Feel like home

The people were great. I liked the big room, the Complementary starting basket with coffee and tea, it had all necessary appliances to feel like home (even a decent sized fridge if you like to grab some breakfast before leaving to the beach), pretty close to the beach, fresh fruits on the house ( daily), safe parking,any kittens playing around ( this probably can't be guaranteed for each stay haha), rooftop space to see the Perseids.

Decent for the price and location

The parking, the free fresh fruit in the morning. The staff was super nice and helpful. Very close to a nice beach. Perfect air conditioning system. TV was nice. Room was very big.

It's a really noisy place. If you intend to sleep longer, either get hear plugs or skip this place all together. Doors banging all the time, furniture being dragged across the floor. Very frustrating Toilet is very cramped. The lamps are super white and bright. You should replace some of them for yellow lights.

Excellent stay - good place, good price!

Very friendly owner and staff! We received a lot of good advice what to see, where to go ... The fresh fruits were very kind and excellent every day!

Exceptional

Great quiet location. 5min walk to beach. 30mins walk into the old town. Apartment simple, but had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and very helpful with local knowledge. Loved the fresh fruit every day.

Great value for the money.

The place is so clean and located nicely close to multiple beaches and the city center. 30 minutes walking distance from each. There is fresh fruits all the time for grabs! The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts! The room was nice and tidy, the wi-fi connection was reliable and the a/c functioned well. Good location and connection to the city!

You might wake up with the roosters from the neighbouring farm, but that can also be charming..

Great place to stay for holidays.

Very beautiful and calm place to stay! The host, receptionist and housekeeper - they were all amazing and helpful 👍 Fresh season fruits and vegetables in the guest room for free, Private parking - you can always find a place for your car, clean and comfortable. Great location - very close to the beaches and 2 km from Chania ! The host gave us a small traditional gift when checking out. So nice and lovely 😊 Thank you so much to staff !! Everything was perfect 😍

Great place for your vacations!

Extremely nice place to stay in! The host, the desk lady and the cleaning lady - they all was amazing! Fresh fruits and vegetables in the host room, private parking - you can always find a place for your car, Clean and cozy. Great location - very close to the beaches and to Chania. We were provided even with an umbrella! The host gave us a small traditional farewell present. If I would choose the hotel for my next visit to Crete? - definitely YES! The only small issues were: - the toilet's flush mechanism was a bit faulty - water was dripping from the shower head, you had to close the tap really strongly

A fantastic stay, right next to a beautiful beach!

The owners were very helpful and friendly. The father even dropped us at the bus station when our taxi didn’t show up. Loved the local beach next door too!

Great staff - good value for the money

Staff is super kind, helped us with all needed. The room is with balcony with sea view and own little kitchen, the bed was very comfortable. Beach nearby is good but better to rent a car and visit the beaches Elafonisi and Balos - really worth it. Good value for the money.

Should be cleaning at least 4 times for 8 days stay in my opinion. Otherwise the cleaning lady was really nice and polite with us.

Very helpful and polite personnel. The place is not in the centre (old town oh Chania), but the ratio "price - benefit" is the best and the location is very communicative. Clear rooms, very comfortable kitchen and double bed. Quiet place, nice garden, the beach is 4-5 min walking. Big shop located 1 min waling away. I strongly recommend "Ilona Apartments" hotel, especially for the "Raki" lovers :-)

Friendly staff. Clean appartement. Plenty of parking space. Close to the beaches. Chania is approx. 2.5 km away. It was easy to find thanks to google maps. Fruits and tomatos were available for free. The fridge worked. The other kitchen utilities I did not use. When I checked out I was given a small ouzo as a present. There is a roof top solarium which is hardly ever used. I can recommend Ilona appartements if you are satisfied with an older building. It even has an elevator!

The toilet was to close to the wall.

Great hospitality and a nice place

Greatly added value the fact that the owner was offering for free a small selection of fresh vegetables (cucumbers, peppers), fruits (tomatoes, figs, pears) and other (lemon) every morning. They had also a a borrowing library in the entrance with books, guides, magazines and beach toys. The apartments are nearby the Chania center, about 5 min by car (increased to 15min perhaps due to heavy traffic). Also on foot or 2, 3 min by car we could find a nice beach for us and the kid (with no waves even when N, NE winds are blown). The service was great and polite, they helped quickly with every request.

The apartment needs a renovation, especially the (small) bathroom for that price range. The main negative from our side was that the bathroom was always wet, perhaps due to a leak. The contributed humidity from the nearby sea was adding to a not so pleasant atmosphere inside. Fly screens would be very helpful also for all the window openings to allow air and light, without any unwanted flies or mosquito. Also the roof garden needs improvement so it can look better.
