Once again Annegret and Jimmy have given our family a most memorable and amazing experience at River Rock Cottage! Their home offers a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere inside and out. Stunning views of the property, beautifully appointed home, and fully stocked kitchen. You'll find everything exactly as described in the listing. The Shaw's go above and beyond to make sure guests are welcomed and comfortable. If your looking for a little piece of paradise, this property is exactly that! We have stayed every summer for several years and will definitely continue to do so! Thank you again Jimmy and Annegret! You are absolutely amazing!!!!

This is our second stay here, first time was 2016. It’s a magical experience. The second time seems more magical than the first because we already know we had a good time the first time. And having pictures of our kids 6 years ago & today. This place is amazing, the pool is pretty big & in the sun (stayed at a rental where the pool is always shaded due to the trees, not the same at all). The rental is on a massive property allowing for nice walks. This place has an outdoor shower which added to the experience. Showering with the sounds of birds and nature all around us. There are many different seating areas, a place where we can have a bonfire, a fish pond, nicely decorated, indoors & outdoors. You can even see the stars on a clear night. Definitely did not disappoint, this place is amazing & the owners are lucky to own such a beautiful place, The only downfall is that there is only one bathroom that is shared by our whole family.

This house, property and hosts were incredible. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere in your own little world. The house was clean and had everything you could ever need for a stay. The outdoors were amazing with huge trees, a great pool, and multiple places to relax. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all and relax with family and friends, this is it!

Man did we enjoyed our stay! Plan on booking again when in the area. The house was beautiful in and out. Clean, spacious and full of entertainment. We have a no electronics rule while on vacation and our family was able to disconnect and enjoy the amenities. The pool was clean, with many floats available. The grounds were well kept. Loved using the trampoline, playhouse, the many seating areas, the swing and hammock, and the grassy areas; also the fish pond was nice to look at. The kitchen was well equipped, had everything we needed! And finally the welcome treats left on the counter were a family favorite. Thank you! We will be back

Adored this cottage! Communication with the property owner was fantastic. We had everything we needed for a fantastic family Memorial Day weekend. Just outside the city but felt completely off the grid. Exactly what we wanted. It was perfect.

Part of the reason we booked this place was to enjoy the spa/hot tub that is specifically mentioned in the listing description, as well as shown in photos. It wasn't until we arrived and contacted the owner to ask how to work the hot tub, that we were told it doesn't work and never has. That was very disappointing, and feels pretty dishonest to advertise a "spa" in your listing when it doesn't even work. Otherwise, the house was good overall and we enjoyed our stay. The outdoor areas in particular are lovely, and the kitchen is large and great for cooking for a crowd. It had almost every dish/appliance we needed. The beds, bathroom, and towels all seemed clean. One smaller issue is that the cleaners have definitely been neglecting things like dusting and mopping, as there were noticeable cobwebs swinging from the ceiling, dust build-up in crevices/doors, and our white socks immediately looked very dirty from the unwashed floors. Overall the house seemed clean except for these issues.

The wife and i wanted a private getaway. This place delivered that pretty well. Was not as private as we wanted, house next door is close and the yard is fairly open. The house was fully stocked with anything you would need. The house was extremely clean and orderly. The fire pit area was awesome and we enjoyed it nightly. The one knock i would give is that the pool deck area needs a good pressure wash.

My family and I had to pack up fast and evacuate for hurricane Ida and arriving to this home was the breath of fresh air we needed. Although we were watching the news and worried for our house back in New Orleans, we had much needed distractions from the deer and beautiful scenery. The home is even more beautiful in person and has a “homey” feeling. We will hopefully be coming back for a real vacation next time. Thank you Annegret and Tiffany!

When we first stumbled across River Rock Cottage in 2018, we never could have imagined the incredible serenity provided by this beautiful and welcoming home! Everything you could possibly need is at your fingertips. The home is pristine and offers stunning views of the outdoors and nature at its best. We have rented this property every year since our initial stay in 2018. Each year we experience something new. Deer leading their yearlings through the treeline on to the property owls flying, landing in the trees and calling to their mate or hawks coming to bid you a good morning. There is absolutely something for everyone. This home is absolutely everything promised in its overview and more! The pool is fabulous! The beds are comfortable and though you feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle of city life, stores, shops and eateries are only a short drive away. The property owner,Annegret, is so much more than a "host." Friendly kind, helpful, and accommodating are just a few of her traits. So, if you're looking for a fabulous home with every amenity you can think of and a "host" with an awesome disposition..... You'll find what you are looking for at RRC!

We had an amazing time at rhe Cottage with our 19month old twin boys, 7 year old daughter, and Au Pair. The property was well maintained, clean, and just what we needed. The owners were very responsive and helpful through the booking and throughout our stay. We will have this on our lists of places to stay again!

The viewing rooms were spectacular. So many nice outdoor areas and the tall trees really keep things nicely shaded and cool. Nicely stocked. The pool was nice and clean.

What a wonderful property!! We stayed here in the middle of a travel trailer trip and what a great place to unwind!! The host provided space to park or 30’ trailer which made this stay so much more comfortable! The property was super clean and comfortable, pool was fantastic for our 7 year old. The location was quite and private. I also want to say what a pleasure the host is, very helpful and responsive - we truly felt at home here!!!! We are planning to make another trip to this property and can’t wait!

We loved our stay, there are some super cute and very friendly dogs on the property that caught us by surprise, and the hot tub was out of order, but it was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay very much.

No issues from booking to checking out.
