Un piacevole we a Lucca con ottimo soggiorno e servizio presso il B&B Anfiteatro

Il soggiorno al B&B Anfiteatro è stato molto piacevole. La posizione vicina alla bellissima piazza Lucchese , centrale, ad un passo dalle mura e dal comodissimo parcheggio gratuito, è stata perfetta. La camera molto spaziosa. L'host e lo staff della Locanda i Tre Merli, con cui collaborano per il servizio di colazione, sono stati gentilissimi e ci sono venuti incontro per le nostre esigenze di check-in e di colazione anticipata (per via dell'orario di inizio della mezza maratona, che non ci avrebbe altrimenti permesso di fare colazione in struttura come da offerta).

La posizione

La colazione alle 8:30 del mattino. Avevo scelto appositamente questo posto perché c’era la colazione inclusa che alla fine non l’ho fatta perché sono dovuto andare via prima delle 8;30 . Certo, io avrei potuto leggere fino in fondo il messaggio automatico che mi era arrivato il giorno prima e chiedere di anticipare, ma questo non giustifica che la colazione si faccia così tardi. In qualsiasi b&b del pianeta la colazione inizia tra le 7:00 e le 7:30 Max. Non mi è piaciuto l’ingresso dell’edificio. Troppo fatiscente! La pulizia in camera non era granché.

A great location

The location of this B&B was great. We didn't see the staff - except for check-in and at the breakfast so I can't really comment on that. We loved Lucca!

We have stayed many times at B&B Amfiteatro as visit Lucca regularly.They offer property in different buildings all close to the piazza and all decorated in same style..super clean and comfortable with great facilities,many with a shared kitchen which we find extremely helpful.

This has happened twice now..no answer at main reception buzzer..no answer to phone calls(several)Receptionist finally appeared around 20 mins after check in time.Some guests could find this very concerning and stressful and we feel it needs resolving.

We had a great stay and I would definitely come back another time.

Beautiful location, clean and spacious rooms, and overall great value for money.

The only minus was the breakfast. They ran out of bread and eggs more than 30 minutes before breakfast officially ended, so several guys in our group had to buy their breakfast elsewhere. Also, to be honest, the quality of the food was note great at all. It must be said, though, that breakfast in general is the Achilles heel of the otherwise divine Italian cuisine, so it's not a massive surprise – but still not good.

Superb

We had a good one night stay at B&B Anfiteatro and everything was sufficient for our short visit to Lucca. We also enjoyed the included Italian breakfast at the owners' nearby restaurant. Both the accommodation and the restaurant have beautuful interior decor and a nice homely atmosphere. The location is right in the centre of Lucca's Old Town and just behind the amphitheatre. Definately recommended to fellow travellers.

Always live returning to Lucca and will be back again I’m sure. Would probably choose to stay in a similar area and may

excellent location close to Amphitheatre and good restaurants. Room very comfortable and use of kettle and cups was nice to make a hot drink. Good breakfast served outside when weather good at restaurant next door.

Slow draining sink and smelly drain drain. we stayed 4 nights and room not cleaned or towels changed. Regular hours of attendance for staff could help, we rarely saw anyone there.

Perfect location , easily walkable from the station , check in fine , young guy (also the chef at their restaurant where you have breakfast ) very helpful , Room in an apartment suite 30 seconds from check in.. Room was lovely , bed clean and comfortable , good shower (toilet seat needs tightening). Breakfast was a selection of pastries , juice , coffee , yoghurt , not buffet .

Check out was a bit chaotic. Ladies running checkout didn't arrive until 10:10 so if you want an early checkout let them know in advance.

Good. Apartment was detached in another street to the advertised address. Bit difficult to find.

Aircon could have been better; it was not really strong enough to cool such a large room. But I opened the windows on three sides of the room , so it was Ok later.i

Excellent location. Room was very spacious.

Arrived and were taking to a slightly different location than that advertised on booking.com. Breakfast was very basic - felt like leftover cake from day before. Staff weren’t very helpful.

Lucca is a fun city, this property is well presented and in an ideal location

Room was excellent. Spacious, very clean and unmarked. Excellent location adjacent to the old Roman Amphitheatre, now full of restaurants.

Breakfast was presented cheerily, just seemed a bit like the prior night's left overs. Still fine to eat, just an odd assortment

Fantastic location right next to Piazza Dell'Anfiteatro, and a corner away from Lucca old town's lovely shopping street, Via Fillungo. All restaurants, cafes and attractions are withing easy walking distance.
