Visiting from out of state with adults and 1 child. We have fam in Charlotte and needed a place to stay while we visited fam. I never received any check-in instructions, even on the day of check-in. I was worried about not having a place to stay. Didn’t get response through VRBO app messenger, but when I text owner by telephone then he quickly responded with information. Kitchen did not have enough plates/utensils for use (place is for 12 people, but maybe 6 plates). Only a small pot and 2 small frying pans, which we made difficult to cook for large group. Since we traveled from far, we were expecting to be able to fully use the kitchen and cook some meals during our stay and couldn’t not having adequate size pots and pans for use. The living room couch looked good but it was actually in poor condition. You can feel the coils springs so it definitely needs replacement. Garbage cans outside were full on Monday when we checked in and so couldn’t throw any of our trash out. I didn’t know when garbage pickup supposed to take place either because no info was provided. After messaging owner, found out pickup is on Thursday so we did put the trash on the street for pickup. Home seemed to be clean. but saw 2 large cockroaches in the home (kitchen and downstairs bath). Not sure if that’s the norm in Carolina because we don’t have such large cockroaches in CA. If you’re looking for a basic place to stay for the night then ok it met that, but would have liked it to be more a comfortable home stay. We would have rather stay in a hotel but chose home so we can cook and that didn’t work out. It is located close to airport and stores.

Overall we enjoyed our weekend away celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday with some friends and family. The location was great. The house could use a paint job and new carpet but the kitchen and bathrooms were all modern and nicely done so it worked for us. Plenty of sleeping room. Dining room needs chairs fixed if you plan on using that room make sure they are fixed.
Owner communicates better via text then VRBO and responded well that way. We would stay here again.

Good location and value
Overall we enjoyed our weekend away celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday with some friends and family. The location was great. The house could use a paint job and new carpet but the kitchen and bathrooms were all modern and nicely done so it worked for us. Plenty of sleeping room. Dining room needs chairs fixed if you plan on using that room make sure they are fixed.

Terrible experience. Upon arriving, I couldn't get in touch with the owner. I had no way to check in, I had my elderly mother with me. When I was finally able to get in an hour late, the sofa was busted up, with a throw blanket on top. There was dog hair everywhere. The fridge leaked water the entire time, I contacted the owner he said he would send a plumber and no one ever showed. There are stains on all the rugs in all the bedrooms, hairs in the beds, the linen was dirty, the chairs in the dining area are all broken, missing their support beams. The game table in the pic can't be touched, I walked by and screws fell out, it's so rickety. I saw 3 roaches and I tried to reach the owner. He said he would send someone out and never did. My mother and I washed all the linen and the floors. I took photos and videos on day one. I would upload my photos if their is a place to do so. I would not recommend this property to anyone. VRBO customs care was great. When I couldn't get in they got me the house code and put in a case, when I called and complained about the condition of the house once I was in.

We were in town for the Belk Bowl and met friends to stay the night. Our family of 8 and the 4 of them fit perfectly and we enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was well stocked but needed a baking sheet. I must say that I was very pleased with this home and the owner. We needed a place to stay for one night traveling through NC to WV. The price was right, home was very well kept and clean. We will definitely keep this one on our radar if in the Charlotte area again.

Clean and Comfy
I must say that I was very pleased with this home and the owner. We needed a place to stay for one night traveling through NC to WV. The price was right, home was very well kept and clean. We will definitely keep this one on our radar if in the Charlotte area again.

Upon arriving at the home, we noticed a car in the driveway. I called the property manager and he said it was probably just the cleaning lady. Our scheduled check in time was 3:00 and this was at 3:45. When we knocked on the door, she opened it with a surprise look on her face. She literally RAN out of the house and jumped in her car and sped away with no words being said.
The house was fairly clean but noticeably needs to be freshen up. Several light bulbs were burnt out throughout the house. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was cracked. There were no towels or sponges in the kitchen for cleaning. Very minimal supplies needed for cooking/baking (we stayed during Thanksgiving week). We ended up having to go to the store to purchase pans to use in the oven. The Venetian blinds in the kitchen where missing most of the slats and should probably just be removed completely. The previous visitors failed to put the completely full trash can on the street so we had nowhere to put anything used. I was able to chase down the trash truck on Friday (the day before we left) to get it emptied. I did call the manager to report these things and while he seemed attentive, nothing was actually done to repair/replace anything. I would definitely recommend a walk through from the manager once the cleaning is complete prior to the next visitors arrival which would’ve possibly prevented some of these issues.
This house could really use some TLC which would probably allow for a higher overnight rate.
