The lodge itself was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful, the ground are stunning. The animals risking the sure added so much to our experience. Convenient to Kruger.
Backup generators for listening would be a major upgrade.

Always a pleasure to stay at Kruger Park Lodge. Rooms are sacious, well equipped.
Grounds are well kept.
Good play area for children.
Restaurant very good value for money.
Relaxing and tranquil.
The lodge we stayed at has a problem with termites on the patio.
One of the boards has been eaten away and poses a hazard.

Beautiful place and leasure activities are splendid. The restaurant is good while also equalised by braai facilities. Good surroundings malls.
The communication between gate and staff there and reception is haphazard. Not complete instruction re entry alarms into units were issued to us.

the location of the property is perfectly situated by the river which is stunning
the property was extremely dirty, the bed linen had not been changed from the last guests and everything was extremely dirty with dust everywhere. There were also a lot of cockroaches. It was difficult to get anyone to clean the property and when they did, they only skimmed off the top and did not change the ‘unused’ beds from the last guests. These were also dirty.
This made a beautiful family holiday uncomfortable and the sad thing is the purpose was to show international travellers our beautiful country.

Kruger Park Lodge was clean and conveniently located, close amenities and had lots to do for children. House keeping came everyday and it was nice to have the option to eat at or order from the resturant.
We booked two chalets and initially weren't as close together as we had requested and our other party's chalet was older, dark and in poor shape. The lodge managed to move us all to side by side chalets that were in much better condition the next morning.
We were there during stage 6 loadshedding and although there were emergency lights in some rooms, the lack of back up power in the chalet was very problematic and impacted the quality of our stay as all appliances were powered my electricity.
The reception staff could do with more customer service training.

Cleanliness, comfortable. Serviced daily which is a bonus. Great sights around the units and somewhat private.
There is only 1 shower in the unit, all other bathrooms have baths.

We stayed on a Sunday and the following Wednesday.
The Sunday stay included complimentary tea and coffee packets. This was amazing as it was just an overnight stay on the way to the park. It was very disappointing that we did not receive the same on the Wednesday. We phoned and asked for complimentary tea and coffee sachets but were refused by the staff at reception. We found this a bit disconcerting and in fact will think twice about returning.
It may be a small thing but on a single overnight stay is much appreciated.
