Think we were probably unlucky but we wouldn’t stay here again.

The size of the room was generous and the beds were very comfortable. On the face of it, this should have been a lovely stay.

So much! Our check in was fumbled… asking us for our passports then for our visas (not necessary-all info is in the passport). Then they didn’t give us back one of the passports and then they actually hadn’t taken a photo of one of the passports and kept chasing us for it - coming into our room at one point to hassle us for it. They also asked us for full payment before we’d even seen the rooms. The welcome had been so odd that we were beginning to feel strange about it all. Then we were told we could have lunch by the pool, then we were told we couldn’t… then we could… and then we were told we had to take it out ourselves… there were dozens of staff milling around for the handful of guests there so it seemed an odd request. Went into Pushkar for sunset. Unfortunately it’s a bit of a dump so we came back and had a lovely bath and climbed into bed. Almost immediately we were overwhelmed by what can only be described by a religious rave outside that went on all night. Screaming, music, it was awful. Our daughter tried to order a couple of bars of chocolate in the night (no one was sleeping because of the noise) from room service but there was no response. Got dressed went down to reception only to be told she couldn’t. She rather insisted and was told to go to her room and someone would deliver it. Someone came up to her room with a mini bar of chocolate, tried to enter it and told her that’s all she could have and that she had to wait for breakfast! She’s 20. Breakfast was awesome and the service was nice although our son’s waffles took so long we gave up waiting. Check out was a battle. We wanted to ask for some kind of compensation for the whole debacle but were told we could have £12 off (our stay came to around £550). The on duty manager insisted that they hadn’t known about the all night rave (though some of the staff told us that they did). A perfect stay

Everything, this was the best Taj hotel we stayed in on our trip to India. We stopped here to break up the journey from Udaipur to Jaipur so that we could visit Pushkar - we are glad we did! Our suite was huge & comfortable. Everything was very clean & well maintained. Service was outstanding. Grounds were beautiful & peaceful. Frangipani trees everywhere, lotus pond & a peacock wandering around. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant (special thanks to Pem), and then listened to fantastic traditional music in the hotel grounds. We will definitely stay again (for longer than one night) in the future & have recommended to friends & family.

Nice if you don’t want to be in the caos of the town

Nice hotel situated outside the town but difficult to find at night Rooms and hotel are nice but not a 5 star level

Hotel inside seems a little dated, all the rest was nice for a one night stay, just a little out of the way and difficult to find in the evening

the view, location and interiors of the room where we stayed was excellent. the staff was very cordial.

The breakfast spread was at par with similar level of properties, but the taste of the food, including of that what we had for dinner at the same restaurant could be much much better. The dinner was not at all well cooked or tasty and considering the price we paid was absolutely not worth it.

Too good to miss

Amazing hospitality displayed by the staff. They gave us a free upgrade to a Family Suite. Very beautifully built hotel at the footsteps of hills. Restaurant staff and Chefs were exceptional as well.

Location is a bit of a down factor. Hotel is more close to Ajmer than Pushkar. But the views and beautiful architecture more than make up for it.

This is a place we want to go back to, and stay longer.

They upgraded our room which made us happy. Also the facility has been beautifully constructed and really extraordinary. The gardens at night were stunning with the lighting and fragrances. Music performance in the evening at the courtyard was also a wonderful experience.

We wish we had stayed longer :-)

1) all staff were not on same page...Reception told us that there is buffet while there was no buffet..similar things kept happening... the staff across were not totally in sync 2) food wasn't that tasty. it was okayish especially considering it was a Taj property
