer, if we had more time we would have done a load. Overall, it was a lovely stay .. we felt very comfortable and would stay again.

Great for families
This is the second time we rented this home while visiting family. It’s a good sized space for a small family and the spacious kitchen and amenities like free fruit make it extra special. I would definitely stay here again.

Neat house, great location
This was our second visit to this sweet house near Land Park and downtown. It was fun to see more kitchen stuff and the DVD collection added since our last visit. The house is clean, very private, and comfortable. Owner is friendly and responsive. We had a great time visiting nearby family, trying all the local ice cream, watching the trains, exploring Land Park’s fun places, and smelling the amazing roses! See you next time!

Beautiful two bedroom
Beautiful two bedroom with lots of character. Updated kitchen and laundry, very close to a gourmet grocery store. Nearby train tracks but the trains sound more like white noise. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location for me.
Great coffee and a wonderful market half a block away. Off street parking. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Our daughter and her husband live very close by, so this was an ideal location for me over Christmas. The heating was fixed and it was lovely and warm. Good washing machine and dryer. Had everything I needed.

A very nicely appointed place
We were a bit concerned with the location close to a main road and railroad tracks. The first thing you notice about that once there is that there is no noise from outside thanks to double insulated windows :). The rooms were all nicely furnished and the kitchen is beautiful. We would have given 5 stars if Mischa and his wife would add a few simple things to the kitchen supply. 5 stars for me would be like "Oh my gosh it is impossible to improve on". Both my wife and I like to cook and the stove is a chef's dream. A power bar next to the bed on both sides would make charging devices in this information age really nice. I forgot to tell Mischa, but I bet he adds it after he reads this. He and his wife are both kind and caring and will doubtless look at this and do something about that. We hope to stay there again next year when we visit our family for our annual trip.
If you like to walk you are away from the center of the city so lots of pretty area to explore but close enough to reach everything.
